Yea I got 1k in, but only about 200 since the encounters. I saw one once, all ng with several others where they were really cool looking and imagine not ce, but you could do nothing with it. I found a Dyson sphere once
Yeah, that's what bothers me about them. They're supposed to house the entire remaining civilization of a planet but they're pretty small. They should have made them at least space station sized.
I found one that looked almost identical. Naturally I started shooting and got something from it, can't remember what. Also got a bunch on sentinel ships on me too
Are there only like 2 cargo pods you can mine when you find destroyed freighters in space? I shoot everything and I feel like I must be missing something
Read on the wiki that some civilizations in these are older than the three races we have in the game. So there could be a whole new alien species in there... imagine opening one to release a procedurely generated alien species!
I found a floating sentient gas cloud last night, which asked me if my physical form was really all of me, then invited me to dance with it. Pretty cool.
I've come across a couple emergency pods. A few deep space listening posts. A jetissoned supply container, abandoned freighters... Hazmat containment units..
Yeah.. That one's pretty cool. I ran into an asteroid worm larvae tonight. Thought I could shoot it but that just made it mad. Tried to zoop me like those underwater horrors.
Definitely been around for a while I remember having a bunch of anomaly detectors and just using em all to see what came from them and I remember seeing something that looks like that and called a civilisation pod
For reference: https://nomanssky.fandom.com/wiki/Emergency_Civilisation_Shelter_Pod
Ain't it funny that it's clearly a ship meant to help things survive an extinction level event, and the first thing we all wanna do is shoot at it to see what kinda loot we can get?
I've encountered one, however the design of mine was much different than what you're looking at in the screenshot.
As some have said, it doesn't do anything, really. I've shot at it with 0 outcome, and communicating with is just proved read-out data on its inhabitants and how many days in space it's been out there.
I've seen quite a few space anomalies but I've never encountered grave of the ocean lord or relic of the first spawn. It's reassuring that even after all these years there's things I've not seen or encountered.
I think they give you about 30 nanites, but thatās about it. They should really focus on giving the anomalies more functionality, it would be cool if we could raid the shelter or something
I saw it once. Was a little disheartened I couldn't interact with it. Something along the lines of 5000 on board, 50000 days since contact with home, and people on board were evacuated from said planet. Nothing more.
Yes, actually, found one in the first 40 hours of playtime by happenstance, and I believe (SPOILER ALERT) one of the expedition missions near the end leads you to one as well, or at least something very similar.
I've seen these. Don't shoot them unless you want sentinels trying to shoot you down. Not that I've done that, just based off what I've heard from others. They're a random space encounter you can get. Nice find.
I love to imagine it's some sort of AI pod with a self contained universe letting that civilization run the course of its life. Probably in a time dilated way so that the whole universe can keep going in the time it takes us to really fly up to it and maybe decide to blow it up.
Ummm...nope, that's a new one to me (400+ hrs of gameplay)
Also at 400 hours and it's my first time finding it.
Found it at atound 250 hrs in... no idea what its used forš¤
16 hours and still not seen one before
Played an hour Iāve seen 5
played 5 minutes seen 7
I don't even play no mans sky and I've seen 10
I saw one when i first started playing but didnt know tf to do with them
Played 55 hrs seen 3
tbf with an hour playtime ur probably the most qualified one hereā¦ itās for the best that you have all 5 of them
Found one the other day it was cool. Wish we could interact with it more like helping it or destroying it
Yea I got 1k in, but only about 200 since the encounters. I saw one once, all ng with several others where they were really cool looking and imagine not ce, but you could do nothing with it. I found a Dyson sphere once
Those exist?!
Yes but I quickly flew away after realizing I couldn't shoot or interact with it, and it's not like it was the size of a star either
Yeah, that's what bothers me about them. They're supposed to house the entire remaining civilization of a planet but they're pretty small. They should have made them at least space station sized.
Found one today and shot it (500 Nanites) and escaped the Sentinels afterwards.. Was a rather long chase.
Looks to be from the outlaws update, so pretty new to the game.
Slappy cake day
Happy cake day!
I found one that looked almost identical. Naturally I started shooting and got something from it, can't remember what. Also got a bunch on sentinel ships on me too
Tried to shoot it with no outcome...
Same
Are there only like 2 cargo pods you can mine when you find destroyed freighters in space? I shoot everything and I feel like I must be missing something
Iāve only ever seen two so I think so
This is what I naturally do too. š
That is something completely different known as a Dyson Lens
Mine was called a shelter pod. I've seen Dyson lenses before and this was different
I came across one that looked a little different than yours. Sad story...
I have seen it, made me sad
Read on the wiki that some civilizations in these are older than the three races we have in the game. So there could be a whole new alien species in there... imagine opening one to release a procedurely generated alien species!
Leave it alone, what If we release the freaking human race
It would change everything! Even the name: Everyones Man/Womans Sky
Every Person's Sky
But what about the non-binary skiesš§ /s
This but unsarcastically.
Aren't all these aliens actually humans anyway?
Yep, if we go Valentine Wigginās Hierarchy of Foreignness

Have you seen the interstellar jail full of dangerous terrestrial creatures and a sentinel walker?
Yeah.. That one's pretty cool. I ran into an asteroid worm larvae tonight. Thought I could shoot it but that just made it mad. Tried to zoop me like those underwater horrors.

I'm pretty sure this is the end of the storyline of the expedition, isn't it? I found this from the beacon you get at the very end.
I think that's the Life Raft, which is a different thing only for the expedition.
Ah, you're probably right actually. It used the same model for me.
I am half way through phase 3 currently, randomly found this while warping to a space station.
Yeah. Same experience here.
Wait thatās like an ark. Oh shit bruh I blew that thing up for some nanites
Bro committed genocide for 100 nanites
Woops

I've seen that only once. Made me feel the wonderous feelings.

you can communicate with most anomalies
Not this one
the one I found told me it has over 700.000 people on board
I found this thing but it doesn't do anything. A waste of time really.
I saw it once. Was a little disheartened I couldn't interact with it. Something along the lines of 5000 on board, 50000 days since contact with home, and people on board were evacuated from said planet. Nothing more.
Found that same 1 the other night ..
I seen one before, doesnāt seem to do much. Shoot it!
I found a Hyperspace Navigation Station in the starting system of the expedition.
Same but it doesn't do anything.
Found one too, shot at it and nothing. Told me to open the communication line which I did so and they said some stuff and that was it. Was useless.
bombs away!
I found one a week before the expedition started so I donāt think they are related
Yes, actually, found one in the first 40 hours of playtime by happenstance, and I believe (SPOILER ALERT) one of the expedition missions near the end leads you to one as well, or at least something very similar.
Never have seen anything like this, at least not yet. It's a big universe. (currently at 1600hrs)
I've seen these. Don't shoot them unless you want sentinels trying to shoot you down. Not that I've done that, just based off what I've heard from others. They're a random space encounter you can get. Nice find.
Seen it once in 700hr
Yes it's useless
That's awesome. And did they also upgrade the food station on frigates or was I just hungry?
When it comes to NMS, if in doubt, and there's no incoming transmission, try shooting it. Like, a lot.
Found it 50 hours in, I don't think there's really anything, at least from what I remember
Saw one a few months back. No real interaction at all
I love to imagine it's some sort of AI pod with a self contained universe letting that civilization run the course of its life. Probably in a time dilated way so that the whole universe can keep going in the time it takes us to really fly up to it and maybe decide to blow it up.
I've run across a few. Polestar is the first time they did anything. The rest are just decoration for now.
I think thatās part of the expedition as one of the phase 5 goals, did you use the communicator thing?
