No, don't combine Tianeptine with a MAOI

browri

Eh. They now know that tianeptine doesn't have any appreciable affinity for the serotonin transporter, and if it does, it's more likely to increase reuptake than inhibit. Tianeptine is actually most importantly a glutamate modulator at NMDA and AMPA receptors and activates the mu-opioid receptor. But for depression it's only given at maybe 25-50mg. When used for the opioid effects, you sometimes have to take like 3000mgs. If the OP was taking 50mg tianeptine with a moderate 9-Me-BC dose, they would probably be fine. Of course we aren't doctors. So the OP proceeds at their own risk knowing that tianeptine at the end of the day is a tricyclic antidepressant and 9-Me-BC is an MAOI. We know that MAOIs can be cautiously safely combined with amitriptyline, nortriptyline, and desipramine but not imipramine or clomipramine. Those last two are off-limits. And despite being less-robust medications, SSRIs and SNRIs are off-limits as well.

Yes I take max. 50mg Tianeptine per day, I try maybe low doses of 9-ME-BC and see how it affects me.

Purple_ash8

Bingo.

FawkesYeah

Normal doses of each, yes it's fine. Just don't abuse them both together.

Should be fine
