Same thing happened to me. Normally that means it is about to ship but others on here mentioned LG does charge your card completely before the product is ready. It also sounds like LG customer service is giving ultra safe dates but it also sounds like they may have no clue when it would actually ship. If I didn't want WOLED so much I might switch but I don't want a QD.
It does say on their page that they only charge when it's getting ready to ship but I'm skeptical.

I'm 100% with you. What you linked is how the vast majority of product preorders go. I cant' think of another time when I had a charge stick but then waited months.
That said, I think LG will side-step the verbiage in what you linked by saying it is now back-ordered. Maybe we should demand even more off the price? Prob not once they look at all my discounts đ

I guess the first ones out were a test batch? Maybe to make sure tolerances were up to snuff and to make minor production changes that they discovered in that first batch. And/or they opened the preorder to get a better estimation on demand? I have no proof but that could be it. Not familiar with monitor production lines though lol

Yep that is very likely. Having been on this sub just over a month, I have noticed pretty much all 5 manufacturers have rushed these new 4K 32in monitors out the door. I'm going to be overseas for an extended period coming up soon so I may need to change my shipping address if it's looking like a over a month wait from now. I wonder how that request will go lol

At the time of ordering, the page/site also said shipping will start on the 19th, even my order confirmation email says that. My order status on LG still says processing, awaiting shipment. I initially saw the charge on Amex but now itâs disappeared. Im concerned that it will not be charged in time for the Amex 6% cash back which ends in less than a week. I was trying to take advantage of all the cash back - Rakuten, Bing, Amex and the promo code. I may end up cancelling in a few days if nothing changes.
Ordered mine on the 11th, also used Amex 6% back and they paid that out on the 17th. My order from LG originally said delivery by the 15th, I called and emailed but received no estimated date at all, just to âwaitâ.
Chances are, your Amex rewards will still go through like mine did!

Yes, charged showed up during the weekend but was actually dated 2 days before. Also, the Amex cashback hit my account too. I had to reach out to Rakuten and they replied and made an exception for that cashback. Waiting to hear back from MS. Monitor is on the move and is expected to arrive on Wed. I wish I got to take advantage of the 20% accessories promo but Im happy with the price I currently spent, even if I dont get the MS cashback.

Does anyone with a preorder on their LG management page have a "cancel pending" next to their pre order and did not want to cancel? I called and they said it is likely a glitch and will not be cancelled but I am skeptical.
I can't get this monitor to clip higher than 600 nits. Windows HDR calibration, in game calibration in some games, everything clips at 600 nits, which makes no sense to me given that this monitor is supposed to reach almost 1200. I have a QD-OLED variant and the bright highlights look much brighter than this monitor. If it wasn't because of that I probably would've kept it. Asus had the same issue when it launched as it was showing 433 nits and would clip around that but after the recent firmware updates its fixed and now it clips over 1000 nits.
