Omori is the antagonist. He is the embodiment of Sunny's self hatred, self doubt and his desperate need to run away from reality. He isn't a vilain or evil, but he is what holds Sunny from forgiving himself and telling the truth to his friends

HyperVexed

That's not necessarily what an antagonist is, though. Omori wasn't an antagonist up until the end of the game.

guieps

Like I said, Omori is the representation of everything that held back Sunny for four years. If Sunny had overcome these feelings (and Omori) earlier, wouldn't have staied in his house being depressed for so long, and his friends wouldn't have suffered so much. So yes, Omori was the antagonist for the whole game

[deleted]

There is no antagonist in the plot but depression and guilt

[deleted]

Boss is the true antagonist

Bubbly-Education-320

The guy that did [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ihw7fN7PRN4)

CM_Samurai

The true antagonist? *IT WAS AGATHA ALL ALONG-* ![gif](giphy|QksWtMmZQ9rVHYir0Z|downsized)

AgateWhale

If there is one, it’s Omori. Or Sunny himself. Something also serves as a force against the protagonist, though arguably a secondary one.

TheRedDeath2

If you voted Omori, then you're technically voting for Sunny too. >!Omori is Sunny's overall sense of guilt. However, he is part of Sunny as a whole. Keep in mind that the Omori fight is literally just Sunny fighting the urge to not kill himself.!<

Serious_Pipe_5785

NO ANTAGONIST MY ASS! OMORI TRIED TO TAKE OVER SUNNY’S MIND TO MAKE HIM DO SU!C!DE AND YOU’RE TELLING ME HE AIN’T NO VILLAIN?

Bubbly-Education-320

>!Omori is still part of Sunny. What Omori did to Sunny is nothing more than what Sunny wanted to do to himself.!<

Serious_Pipe_5785

Honest reaction: ![img](emote|t5_31hpy|2473)

Bubbly-Education-320

Basically TLDR?

Serious_Pipe_5785

No I read, it’s just that my smooth and tiny brain still thinks that Omori is the true villain because even IF Sunny wanted to do that to himself, Omori is still guiding him to that. And I think that’s pretty bad

Bubbly-Education-320

>!By your logic, Sunny would ultimately be the villain. (At least it makes more sense that way)!<

Serious_Pipe_5785

I agree >!to disagree!<

Bubbly-Education-320

>I agree >!to disagree!< Ok

Cr4ze0

That would make it a person vs self conflict tho no?

Bubbly-Education-320

>That would make it a person vs self conflict tho no? I suppose?

OMORI-MOMENT

He had good intentions though so it’s all g

Serious_Pipe_5785

Uh oh

-_Datura_-

I don't really see Omori as an antagonist tbh, his character didn't seem to have I'll intent. He pretty much existed to protect Sunny

guieps

An atagonist isn't necessarilly evil, it's someone who is oposing the protagonist, even if the intentions are good

__Pin__

he existed to keep the truth hidden no matter what, even if it meant making sunny kill himself

AdAdmirable5901

Something is the main villain during most of the game but near the ending >!Omori becomes the final antagonist so I think you can count both of 'em as the two main villains in the game!<

HyperVexed

Something is an obstacle, not a villain. Something isn't a character that has any moral drive, it merely exists.

HyperVexed

You should spoiler flair the post OP

mtbalshurt

It was me

CheckDaPakReddit

the friends we made along the way

Equivalent-Novel-237

Kel is the antagonist

ShokaLGBT

It’s >!MARI!< cause without them there wouldn’t be the whole game *_* weird logic I know!!
