Yeah I tried a 30gb + yesterday.....taking turns putting 3d full sbs movies at a time to watch directly from quest 3. I just plug into PC and move the stuff in explorer on my laptop

The quest doesn't have Thunderbolt. Your thunderbolt cable will just act as a regular USB-C cable.

WakinNBakin

I know it doesnt support thunderbolt directly, however in terms of data transfer speed, Yes the better cable will still make a difference.

void_dott

Yeah, a thunderbolt 4 cable is compatible with USB4 and should give you 10Gbps or 20Gbps on USB 3.2.

SideQuest has been the main Quest management app almost since day 1. Pretty sure most people would know this already as it’s always recommend to use SideQuest to transfer files and manage the device. But glad you worked it out.

PXSaber

Yeah thats a problem with Sidequest. The solution is Android File Transfer. Download the application and run it. Connect your Quest via the provided USB C cable to your macbook. Inside the headset go to notifications and click on the „USB detected“ message. Then you’re able to access all your folders within Android File Transfer. Drag an drop your files into the movie folder and wait until transfer is completed. Maybe turn off any screensaver or battery saving options on your MBP that might shut it down. 70gb will take some time
