Just keep in mind that the device has a ton of points of failure, and to be really careful with it.
The lenses are plastic and relatively easy to scratch. Clean them with a microfiber cloth carefully and regularly, because a scratched lens (even a tiny scratch) can ruin the image quality. Also if you wear glasses be careful not to have the glasses rub against the lenses - what I do is I take my glasses off, nestle them in the headset a bit away from the lenses, push my face into my glasses, strap on the headset, and pull my glasses closer to my face if possible.
The lenses also can act as a magnifying glass, and can potentially fry your screen if they're exposed to potentially as little as a minute of continuous direct sunlight. So don't take it outside unless it's covered, and don't leave the lenses facing a window. Also consider getting a cheap foam lens cover to use while you're not using the headset.
The controllers, so far as I can tell, aren't especially fragile. But I'd suggest you're a little bit cautious when setting up your "guardian" boundary, smack them into a wall too hard and you might break them.
Also I've heard about third-party link cables for PC play breaking the charging port. Most people don't have any problem with the third-party cables, I chanced it and my port is fine but the cable somehow didn't fit properly. Third-party cables are way cheaper and probably fine but they're a gamble.

I think sidequestvr is just the site that let's you browse/search for titles in the official AppLab, then the links take you to the Oculus Store. You can't search for AppLab titles in Oculus Store unless you type the name exactly.

The only difference is that app lab shows up in all apps whilst sideloading only shows up in unknown sources. It also doesn't update without connecting it to sidequest again. So the app lab version is way better imo

I like external tracking more if quest was 100 dollars more and not trying to be as dirt cheap as possible sacrificing in places that were not necessary it could be so much better
Good timing too, in that sweet spot of a 128GB model being only $300, better face strap, oculus just got broken off from Facebook, and the Quest pro still doesnāt come out for another year and a half.

The quest is the exact same price as the Rift. LITERALLY.
The Rift is no longer available to buy, and also requires a gaming PC. Which I do have one, but it's a hand-me-down I got last week.
