Is your phone and quest connected to the same wifi?

Ramattei

Yes, in the end what did it was activating gps. The app was asking for Bluetooth even though it was activated and with permissions but I think it might be a bug and it meant gps.

Geeze. I enjoy VR and the quest is a good product but Meta is such a fucking slimy company. There's absolutely no reason for it to require GPS. And I don't believe for a second that it's a mistake.

Thanks, that fixed it for me too, although I had to give them the precise location, not just approximate. ...and I agree w/ /u/bobobo_bobo_bo that they're slimy and there's no (legitimate) reason for this. Doesn't surprise me coming from facebook though.

This worked for me. As soon as I enabled the permission to allow location everything worked and my headset connected

You are amazing not sure if you'll see this but I did factory reset and spent so much looking around to think it was that simple...and I even asked them to call me they never did..so thank you if you read this

this worked for me too, thank you. starting to regret buying something from meta honestly, they tried getting me to change it to precise location from approximate like 4 times too...

I had to restart my phone. After I restarted it and got on the app. It asked if I would like to allow Bluetooth. I said yep and it worked!
