This happened for me for EVERY. SINGLE. GAME like I get it’s my own fault, but I clicked on something Yakuza related, and Persona 4 was spoiled for me, and something similar happened with 3 & 5

if it makes you feel any better OP I wholly believe that the ending is enhanced by understanding what is happening as it hit me way harder on my 2nd playthrough years later

I think the game works better if you know how it ends. Cuz thematically it's inconsistent and it doesnt present it's ideas clearly and those ideas also clash with the gameplay loop but if you know where it's headed you can more easily appreciate what it's trying to say even if the game itself is not very good at saying ir

I read about P3's ending last year when I was trying to figure out some lore stuff (P5R was my introduction to the series), honestly didn't occur to me that Atlus would give the game the royal treatment. I'm near the end of December and don't know if I have the heart to continue. I will finish, of course, but its a bit rough hearing Makoto and his friends swear oaths to each other, encourage each other, etc under the pall of the appriser's shadow knowing what's going to happen. I don't know any of details of P4 and don't want to since we're probably getting P4R in a year or so.
