Yeah, this show was a big deal for 15 year old me. I mean, other than there being a barcode on her neck, I don’t remember anything about it; I was watching for Alba. It’s also why I watched the Flipper reboot when I was younger than that.

Great first season. Second season was a mess.

Yah, what happened to that? Like I've never seen an prime time action series tank SO quickly after 1 season. S2 was immediately: wtf is going on I'm not watching this again.

It's more common than you think. Network execs get it in their heads that a good show could be "great," if only for whatever awful vision they have, so they push revisions or, in some cases, hire a whole new showrunner, and the show takes a nosedive after the retooling. There was a few years where this was all too common around action-adventure shows. Human Target, Taken, XIII, The Transporter, and Legends all had rock-solid first seasons, but were changed for the second season and ended up DOA because of it. In every case listed, the producers/showrunners completely misunderstood the appeal of the show and reworked it until it was unrecognizable.

You named some good ones. I really enjoyed Human Target. I seem to remember Legends just not coming back and wondering what happened..

Thr second season was a total retooling. The main character was on the run and hiding out in Europe, but the plot lines were told through the eyes of someone hunting him through his previous cover identities. It was a complete mess.

Cameron was an executive producer. He came up with the broad idea (chick living on thr run from thr program that created her) and let others take it from there.

Sure the game is awful. She is just stunning though. I’m looking through a streaming service and the shows on it so I start watching it for the first time since back then. I’m taken back by her beauty just as much as I was back then. The early seasons it was before she had over the top professional makeup and dyed hair. She looked much more naturally beautiful. 5 years after she had the same type of makeup so many of the top Hollywood woman get and they end up looking so similar. When her hair was dyed blonde and she had that makeup she looks like Trumps daughter. She’s so much more beautiful than she is. She didn’t need that stupid makeup. There were a few just drop dead gorgeous actresses at that time. Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Biel were also just so stunning.

I dunno about the person you responded to, but I've stopped naming these kinds of streaming sites because mods (not necessarily here) usually shadow-delete the comment anyway.

I mean, either it’s a legal site or it’s not. If it’s not, then they shouldn’t name it, publicly OR privately, and if it is (Tubi, Hulu, Pluto, Paramount+, etc.) then there’s no reason NOT to name it. But from the little bit of digging I was able to do, I was able to find it, and it was definitely not on legal sites, so now I get it.

I didn’t really like Xena. I remember when that show came out it was a big deal to a lot of people. To me it was way too cheesy. Now “Le Fenme Nikita” was more my style compared to Xena. Had a cat Named Nikita that lived for 22+ years.
