What happened to Tara Reid? She just kinda fell out of the spotlight after American Pies.

Drugs, booze, bad choices, plastic surgery... The usual greatest hits for those with good looks and very little talent who made it big too quick. What is different is that for the party girls of the time, she seemed to piss off Perez Hilton for some unknown reason. Because he went after her hard. Every little mistake she made, he blow it up like it was the worst thing ever. So while she was pretty tame compared to others who were releasing sex tapes and whatever else, she was getting pelters for wearing the wrong strapless dress or some pointless shit. She, like the others, tried to move into reality TV, but that ended after one season. I think the premise was basically she goes to parties and night clubs around the world, and cameras follow her. Sounds awful, but hardly any worse than any of the other dogshit reality tv that was going at the time.

‘Taradise’. It basically showed her downfall on camera.

One of my favorite TV moments was a Taradise episode where she stands on a rock and drunkenly screams "We're on top of the world," and her brother explains they're at sea level, the lowest you can be without being underwater. It was funny, but there was an unintended metaphor there too.

Worth a watch though?

I appreciate you comment but feel the need to interject in a minor way: her level of "talent" has nothing to do with her shame, mental health issues, poor decisions, etc. some of the most talented people on the planet have made SIGNIFICANTLY more harmful decisions and taken significantly more harmful actions on themselves and the people around them than anything Tara has done. low talent and fame does not = mental health issues and substance abuse. generally there is shame, anger, and other underlying shit going on long before we even know these people exist. no one is immune to substance abuse. the bottle of alcohol doesn't care if you're michael jackson or an amateur singer in a small nightclub.

Apparently it’s based on the actual novel’s sequel, so fingers crossed that’s a green flag. I haven’t watched it but when I saw Honor Society’s trailer I thought it looked like a spiritual remake of Election.
