Every researcher working in image processing or computer vision [knows this woman](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lenna) very well. She really is stunning. Back in 1995, Playmate [Cynthia Gwen Brown's centerfold](https://thumb-p5.xhcdn.com/a/YYk_NWMUWIWGvLdeLHuguw/000/056/887/525_1000.jpg) seemed to be an apparent homage to the [famous Lena image's source](http://kevinrye.net/index_files/lenna-so0308derberg-1972_620.jpg). It comes to mind because I had it up in my dorm room back in the day.

Not to be confused with Eline Slagboom, a well known Dutch biologist. Interestingly, her photographs were widely used in the emerging field of process imaging in the time. The image you are seeing was later ripped out of the November magazine in which it appeared and used by professors at USC to test image compression and 'noise' or stochastic removal. The image is still used today in scientific journals. It is regarding as a compelling test shot for lighting and resolution. I like them small titties too.

We manipulated a cropped picture of her in my grad school Image Processing class.
