My only problem with the Accel OG’s is that it feels like they shortened the toebox from what it used to be. I probably had 10-15 pairs growing up and can swear it wasn’t as stubby, that being said I still have 2 pairs of the reissues and love wearing them, just not for skating

Most likely added a little padding too. Even if the true og accels were puffy by todays standards, surely they weren’t this puffy.

As they break in the puff goes down a bit but they great for skating, the originals from 96-200?, were a bit more pointy and less puffy. Es’ has let it leak they are working on a scaled back Accel soon.

They feel like comfy slippers too, the accel OG’s always remind me of those old Ninja Turtle slippers from the 90’s.

40yr here and I find skating shoes fit my foot the best, need a wide base.
They were one of the slimmer skate shoes of their time as well, if not the slimmest.

they are for skating ? Wow, they sure do look comfy . but ankle support ?
Same as any low top skate shoe, they are great for skating, easier to get used to if you grew up in the era they are from.
