Same. I’m not going diving with my $10k watch so who cares? Give me the grey market $8k one vs $14.5k plus tax for a new one. They’re almost identical.
Half of that price difference is due to the ceramic + titanium deployant tho.
Just wanted to point that out since no one seems to realize how much those deployants cost.
Sounds like the price for the steel one... you sure the ceramic is only 500 euro?
In the US theres a 1.6k usd difference between DSOTM with and without deployant.
Interesting that its so cheap. So its actually cheaper to get a GSOTM/DSOTM without the deployant and then just buy it separately later lol. Unless of course getting with discount via AD or grey market.
Taking aside the readability of the time, the new one is a stunning piece. It's really beautiful, lots of details, etc...
Too bad it's in 44mm, though. These make quite large watches. But probably that in 42mm, it could feel too packed.
I seem to be the only one that feels this way, but I don’t see the big deal with the price increase. That Saturn rocket second hand is so cool. Plus the deployant etc and the price change is fairly reasonable. It’s a luxury good, and a niche one at that - how many people buying an omega are buying the dark side of the moon? The price doesn’t have to make sense.
Me watch box ;) - lol jk, they had both at Bond Street Omega Boutique in London. Surprised they had old one considering it’s now officially discontinued. Stock must still be lying around (yikes)
They should have refreshed the entire range with a new movement + master chronometer certification
If it looks the same who cares tho
Im in the same boat. Ppl talk about movement and stuff like that but I dont really appreciate that, it's all about looks for me.

Well yeah, but if you're gonna raise the price by 35% you could at least do something new inside too to justify it
For Real
It's not even different just a different bridge.
Rocket ship seconds hand!
Appolo was 7 on chrono without it that's one expensive 🚀
what a joke
Took my words. I seen them for 7k bro lol
So you’re telling me these are two different watches??
Kind of want the new one, but don't like that the tachymeter scale and signed crown are now enamel rather than Super-Luminova.
Very poor legibility on both of these: can you even see the hour hands? So do you want a watch that doesn’t tell you the time?
Mr Wonderful taught me it’s all about the dial though
Wow, thanks Omega. 🙄
Omega being omega.

The price on the NTTD nato was already a joke because of that little piece of titanium. But for Apollo 8, the original was already in ceramic, no?
The original had a tang and buckle, not a deployant. If you look at DSOTM prices, the deployant is a 1.6k difference.
deployment buckle is +/-500 euro , so not at all 1.6k. You can order it from Omega.

strap and ceramic deployant costs $900. Source: bought one a couple months ago because pin buckles suck!

Great watch but Omega is going loco with their prices
The second hand being the Apollo craft is so much cooler AND the moon image on the old one is much more visible. Shame.
Isn’t the rocket one the new one?
Yes, I am an idiot. The left and newer one does look better then imo lol sorry gang
>The second hand being the Apollo craft is so much cooler To me it looks silly; like something you'd put on a kid's' toy. To each his own, right?
Corporate needs you to find the difference...

Is the original Apollo ceramic ?
$ ?
£13.5k

… where did you go that has both to show?
Me watch box ;) - lol jk, they had both at Bond Street Omega Boutique in London. Surprised they had old one considering it’s now officially discontinued. Stock must still be lying around (yikes)
Meh 🫤
If only had yellow dot above 100, would buy
If Omega did a new one for me, but Made the Tachymetre in yellow and added the strap from the old.. I'll Rob a Bank immediately to buy that Thing 😊
Love that very detailed small seconds Saturn V rocket 🚀
Is it really a 35% price increase on it?
Always wondered why the old one had little screws on the dial and why they never bothered to cover them up. The one next to the Omega logo bugged me.
So you pay $3.5k for a tiny toy rocket to be added onto a hand of your watch...not sure how I feel about that
Omega needs to stop competing with Rolex pricing it’s gonna hurt them in the long run. Also i wish they offer this lineup in regular 42mm.
Which of the two is the new one?
The one on the left
All of that for a little rocket which I am sure you cannot notice after few wears.
Both hideous
The holes on the strap look smaller on the new one, so more material. Easily justifying the $4k bump in price.
Old material is leather, new is rubber!
Check your meter....
the new strap looks really cheap in comparison
The hands are kind of lost on the dial
Have the original one which is 50 years anniversary. This is a 56th edition to milk some more money. Shame on omega
