One of the differences between the three of them is that Darkshine was never in a fight he couldn’t win. He was never beaten down, or even harmed, by an opponent who legit wanted to hurt/kill him. Everything always died in a single hit. He was essentially playing on God Mode. Once encountered someone who could both hurt him and WANT to hurt him, he panicked. The fact that he received major damage from a monster as sadistic and murder-happy as Vomited Fuhrer Ugly didn’t help matters.

WutGuyCreations

Yup. His entire worldvoew was completely shattered. Its something that'll take him a while to come back from but I think he can pull it off

Jargo

I think he'll pull it off too. I have to wonder if the catalyst will him becoming yet another witness to Saitama's true strength and finding out it was from nothing but training.

Stark_Athlon

It would make for some cool development for sure.

Evilmudbug

Also never fought saitama, for what it's worth

YeetMcGheet123

He actually fought his "ghost" in the Virtual Genocide Simulation

ExtraZwithThat

One of the biggest differences between him and Saitama, when Saitama (thought) someone was there he could fight on more or less even footing he didn’t falter. Goes to show despite his depression and doubts Saitama genuinely is a hero at heart

Ghede

He wasn't a warrior, looking for a good fight. He was a bully (for justice, but a bully none-the-less). He liked fighting monsters and people weaker than him, to show off his strength/vanity.

thomas_hugos

Nah I always thought darkshine was a nice guy or team player type, as he always tells the heroes around him to give it their all. But I do agree he has a thing for showing off his muscles

RedPoliceBox

He has/had quite the ego and high opinion of his physique, but I can't think of a single instance where he was a bully.

toyoda_the_2nd

No way Dark Shine is a bully. Dude is a show-off, but also very kind to the others. He is proud of his body, but naive.  He's not stupid though, he warned Genos to not upset Tatsumaki so at least he's aware of her strength.

Cromsearchthrowaway

t. Garou

Kioga101

Didn't help that VFU was ideologically an opposite to Darkshine. Makes it all the more shocking for the fella.

Ksemil

in the webcomic although he is doing something He hasn't got a comeback yet so we can only make theories for now. Webcomic Spoiler: >!he becomes an instructor for neo heroes recruits while avoiding combat himself!<

IllustriousGuitar941

where can I read full Web comic from current ninja arc

The_mutant_lord

This is the link for the webcomic, but I don’t know where the ninja village arc is, sorry https://cubari.moe/read/gist/JYHJU/

Time-Equipment831

how to use this with manga OPM or other manga or comic ?

SkollFenrirson

On the Web

Comfortable_Bid_4862

Use comick.io

iamlovingblackclover

Not relevant, but happy cake day!

Comfortable_Bid_4862

Thanks lemme give you the link...... Here..... https://comick.io/comic/00-one-punch-man-webcomic-original

iamlovingblackclover

Ok I dont need it tho

Comfortable_Bid_4862

Ok 👌

thomas_hugos

There’s also a link in this subreddit’s description/bio

discue

chapter 55 of the webcomic is where season 2 of the anime left off, so i recommend you start reading from there since a lot plays out differently. Chapter 111 specifically is where the ninja arc starts tho [wc chapters](https://cubari.moe/read/gist/Z2lzdC9mdW5reWhpcHBvLzcxMjRhZjUyMWExMDU5NDVhNGRmNmEzMzFjOWZjZTU5L3Jhdy9vcG0td2MuanNvbg/)

GoldGolemGaming37

https://www.novelcool.com/chapter/One-Punch-Man-Webcomic-Original-143/10707472/ I read it from here, start at chapter 117 as that’s where the manga is up to. The webcomic’s Ninja Village is a bit different to the manga’s tho

Cromsearchthrowaway

>!Seeing him both hold back the recruits, as well as getting dissed by everyone at neo-heroes hurts. !

iamlovingblackclover

Damn

Upbeat_Sail

- Garou becomes a hero.  - Meets again with Darkshine. - Join forces / Team up, after Garou inspires him to become a stronger character both physically and mentally. Might even train together. That's what I think might happen. [Image on X](https://x.com/ASAnime6/status/1786715113598136491)

praktiskai_2

Garou tries teaching him Flowing Stream Rock Smashing Fist Task failed successfully: Darkshine instead learns Still Rock Rock Rocking Rock, the technique having him throw rocks with minimal movement while maintaining his iconic crouched sulking pose Darkshine while remaining crouched, seemingly slides on the ground towards monsters where they are bombarded with pebbles propelled by seemingly nothing Tatsumaki realizes his expert rock flinging is a result of psychic powers, (forcefully) adopts him as a disciple, improving his technique by leaps and bounds Now, Darkshine the S class rank 3 hero having usurped Metal Knight's rank and role, ever crouched and ever sulking, flies around like a cannonball carpet-bombing monsters from high above like the impenetrable airborne fortress that he is. Even having given up on his muscles, they do not fail him as any attacks to bypass the many tons of rock orbiting him, upon impact aren't even enough to draw his notice

ArtByRam

peak, please contact ONE and take control of the story

Kastorbeast

Peak fiction

Regular_Mo

Darkshine trains him and then we get Garkshine

_Dipshit289_

Well, neither has on screen murdered an entirely *innocent* human. Garou didn’t purposefully murder any. Sonic probably has at points though during his assassin career

UrLocalCrackDealer34

In the newest chapter sonic decapitates some of the ninjas with his blade

AmaPicklerick

They're not exactly innocent.

toyoda_the_2nd

They're batshit insane. Plus they are the one trying to kill the two first.

Dramatic-Bandicoot60

*innocent* human

WutGuyCreations

To be fair, Garou never killed any humans until going Cosmic (to my knowledge) and that was all undone after the zero punch. Garou, as fsr as we know, left each human/hero he fought alive but only with severe injuries in most cases lol Sonic though..? I can see where youre coming from.

tinhboe

>Garou, as fsr as we know, left each human/hero he fought alive but only with severe injuries in most cases lol So garou is literally batman lol [1 more punch would kill you, and i won't kill you](https://youtu.be/eargrlvfc14)

RedditorInDenial2004

Sure, but what is anyone supposed to do? Killing them is hard enough for the vast majority of people, and imprisoning them is downright impossible considering they can’t even contain puri puri prisoner. And it’s not like either are the biggest problem going, as things currently are, so it’s not like focusing efforts on them would be logical in any real way. Hell, they’ll probably even be extremely useful for the heroes in the future, so putting them out of commission would probably be a bad idea. They do DESERVE consequence, no doubt about it. But actually finding one that both works as a punishment, is possible to actually implement, and doesn’t deny any possibility of future usefulness is a challenge in itself. It’s a hard pill to swallow but, in a world like this, and with the situation being what it currently is, it might be best to just let it go.

frobischer

I'm reminded of Journey to the West. Saitama is like the priest that converts demons to Buddhism instead of slaying them. They then join him on his journey.

Caped-Baldy_Class-B

Darkie has to get his redemption moment. He’s struggling rn I think he is going to have a moment where he gets to be really brave, maybe even levels up. One playing the long game with this character’s arc.

ElectricCuckaloo

Who has to get his redemption moment?

Caped-Baldy_Class-B

Darkshine.

WishMaster-000

Poor Darkshine. He looks so sad and vulnerable, with his fists the size of heads, and his multiton biceps...

Rigelturus

Darkshine is Saitama without going through the mental struggle first. No idea why people shit on him so much. His reaction is normal.

Slight_Wait5853

"better village leader"? you say sonic is better then Empty void? NO WAY SONIC IS NOT BETTER THEN EMPTY GOAT.

Either-Ad-9528

More like 'Throat goat'. Dude scared Blast with his sucking power

Ambar_Orion

From hero to zero

Hawcken

His time will come

HAHA_goats

Meat Wall -> Meat Ball

BaconLordII

I hope darkshine gets back he was such a cool character.

underhunger

He's going to undergo some mental transformation leading him to realize that it's not about shining darkly with a black luster, but shining deeply with a true luster and gain rainbow-related powers of some sort

Broly_

His development will be that he won't be held back by his mental obsession with his 'Darkshine' and as he's fighting, his tan will start to wear off showing his 'real skin' underneath. Is my guess anyways.

MStErLaZy935

From a Confident Man to an insecure child.

Mantiax

to a confident child to an insecure man**

Mr_Fahrenheittt

Bros traps look like pecs

hagemantaeu

He's still black

apposoz

Nah...The webcomic has a better arc for garou imo.

Practical_Pop_8580

Bro just need a PP training

jacksansyboy

Where there exists positive character development, there must too exist negative character development

Mildamoutoftrolling

Went from, “YEAH” to “awwww”

Time-Equipment831

where is my boy Glasses. still training ?

AskGoverntale

The Neo Heroes will certainly benefit from two more S-Class level individuals joining their ranks

realgamer995

Can someone please tell me why new chapter hasn't been released for so long?

RedditorInDenial2004

We’re getting redraws atm

GoldGolemGaming37

They explore his character more in the webcomic, but not much

tobbe1337

the only way for a physical powerhouse to grow is mentally. I think a lot of the haters are just mad that the only black dude is who it happened to lol

DFHDRFG

DS isn't Black tho

General-GhostD13

Can’t wait for my boy suiryu to hit this arc. Low-key would love a spin off for him and Garou just whooping ass

Accomplished_Bid6443

I like how Tank Top Master refuses to give up after having Tatsumaki outshine him, he even makes her his rival and plans on reaching her psychic level with just his muscles

Thanks_For_the_IP

Shower Prowler to Shower Prowled

Euphoric-Aerie-2376

Dark shine is just not him

Snownyann

Garou 🥹😍

Untinted

* Phoenix man had a roller-coaster of an arc. From a pathetic furry, to a pathetic monster, to a lieutenant, to a dragon with his own dimension to a pip squeak back to human-ish. * King also has a great arc so far, but it's ongoing so not a contender as his development is still ongoing. * So I'd say Tareo has the biggest character development. On the guys in the image: * I never liked Garou's arc, it didn't make sense and he didn't learn or grow from it in any meaningful way. It felt more like the writer just writing him how he wanted rather than use the character in an authentic way. * Sonic I don't like as well because the ninja village is ret-conned stuff that the writer did just because he liked the character and now is giving him a backstory that allows him to be more in the foreground, but it changes his character completely which is not how you do backgrounds. * Darkshine's development is solid, but I'd say is still ongoing so not a contender. I'm rooting for the guy to get his mojo back, hope it'll be meaningful.
