Joseph and Kelly showed absolutely zero intent to hurt Larkin. Kelly even took it upon himself to stand over Larkin and defend him against the ensuing scuffle. Then out of nowhere Zub gets completely blindsided with a malicious and ugly crosscheck to the head by Perron. Somehow the hockey night in Canada, commentators and Detroit fans alike are making this out to be some kind of coordinated attack on Larkin. Doesn’t anybody want to talk about what kind of ban Perron should be facing? Of course not. No attention is being given to the pure domination Ottawa showed, tight play and beautiful goals. It’s all gonna be washed away because Dylan Larkin got injured in an unfortunate incident. I’m not saying I don’t feel bad for him and I wish him a speedy recovery. By the commentating and comments from the CBC broadcasters was absolutely egregious tonight. We should be talking about how tough Zub is for taking that hit like that and staying in the game. Detroit fans can go suck an egg if they think there should be a federal case about the injury to Larkin. it’s a contact sport and sometimes people get hurt. It’s a lot different than somebody going out of their way to try and intentionally hurt another player.

That is a premeditated move, and it is exactly the situation that the instigator penalty was designed to address. He fans on a lot of passes, stumbles around etc. I know he's been having some equipment / bone spur issues... but he looks so uncomfortable with the puck. Does it have anything to do with playing on his off side? not having a consistent partner? Are you all noticing this as well?

He’s been inconsistent, Sanderson has also been on and off. I think they might be strained by Chabot’s absence, as Chabby plays a big part, and plays even bigger minutes which now falls on them.
