If the league had closed the sale in the spring or summer, Andlauer should have been able to get his own GM and coach in place. But that didn't happen so they had to run the season with DJ and Dorion and hope for the best. And then the absolute worst case happened.

The Sens simply don't play 60 minutes. That doesn't mean you don't ever give up goals and dominate all the time, it means a balanced game for 60 minutes where you don't just completely shell up for a period and pray for a good outcome when the other team is constantly whipping quality chances on your goalkeeper. 3rd goal was bad from Korpi but that ignores all the other show-stopping saves he had to make that would've actually made this a blowout for AZ.
I really hope the chokejobs are old habits from DJ Smith being a dumbass all these years and Jacques can start implementing new systems and changes. Give it 10-20 games and if nothing changes it becomes pretty clear some players are holding the team back and those players need to go.

I think the moment they lost was when Josh Norris failed to chop down the guy that hit Tarasenko from behind. If Norris would have cross checked him down, the refs probably would have had to call offsetting penalties. But he just kind of watched him creep to the slot. Protect your teammates guys the refs are not going to.

The Sens have given up 4 goals or more in 10 of the last 14 games. They have won one of those games. The game against detroit where they blew a 4 goal lead.
The Sens simply don't play 60 minutes. That doesn't mean you don't ever give up goals and dominate all the time, it means a balanced game for 60 minutes where you don't just completely shell up for a period and pray for a good outcome when the other team is constantly whipping quality chances on your goalkeeper. 3rd goal was bad from Korpi but that ignores all the other show-stopping saves he had to make that would've actually made this a blowout for AZ. I really hope the chokejobs are old habits from DJ Smith being a dumbass all these years and Jacques can start implementing new systems and changes. Give it 10-20 games and if nothing changes it becomes pretty clear some players are holding the team back and those players need to go. Playoffs are most definitely out of the picture, DJ should've been dropped way sooner.

Timmy definitely tries to do too much sometimes. Honestly though I can see why he does it. He’s like the only person than can get in the o-zone. He sometimes hangs on to it too long, and then you have almost everyone else who can’t keep the puck long enough. Just no cohesion. So frustrating.

I think the moment they lost was when Josh Norris failed to chop down the guy that hit Tarasenko from behind. If Norris would have cross checked him down, the refs probably would have had to call offsetting penalties. But he just kind of watched him creep to the slot. Protect your teammates guys the refs are not going to.
