Surface pro ftw.

I have been looking at them for years. Do they really operate like a pc? I’m waiting for the 5g version to come out this year and then I think I’m going to buy the 32gb version.

rhinoggwp

I use it for Google ads, analytics, merchant center, Google ads editor, excel, canva, watch movies, play old games like age of empires, works like a charm. Yes it does operate exactly like a PC, The screen quality is amazing, battery not so much.

Colorbull-Agency

Good to know. I think I’ll pull the trigger when the 5g version comes out.

CheetahsNeverProsper

I’ve been using a SP6 as my main “computer” since launch. It’s a windows computer for non-pc gamers like me. I love it, I’ll be getting another when it dies.

Perfect feedback. Im sold. I don’t need gaming. Just processing power when I’m Multitasking. And the new one with 32gb of ram covers that and then some. I can downsize my laptop and switch to the Samsung zflip for a smaller phone to deal with and then I’ll be much happier. Much cheaper to buy pc and android for employees too than Apple all the time.

Whysosrius

Same. Im not a mac person, got a macbook air at my previous work and kinda hated it 😂

Use a laptop/ desktop to make changes. Use your mobile to keep track on-the-go. The problem with tablet is they have dd scrolling and wrong data entry and your typing on a screen. A mac is 4 lbs. and easy to travel with.

i_maq

I have an iPad Pro and you can't scroll horizontally in Meta Ads Manager in any browser, Safari, Chrome, none of them let you scroll sideways so that's a no go.

Whysosrius

Just. Wow. Looks like I'll be sticking to my heavy-ass laptop

Colorbull-Agency

I haven’t tried this. But we are looking at switching to the new Surface pro to ditch the laptops since it acts more like a pc than a tablet. Maybe it would solve your problem?

tsukihi3

Use a laptop. If you want something light, get an ultrabook size. If you need more screens, get a portable screen or two. There are plenty of good ones on the market. I have an iPad Pro, platform UI is absolutely shite and not made for tablets. I'm starting to think it's not even made for desktop. Forget about the apps, it's even worse. It's only good for daily performance checks, if you need to get in detail, you **need** a computer.

james18205

I found a bug (one of many…) in google ads app where the app essentially freezes when you switch accounts. So I would avoid the Google ads iPad app if you’re thinking about it

Whysosrius

I was just thinking of using chrome / safari for any changes. But what you said is important info

Ive spent a lot of time testing what you’re trying to do. My advice: Get a 14inch laptop since they can be super powerful and very lightweight. Or get a tablet that runs Linux or windows. Android and IPadOS don’t do horizontal scrolling in Meta Ads Manager and is frustrating to look at the reports. Tbh a 14inch laptop is better than a tablet since it’s better to use on your lap, the trackpads and keyboards tend to be better as well.

Mr_Nicotine

Nothing, really. It's stupid that companies don't invest in their ad consoles (looking at you Walmart! Terrible interface) given how many revenue they get from ads. Stick to a MBA Air or an ultrabook if you're a windows guy

ohnoiowa

Big no on any iPad. Actually glad to read here that a surface pro might work out
