The character models are so out of scale with each other they look like they’re from different games.
I think the idea is that putty claps his hands and the shockwave travels and stuns you? His assist does have a longer hit area than the animation makes you think
Yeah the impact effect is a clue, quite a few characters work similarly if you pay attention, such as how I never understood why Kim 2017 seemed to reach further with her twister until I actually looked closely and saw how a small stretch actually reaches out further for about 6-12 frames or so at the start, in a similar fashion to DS Zack's counter.
Yes, this is in fact true, those pebbles flying off are a clue, and he can miss it as it isn’t the full arena, but in this instance putty just hurt this guys ears so badly that he was left dazed, or a pebble hit him straight in the head 🙃
