When the original 360 came out in 2005, sure. By the time the E came out in 2013 though, I expect that math would have changed substantially. No. Phat models require a lot of maintenance in the long run and are a pain in the ass to deal with compared to Slim and Super Slim. Later models were better built as a whole with better parts.
All Ps3 consoles can play Ps1 games, true only a select number can play Ps2 games, but how many are actually worth revisiting ? Most great ones were ported over to Vita, Ps3, and Ps4. I've often said that Xbox is overrated with backwards compatibility as a huge selling point when a lot of great OG Xbox games were Remastered for 360 or released for 360 as an early launch title while OG Xbox version was a late gen release.
I only have Halo, Halo 2, and Scarface The World Is Yours as OG Xbox titles. All of the games from that era were made better on newer hardware at least digitally. I own a Super Slim and I'm fine with it cause I had a Slim back in the day. I own a 360 Slim today and I had one back in the day, I'd never bother with an OG 360

Why would you want to use it on a crt? I thought those were used mainly for older games like NES, SNES, and N64?
