February 15, 2024: I got an email saying that I made 173 payments towards PSLF.
Today, February 26, I got another email saying my loans were forgiven and Mohela site says zero balance.
I applied for the forgiveness during the Temporary PSLF period and had my eligible employers send in filled out forms at that time.
Congrats! I got my email and smiley face today too!
My employers completed my forms on 1/16/24 and my total updated to 150 on 1/29/24. Seemed like everything happened super quick!
I got the email that I'm in forbearance and I have made more than 120 payments. Do I have to still be employed until I receive the notice that the loans are forgiven? I am ready to retire.
Iβm the same boat. According to Mohela you just have to be working full time at a qualifying employer when you submit your final form, but Iβm too nervous to make a life change until I see forgiveness happen. Good luck to you, keep us posted!Β
