Hey, Pathfinders! We've decided with the recent influx of newcomers interested in PF2E that now is a good time to restart the Daily Spell Discussion threads for Second Edition. As you can see, we've added a new feature including the "Tier" ranking from the Knights of Last Call [All Spells Ranked](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLx9XBZIzERNGQcKNRdobeY68sh0yqoGW2) series (with their permission). We hope you find that useful and it sparks further discussion!

I love the various form spells, and this one is nice, although not that versatile. Mostly you get ways to grab opponents and mobility (which are great!). Also, I just like being a Chuul, they’re beautiful.

It's a battleform, so the usual issues of not really keeping up beyond the first level you get it and locking you out of most of your character apply. Nothing impressive in movement modes, you can get climb/swim if you need, but no flight and pretty normal speeds. Probably the best thing here is the Grab ability on a few of them, which is pretty nice, see how the monsters like being automatically grabbed for once.

I've given up on ever preparing or adding battle forms into repertoires, but they *are* pretty good when you find them as loot a level above your highest level spell slots. I make a special effort to add them into my loot pools in that way. Aberrant form is somewhat ahead of the pack because it lets you bypass the usual MAP troubles by giving you access to Grab. It has a *very* narrow frame of usefulness, however, since it only scales from 5th lv spells to 6th.
