If your expectation is an email response in an hour, you need to recalibrate. This isn’t a call center. The people responding, especially professors, are not at their computers checking email 24/7, especially when it’s lunch time, finals week, and really nice outside. Give them a few days.

The dEng program also requires a match to an advisor. It might help if you have an advisor and research topic in mind.
