This article doesn't really present any solid mechanism for how microplastics cause ED. Its seems all they have was that they found microplastics in the penis of 4 people who had ED. But what if most people have traces of microplastics there?

But it seems pretty rational that tiny sharp little objects filling up a spongey tissue could conceivably damage that tissue and make the penis work poorly. From a purely mechanical framework, you have too much stuff in the spongey tissue, if blood can't flow into it properly, you could get ED.
That's not even getting at the known endocrine disruption from microplastics which could affect the boner from a different pathway.
