Born and raised sa Tondo, now living in Cavite. Kebs lang, wala namang masamang nangyayari saken. Partida, sa Drugsmariñas pa ko nakatira. Hahaha. Di pa naman ako naka-witness ng Crime at all. Sa Tondo, araw araw gago mga tao.

Dry-Vegetable8137

Drugsmariñas ft. kiko barzags ftw

jeckypooh

don’t know kung inabot mo pa, pero may pelikula noon FPJ vs Revilla. Ang title ay Sa iyo ang Tondo. Akin ang Cavite. At least neexperience mo pareho di tulad nilang dalawa. 😎

SAPBongGo

I don't know why. Pero my Subconscious wants dirty food in the ever Stinky Divisoria-Binondo strip. My Childhood friends are still there. Most of my relatives are still there. You just can't run away from your childhood siguro.

kosaki16

[deleted]

oh well, buti ka pa. mantalang ako dito sa dasma nabalitaan ko nlng bigshot pala ng sindikato yung kalapit bahay namin, naghabulan sa bubong yung mga pulis at mga members ng isang kilalang crime group, and may naraid sa kabilang kanto bc of drugs. in fairness ah, full gears ang swat ng dasma. properly equipped for the job... and as long registered ka sa dasma, daming access sa govt na di kailangan ng kakilala EDIT: to be fair, nasa bandang resettlement area kami dati but still in dasma, nakahanap ng lugar na mejo malayo dun so fairly safe naman. stereotype lang talaga kung tutuusin. or di ko sure, swerte lang siguro sa brgy na nalipatan

SAPBongGo

Well, tambakan ng tao sa Area e. Expect na kung sinu-sino mga nakatira dun. And, Poverty. That's why.

vashistamped

tokyopantsuit

Medyo kalma na nga ngayon di tulad nung 90's talamak talaga kagaguhan.

Dr-Death_Defying

Please tell us a story

ThisWorldIsAMess

Hahaha. Drugsmariñas, Paliparan represent!

Silent-Fog-4416

Yup, yung ibang part kase ng etivac relocation area.

[deleted]

Yamboist

Taga-cavite here, meme lang yan broskie di yan completely totoo.

pyu2c

Ayan ang totoong Kap's amazing stories....

[deleted]

lord_kupaloidz

Tama naman na bola muna bago droga. Lalo kung downers. Pero kung uppers, baka oks na baliktad. Kasi feeling Lebron daw. 😅

-randomwordgenerator

3anonanonanon

It really only depends on what kind of environment you'll live in. I was raised in Cavite (Cavite City, Imus and Tanza) pero never pa naman may nangyari sa min. Although, may one incident just this year na nanakawan na motor sa loob ng subdivision namin -- in our more than a decade of living dun, ngayon lang may nangyari na ganito. And nangyari lang to kung kelan dumami yung mga residents na galing sa ibang lugar sa labas ng subdivision namin.

[deleted]

Anlaki laki ng cavite lol hahahhaa

rrcccoooo

i am 32 years old born and raised in Cavite. Marami na from different parts of the country. But i i will say na generally safe ang Cavite compared to NCR.

okja099

Same. Been here since 1998. Never experienced na masnatchan or manakawan. I don't know why pero dito sila nag-aalok ng pabahay.

nvm-exe

Agree, and dati rin ako taga-Manila. Specifically in highly populated, slum areas ng QC at Caloocan.

tulaero23

Crimes on cavite started when mayos from different province ng cavite began accepting people from the metro. Usually to get more votes. Daming housing programs na bahay lang pero wala livelihood so in short may bahay sila at wala work so ayun turn to crime. Dasma and trece is an example, mga 20 years ago di naman malala ang crime, pero sa dami ng mga dayo eh lumala ang drug trade at crimes kasi pinabayaan din mga LGU kasi nga nakakakuha sila boto

kesoy

Posted something about this but then decided na hindi worth it lol Everyone really needs to tone down yung exaggeration sa Cavite for this reason. Unless we have some data na pinaka mataas ang crime rate dito, then treat Cavite as you treat the other places.

magmaknuckles

Michipotz

I've lived in Cavite all my life and the only time I'm afraid is when I commute to the Metro. Though it's fascinating, I don't know where this trend of shitting on Cav came from. From how we keep our soap(the trending picture didn't even indicate nor were there any apparent clues if it was from Cavite), to our lack of original Filipino dishes? (Laughable, I grew up eating dishes I've never seen anywhere else exclusively). Maybe because these idiots in the local government keep winning? You have to understand tho, poor people are kept poor, and the uneducated are kept uneducated. And when the election comes, even scrap amounts of money are a godsend for thousands. Easy to dismiss for some of us, but they simply have no choice and they genuinely do not know any better.

jay_malik

Being near MM is a blessing and a curse. I feel that for a long time, we’ve been complacent in demanding progress for our local municipalities/cities because MM is very accessible. It was easy for us to tolerate the lack of infrastructure and poor services in our province, unlike people from farther provinces, where the lack of these things definitely hurt their people more significantly.

Retroswald13

Want original local dishes of Cavite? Go to Cavite City!

Michipotz

For sure. My Lola served Nilagang Baka with this "Sarsa" which was made of eggplant, pumpkin, and vinegar mix as your condiment. It was to die for and I cannot eat Nilagang anything without it. Imagine my surprise when nobody else knew about it lol

Retroswald13

That's one! Then, on Holy Week, try the bacalao with burong mangga as the partner dish. Then there's the bibingkoy, the tamales, the quesillo and Baloy's special ensaymada.

Michipotz

Bacalao is another dish that when I talk about it to my non-cav friends they have no idea what it is lmao

PechayMan

QC and Manila ang pinakamataas ang crime rate sa Luzon. socmed lang gumawa ng ganyang stereotype about cavite. and mostly ng shit tier towns sa cavite yung mga areas na dumami population because of squatters from Manila.

phanieee

Di naman parang south sudan ang cavite. Pero we do get called out for being, for lack of a better term, mid. Shit govt services from bacoor. Big on "we've been here for X # of years". Bahain. Corrupt revillas. Strong boomer 88mer mindset. Its almost a meme how almost everyone from cavite goes to pgg na nakikiride sa budget ng ibang lgu eme.

synthesizer96

I fucking hate the revillas. #AlagangAteLani my ass

somepotatoshit

Batang cavite here. Naiinis ako kasi sarili nilang province parang sinisiraan nila? Ang totoo lang talaga dito is, mostly kahit di naman tiga cavite, dito nila itatapon yung bangkay or what.

Most recent example is yung hazing victim na nakita sa Imus.

HopeNotHype

Cavite is wayyyyyy too big... As a general rule of thumb... pag mas malapit yung city mo sa NCR, the higher the crime rate kasi nga madaming tao..

ToastedSierra

I've lived in different parts of Cavite at different times of my life. I'd say generally safe naman dito no different from other neighboring provinces like Laguna or Batangas.

RaceMuch3757

Imus Bacoor Dasma Basta malapit sa maynila, dyan madalas madaming krimen (madami din addict). The rest ay okay naman. Gen Trias for me ang pinaka-progressive sa lahat sa Cavite, along with Carmona, and Kawit medyo okay okay.

StakeTurtle

I doubt that Gen Tri is the most progressive. Mas delikado pa nga tumawid don as a pedestrian than in Auginaldo Hwy, e.

jay_malik

Is Arnaldo Hwy managed by the local or national? If national, wouldn’t that be the responsibility of the national government (DPWH)?

Retroswald13

Yamboist

Why do you think General Trias is progressive? Curious on your reasons...

RaceMuch3757

May police visibility in strategic places. Standard garbage trucks. Madaming work from epza to gateway.

DragonfruitWhich6396

It's just a stereo-type. I was born and raised in Cavite, and now living in another part of Cavite and the worst that happened to me was a snatching incident. The chance that you'll have crimes committed to you in Cavite is just the same anywhere if you are not careful or street smart enough. If you are in a gated-community, lower chance it is, if you are in a poor area then it may be higher, just like anywhere in Manila.

BulldogJeopardy

theres a reason why puro cavite ang lumalabas sa news lol im sure if you look hard enough, isa yung cavite sa pinaka mataas ang crime rate. isang example na nga yung na snatchan ka eh

captainbarbell

alwyn_42

alone-forevs

This.

budoyhuehue

True, raised in Pampanga and never ako na snatch-an, holdup, or anything. Lived in Baguio and once lang nanakawan. Lived in Manila and never nanakawan since around Makati CBD ako nakatira dati. I think this is the reason sa mataas na crime rate sa Cavite relative to other places.

[deleted]

budoyhuehue

They are usually hush about it. Madami nangyayari sa mga far flung areas like Arayat. Usually hindi na nababalita. Deaths are usually related sa sugal, nakawan, mga Huk/NPA, or mga away sa lupa. Pero yes, hindi ganon kadalas and mas mild compared to other places na developed or developing. Steady lang kasi growth ng Pampanga and nakakasabay naman more or less yung mga citizens. Balanced pa sa ngayon ang Pampanga in terms of opportunities and peaceful environment. There's Angeles and CSFP for better opportunities and there are surrounding municipalities for peaceful environment/community na usually just a jeepney away from Angeles/CSFP.

CurieMurry

may hukbalahap pa rin ba?

uunkwn

Huk means Hukbo, Hukbalahap (Hukbong Bayan Laban sa Happn), HMB (Hukbong mapagpapalaya sa Bayan) yung sumunod aftee ng Hapon. That's a different group.

dnlthursday

Long disbanded

budoyhuehue

As a 'formal' organization, wala na. Pero the oldies still have their own small pockets of influence and usually magkakakilala pa rin sila. More of a kumpare kumpare na lang. However, there are still those who exert their influence in a wrong way. Just take everything I said with a grain of salt. Wala ako masyado direct interaction sa mga kagaya nila and I usually just keep things to myself.

n0tbea

Sameee been living here in Pampanga for less than 5 years, in Mabalacat and Angeles. Okay naman mainit lang talaga XD I stayed for my mental health. Haha

MarkedF0rDeath

I'm at Mabalacat as well. What I can say is ang sarap dito pag ber months huehue lalo na pag late nov-to late feb grabe tangaling tapat nakajacket kami. Then again, medyo spacious yung bahay namin. Actually, forget medyo. Spacious talaga siya tas wala pa kami gaano kapitbahay. Nung holiday season ng 2022 we were experiencing 19-21 °C every night. Ang sarap sa feeling

XianGallery

MarkedF0rDeath

Been living in Pampanga since 2021. Parang wala namang ganito? I'm always wandering about in Mabalacat-Angeles-Clark, minsan Magalang, but mostly Mabalacat. Wala naman. Matitino mga tao. Nanay ko dito nakahanap ng totong kaibigan. Nagpagawa kami ng bahay kaya kami andito actually. Wala naman na badtrip sa amin.

Monolith_12

My old friend just got snatched yesterday night. 2 guy, held at gunpoint. Angeles yun, one of the shittiest cities with shitty police. Meron din dito samin. Held at gunpoint din.

budoyhuehue

Depende talaga sa lugar and circumstances. Snatching is different from the one we saw here in this sub. Shooting and killing a government officer in broad daylight is a far worse place to live in/near than living in a place where snatching/holdup is sort of common. Organized crime syndicates are different and far worse from petty thieves. You will always have petty thieves somewhere in a community, but an organized crime group killing in broad daylight is rare for a supposed peaceful and developing community. Delikado talaga sa Angeles lalo na sa mga di matatao at madilim na lugar but those crimes are limited to just snatching/holdup and other 'minor' cases. Guess I can say thats the case in most cities. But yeah, my point above.

kevinz99

Gagi nagulat siguro siya sabi nya nalang "lamat" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA One and only time yun. I was in one of Cebu's universities na puro rugged tsaka parang hard-nosed people nagaaral.

budoyhuehue

You have a point. Kaya tsinelas/shorts/tshirt gaming lang ako lagi whenever lalabas ako magisa.

Munreo28

Dress like a snatcher para di ka masnatchan. 😈😈😈

YohohohoShorororo

Hahahaha. Haha

Safe_Hearing4676

Correct. Born and raised in Parañaque, never encountered any traumatic incident in my entire life. Was assigned in Cavite as a medrep before and my god, lots of instances where I was catcalled, nahipuan sa bus, at di nakakatulog dahil yung katabi ko sa apartment sinasabi sa landlady namin na trip ako at tuwing dumadaan ako, andami nilang mga lalaki na nagiinuman at sinisitsitan ako, I won’t sleep everytime they have sessions like that. Thankfully walang nangyare sa akin but sa katabing lugar lagi may raid at news na patayan tanginang lugar yan. Wont even invest a penny living there.

deelight01

Unlikely-Canary-8827

"the worst than happened to me is snatching incident" - haha as if it should be normalized

wantsomefacts

>theres a reason why puro cavite ang lumalabas sa news Because snatching, bikenapping and other small petty crimes ALMOST do not appear in the news. Most news that involves crime in Cavite are drugs although its not good but I never experienced/see/hear here in cavite where a drug addict suddenly stabs someone for no reason.

[deleted]

Yun yung operative phrase. "if you look hard enough". I'd find things in other places too if "I looked hard enough".

3AlbertWhiskers

True was just passing by cavite at nag stop over lang ng sandali at wilcon beside 7/11 dasmarinas, pag labas namin deflated na ang isang tire namin. Then we found out sa mga tambay na may mga grupo ng mga bata that went near our vehicle then ran after a hissing sound. Buti nalang may spare kami.

Physical_Rock2797

DragonfruitWhich6396

I could argue the same with Muntinlupa, Las Piñas, Tondo, etc.

Lost-Tako

Interned at Las Pinas Station about 5 years ago, and as of back then, cops there told me about Las Pinas being one of the better assignments in the NCR. "Tahimik, wala masyado violent crimes, at isang pamilya lang nakaupo" were the reasons. Dk if it applies now, but a few months after, interned at SOCO-Cavite, and things were very different.

autogynephilic

Ayun puro traffic.

alwyn_42

>Las Piñas Depende rin sa area. I've been living in Las Pinas for 30+ years, and kumpara sa ibang lugar mas mababa crime rate dito.

MoronicPlayer

This is true for LP. I lived in LP since I was very young until 2014 and I lived in two poor / poorly managed area ng LP *(Talon 5 & Talon 1 boundary ng Bacoor cavite)* and mala-tondo baseco compound yung lugar habang tumatagal.

budzweiser

That’s just so weird to say..

jmdsegis

True. It's just a stereotype Taga Cavite din ako, dito na ako lumake. Wala namang krimen dito.

SAPBongGo

Hahaha putangina. Ipagpasa-Diyos na lang natin sya.

TheXerebro

Pffft HAHAHAH. Got me in the first half tbh

nyx1047

Clearly not true, based on statistics, Cavite is highest among the CALABARZON Provinces https://imgur.com/a/iiQ1Hvf

bakokok

What?! You used statistics that confirms how a lot of people see Cavite? You’re absurd! /s

carlsbergt

Obviously not true since 3 people from Cavite have denied it! /s Andami daming random and crimes posted on SocMed of CCTV captures from Cavite. Now tell me bakit di madami ang posts na ganyan sa Makati, Mandaluyong etc where there are probably more Streetcams/square meter.

Silvainxyts

Dude, if you divide the total index crime to the number of people in each provinces, Cavite actually is only second to the lowest. While Rizal leads with Laguna closely behind.

nyx1047

I'm pointing out the number of crimes not crimes per capita.

ggmashowshie

It's fucking funny how you think you being a victim of a snatching incident once further proves your point.

MsKittyKat94

This is true. I was born and raised in Cavite too, went to college and worked in Metro Manila for a decade and went back to my hometown about 6 years ago. My Nokia 3310 got pickpocketed inside a jeepney when I was in high school but that’s it. I’ve witnessed more crimes in Manila -pickpockets, budol budol, snatchers, laslas bag, exhibitionists, and predators copping a feel in public.

457243097285

Stereotypes are always based on observable reality. I mean, my relatives who live in Etivac got their house broken into. The guy who broke in was a serial rapist, too. Do bear in mind that the piece of shit wasn't from Cavite, though.

pobautista

"Redditor gets snatched one time" = "high crime rate is just a stereotype" Yes, "isolated incident" lang yan. /s >you'll have crime committed to you... if you are not careful or street smart enough This is not victim blaming, it's not.

visualmagnitude

Mahirap na assumption ito. Napaka anecdotal. Just because it's not happening to you does not mean there is no high crime rate in your area. If there's smoke, there's probably fire.

[deleted]

Same. Manila is way worse if I'm being honest. Recto is so sketchy at night 😂

457243097285

Of course it's worse. It's Manila. Half the population here, shouldn't be here.

Spiritual-Record-69

Alternative_Bet5861

wantsomefacts

OP, is believing everything in the internet lol. I recommend that OP should not use tiktok 🤣🤣

magmaknuckles

ngl a lot of ppl here in r/ph thinks cavite is like a warzone or something lol

Dragnier84

A lot of people really have overblown opinions especially if they don't live there. * Cavite = warzone * Mindanao = Somalia * Baguio = north pole * Dolomite Beach = Maldives Lol.

magmaknuckles

yung isang post regarding sa nabaril na enforcer, yung mga top comments is about "Etivac" "Cavite = Florida, Texas", I'm not from cavite pero napacringe ako sa mga comments na yun, like go outside kids

StandardTry846

Can't compare cavite to those places as their gun crime is one of the highest that has ever been in the US. Tho there really is a lot of stereotypes regarding cavite, what I can is there are a lot of places that are very safe and Cavite is trying it's best to lower the crime rate, been seeing a lot of police cars being dispatched every night specially in high crime rate areas. I live in NAIC and it's very safe here, so far no shoot outs, no snatching, and no holdups has happened in my 2 years of stay here.

thebreakfastbuffet

Natawa na lang din ako dun. Try nila sa Tondo

PataponRA

May discussion din not sure how long ago dito sa sub and people from Tondo said it's actually been pretty peaceful there compared to Cavite.

Requiemaur

Western Mindanao* even though they don't live there

[deleted]

>The chance that you'll have crimes committed to you in Cavite is just the same anywhere if you are not careful or street smart enough. Statistics says otherwise. There are cities that are forgiving and there are cities that you just have to be extra careful.

Independent_Thing225

Tama stereotype lang talaga to. 😂

jirocursed26

uncultured_swine2099

I lived in Cavite for 5 years. Just had situational awareness when I went out, kept my wallet and phone secure, never had a problem.

[deleted]

Bulacan is the same. Hindi lang nababalita palagi. During the tokhang height, I have seen dead bodies na pinagkukumpulan ng mga tao lalo na kapag umaga and maraming magc commute papasok sa work. Then marami ding nagpapatayang mga magkaka mag anak so it's just a matter of media coverage. Everywhere is not safe so my rules in life is always be lowkey and be informed in all kinds of gossip and news so I can plan my life accordingly.

theotherselfff

Totoo to.

I wonder why these are not always on the news. I sometimes think yung mga subdivision developers and local government prohibits news coverage kasi mad discourage bumili ng property mga tao sa Bulacan. And hindi nila mai inflate yung prices ng property because of security/crime issues.

okja099

Just by reading comments I think OP alam mo na sagot.

mitchie25

From Cavite here. We were originally from QC then we transferred here sa Cavite about 13yrs ago. Walang pinagkaiba. Lahat ng lugar delikado. May crimes and of course, criminals. Cavite lang is known to have “matatapang” na tao because of ✨history✨ diba like, the 13 martyrs ng Gentri (edit: Trece Martires, I mean), si Aguinaldo ng Kawit, and marami pang iba. Sa mga nagsasabing, “increasing crime rates in Cavite” at “Cavite, the most dangerous place in the country”, CAN YOU GUYS SHOW US ANY PROOF, THAT YOUR CLAIMS ARE STATISTICALLY TRUE?? Show us numbers. After all, what’s important is how you treat the people around you and how you build connections with them. Be good people to attract the good ones. Bad people are everywhere, crimes and accidents are everywhere.

mitchie25

But I must admit, the only place to avoid in Cavite is Bacoor. Poor road maintenance, endless traffic, extremely corrupt local government, political dynasty, budots.

d_isolationist

>the only place to avoid in Cavite is Bacoor Mga taga-Imus/Dasma/Gen Tri/Trece/Tagaytay na madalas nagcocommute: 😐

notsoshytype

More like: the only place to avoid in Cavite is Aguinaldo highway.

pyu2c

Every week may road rehab.

hrt_lxx

Oooh Bahacoor. Pls dont forget yung baha

hermitina

there’s the molino side bacoor that is not as matraffic nor is bahain. dito nga madaming mahal na subdivisions e. ang luwang ng bacoor blvd hindi pa ganun kadense

PataponRA

Someone already commented actual stats https://imgur.io/a/iiQ1Hvf

Szechuansauce19

My aunt, who is a former cop and worked for some law enforcement agencies, told me “nasa Cavite lahat.” And she meant that nandyan ang mga drug lords/addicts/pushers, mamamatay tao, and mga kriminal. It’s not to demoralize a certain place. Sure minsan exaggerated pero those are really just based on people’s experiences. Regarding your last 3 sentences, in an ideal world, that is the case. But in reality, hindi ganun. Hindi to black and white, and there are many gray areas. Being good does not always mean you won’t attract evil.

jay_malik

The 13 martyrs weren’t all from Gen Tri. Some even came from outside the province.

badass4102

>Cavite lang is known to have “matatapang” na tao I find it funny every town I've been to, people say they're tough, matapang, dangerous. I was in Isabela and this one townsman said their town is dangerous. I was in Amadeo, Cavite, they were like, "Taga Amadeo Ako" like they're from the hood. My peeps from Imus, Cavite say they all have guns and fighters. My friends in Pandacan say they're tough there.

IQPrerequisite_

AssAssassin98

Since ang questions is about Cavite, I am living near Trece Martires City, Cavite (gated community). I like that it still has that small town, probinsya vibe and people still have that provincial kindness. There are nice local places that actually make me miss MM less (interesting new cafes, local restaurants, may modern gym, etc.). May SM din at Starbucks (if that floats your boat). Heck, there's even an SMDC condo here. Altho may domestic violence na nabalita sa news, parang wala ako nababalitaan around petty crime or any organised criminal activities. I don't have hesitation using my phone or carrying a big amount of cash whilst I am outside. Not to say there aren't any crimes here or that you shouldn't practice situational awareness, but compared to Metro Manila, I am less paranoid here.

Aggravating_Fly_8778

We left Cavite because of this specific reason. I was born in Dasma but my parents are working in Manila. And ito daw area around paliparan sobrang daming crimes daw dyan. Ayun we bought a house sa Manila nalang, mas malapit pa sa work. Pero I think depende padin.

Cool_Juls

may narinig nadin akong kwento na madami daw npa jan sa paliparan eh

moonmoon0211

drug addicts na backed ng revillas

FrostyHat0

I say bring on the stereotype! Masyado nang madaming tao sa Cavite so consider din kayo ng ibang lugar 🤣 I live in the upper mountainous areas of Cavite for 25 years and bilang na bilang lang ang crimes dito, basta kahit saang lugar naman kailangan mo lang naman makisama. Cavite is too big to generalize as Florida ng Pinas. Siguro Bacoor, Imus, Dasma and the coastal areas (Kawit, Noveleta, Tanza, Rosario) yan lang talaga masyado nang urbanized. Madaming drug related crime dyan and mga relocation sites. If you consider Cavite then choose the upper mountainous areas (in order of remote-ness) like Tagaytay, Silang, Alfonso, Amadeo, Indang, Magallanes, Bailen. Madami ding infrastructure improvements like CALAX, East-West lateral road, bypass roads. Best if you have a car though, if not you can choose developments along major highways.

trix8703

Asleep-Wafer7789

From tanza kami ng mga classmate ko pero school is sa rosario everyday since nung f2f pagbyahe kami sa jeep may ambulance or mga pulis na parang may hinahabol minsan may aksidente parang GTA nga daw dito ahhahaa

afrojoe824

Did you really just compare Cavite to Texas and Florida? Wtf

kwentongkalye

Yep the ignorance of this sub sometimes. Parang youtube or fb comments lang. Don't worry no matter what alternative reality they wish they want to live in mas maganda parin buhay ng Pinoy naka tira sa Texas or Florida. Lols

MickeyDMahome

Parang mga bata eh, minsan napapagod na ako sa sub na ‘to kasi yung mga users sobrang babaw at limitado lang ang world view.

Room_4_rent

mkjf

not just in cavite, back in 2002-2006 i was a victim of holdap thrice in u-belt, currently working in makati i was a victim of riding in tandem cellphone snatch last november 2022, got my bag stolen inside SB last 2018, holdap near pasong tamo summer of 2019

rikku9

Born and raised in Cavite at never pa ko naka experience ng kahit anong crime. Idk sa iba pero i feel safer here compared sa NCR.

SuperfujiMaster

Cavite in the 70's:95% locals, 5% dayo Cavite now: 95% dayo (20% of it are migrants and 80% are relocated sqammies), 5% locals.

Sweaty-Union-1868

Saka control your emotions. Wag pumatol sa away.

Expensive-Lime-6158

heavyarmszero

It's no different than in other areas of Metro Manila though. If mapapansin mo, karamihan naman ng crimes are committed in the vicinity of squatters area. Cavite has more squatters area kasi halos lahat ng nirerelocate na squatters sa Metro Manila doon nilalagay, kaya mas marmaing reported crimes dun. Pero in middle class areas and neighborhood crime isnt really that high, except na lang pag political-related crimes.

Total_District9338

puro adik kasi dyan. anabu tone tonelada shabu ginagawa dyan.

Vegetable-Yam8730

I lived in cavite for like 6 years and was planning to go back this year, worst thing that happened to me is bullying, I am the type who make night walks but I haven't gotten attacked by anyone too

[deleted]

how about sa Tanza guys, ok nmn don noh? hahahaha

Inevitable_Case_7882

Oks naman tanza. Traffic lang

Vndrew12

Yup goods naman here.

Deobulakenyo

Yung crimes pwede maiwasan.

Traditional-Yak420

It will be much better if someone can post here a reliable link where we can see the crime rate data of all the areas in the Philippines

Puzzleheaded_Top255

Tapos ninakaw yung Rolex niya sa scene of the accident yata. Yung nakakuha isang jeepney driver.

It's just a matter of time kung saan ang magviviral o mababalita on national television.

wowmegatonbomb

I've lived in Cavite my whole life and it is safe as fuck. Only crimes I hear ay targeted like agawan sa lupa but even then, di siya uso. I don't live anywhere near Manila tho.

Peep_Sausage

[deleted]

Kakapanuod ko lang ng binaril na enforcer sa Tanza, Cavite just a couple of posts down this sub. Is this a coincidence, probably yes. Will this cloud my judgement of the place, probably yes.

Psychosmores

So far okay naman ako dito compare nung nasa Muntinlupa kami. And mukhang ok naman dito samin kahit may ibang reklamo ng pagnanakaw or akyat bahay ganon pero aside dun hindi naman magulo sa lugar namin.

AsianRockets

Stereotype :( Lumaki ako sa Manila and we moved in here sa Cavite and so far sa 4 years na nandito kami, I can say tahimik talaga, about crimes siguro nakawan lang yung na experience ko, Mas unsafe parin talaga sa Manila

God-of_all-Gods

May iilan nalang.

jayzhelle001

Lived in Cavite since 1992. Sa subdivision kami, pero twice pinasok ng magnanakaw in the early 2000s. Madali kasi alisin yung jalousy window. Yung magnanakaw was from the outside. Pero that was it. Wala nang nangyari after. I think depends din talaga ito. I still feel safer here in Cavite than anywhere else. I had officemates in Makati na nasnatchan ng bag while walking sa Gallardo St (di kami nakasigaw agad dahil sa gulat) and isa natutukan ng baril sa may Benevidez St. So for me, sometimes it's not the location. Yun lang :)

notsoshytype

iamanionic

I'm from Cavite. Depende pa rin talaga sa lugar. More or less pareho ng sa Metro Manila. Don't feel bad for having bought a house in GenTri, though. It's not better than NCR, so may weight pa rin talaga yung mga naririnig mo, but it's not worse, either.

DyosaMaldita

Tahimik naman sa Gen. Tri. ☺️

RunPuzzleheaded1941

Taga gentri din ako, pero born and raised in tanza cavite.

iagreebrooo

Lately? Matagal na.

lolpan

Definitely a stereotype. Might have been true around 16-20 years ago with the Bautista’s being largely prominent in the area. But not much so nowadays

ThirdWorldJoe

assdonuts

Born and raised in Bacoor and moved to Gen. Trias. It's not that all bad, it's just overblown for comedic effect and honestly, it's fucking hilarious.

nolimetanginaa

most probably stereotypes and memes lang siya. i lived here in cavite for 15 years and never pa naman kami nasnatchan or nainvolve sa kahit anong gulo/krimen. if you’re living in a gated subdivision naman, malabo mangyari yan and mostly sa mga makikitid na daan or lower end places (as usual) yung mga ganyang incidents. and for me, mas safe ang cavite than manila na sobrang dami talagang snatchers.

providence25

verbosity

"Anong masasabi niyo d2?" = Tucker Carlson's "I'm just asking questions" :P

Low_Delay2835

Crime always and is everywhere in the philippines and to compare mo nmn MM to other places thats kinda wild. Pero truth be told mga memers lng yan eto kasi new trend ngayon na etivac daw is ganun ganyan pero pag tinignan mo nmn in a wider view almost the same nman in most region d2 sa atin sa pinas.

chaetattsarethebest

first incident ko is nasnatchan ako sa Nueno Imus Cavite in front of tricycle na sinasakyan ko, well I gave them free access din kasi kaya somehow it's my fault pero grabeng experience yon after nun nadala na ko mag cellphone sa open spaces like trikes

decadentrebel

Most of my friends and coworkers live in Cavite, either in Imus, Bacoor, or the many new affordable subdivisions located in the inner outskirts. Okay naman sila. But it's not stopping me from making Cavite jokes, lmao. They're just low-hanging fruit because it seems like the province is always on the news, often due to some heinous crime.

JackSpicey23

d_isolationist

Living in Cavite for nearly 30 years. Kung nasa subdivision/gated community ka nakatira, mababa yung chance na mabibiktima ka (and even then ingat pa rin). But di naman warzone or dystopia as most non-Caviteño people claim. I'd argue na kahit saan ka tumira, kung di ka maingat, you'll be more susceptible to crime. And yung trapik if sa Metro Manila ka nag-aaral/nagtatrabaho.

budoyhuehue

May crime naman everywhere. Just make sure na yung surroundings niyo at mga lagi niyong pinupuntahan ay safe. You should've gone somewhere north ng Manila like Bulacan or Pampanga. Relatively safer. As long as wala ka binabangga at ginagawang mali, safe ka.

marzizram

I lived in Tondo for a few years dahil si esmi taga dun sila malapit sa Don Bosco.

YeiYujin

Nakatira ako sa Dasmariñas Cavite for 24 yrs na , ang pinaka issue lang talaga is mayroong mga barangay na hot spot for drugs, so far ayan yung issue. maganda sa dasmariñas yung progressive development neto na tuloy tuloy, masasabi mo na isa sa maayos na bayan sa cavite. pero if ever mas prefer ko ang Silang , Cavite, good weather, malapit sa tagaytay , may part na mapupuno pa den saka feel ko yung balanced city and probinsya life.

sevg1007

We recently bought a house here, too. Renting for about a decade. Husband ko naman dito na since teen years nya. Never pa sya na hold up, or snatch dito. Sa Las Pinas nastachan sya during his younger years, though. Honestly, kahit ako rin nga nawoworry sa mga nababasa ko dito about Cavite, pero personally, never ko naman naexperience. And I feel safer here kaysa sa Manila. Born and raised ako sa Manila and have witnessed holdup right infront of our house duon. Na snatchan na rin ako. And have classmates na natutukan ng baril. So feeling ko stereotype lang talaga.

tichondriusniyom

They don't fuck around masyado dahil pagtutulungan ka if kupal ka. In general, you're really not safe anywhere. Ang maganda lang sa set-up nang maraming community sa Cavite is yung mga subdivisions nila, mostly ay 1 way in, 1 way out, kapag dayo ka, maraming marites, ang mga namumuno sa barangay mga matatagal na lahat sa lugar, magkakapamilya, kaya it'll be hard to fuck around. I've been around from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, pero sa Cavite lang ako nakakapaglasing. Something I don't and won't do sa ibang lugar kung papipiliin ako.

ubermensch02

Cavite has the highest population among provinces. Look at the crime rate per thousands of people at hindi facebook posts.

eyeyeyla

I promise its just a stereotype lol. For some reason mas may ingay lang kapag sa cavite nangyari yung crimes. Places like Carmona (iirc they have the cleanest air in PH), Indang, Silang, are great places tbh. I used to frequently travel around these areas because of school and my experiences there were great.

Interesting-Tough671

dont worry you will like cavite

HistorianJealous6817
