Yung Gamit ng Bata and yung Pre-natal sobrang layo sa totoong presyo. Di pa yan OA 😭💀

gabagool13

Di mo masasabi if meron mangyaring emergency while delivery so dagdag gastos.

BYODhtml

True!

Lying-in ang pinakamahal nilang magagastos. At sila pa ang may guts to have many children and some becoming mothers in their teenage years, as if they bear children like dogs and cats.

nrmnfckngrckwll_00

Di rin kasi sila nagwowory since may mga nalalapitan sila kapag nagkaproblema sa hospital or panganganak. Pede sila lumapit sa local government or officials for donation which is good pero naabuso since anak naman sila ng anak. Di pa magpapaligate mga yan hanngang di nagkakaanak marami. I know someone personally na hirap na sa buhay pero inantay pa na magkaron ng pangpitong anak bago nagpa-ligate. Kulang talaga sa family planning and safe sex education.

Mammoth_Flamingo2410

Hay.

hermitina

alam mo swerte namin sa baby super patay gutom ginagawang dede ung rota! natatawa nga ung pedia kasi kala nya mahihirapan sya. uunti untiin nya sana kaso sinipsip na lang ni baby parang wala lang haha

that_thot_gamer

ako nga libre bakuna lang tapos yung baby 50k lmao

ZetaAbsoluteZero

I have 2 kids and both of them got all the vaccines they need for free sa brgy health center 😊💕

louderthanbxmbs

This! If wala sa Brgy health center punta sa city health office or municipal health office at dun magtanong.

Typical-Run-8442

I live few steps frm baranggay hall/ bhert office. Pero may malapit din na riles. Grabe one time sinamahan ko ang friendship ko same baranggay kami para mgpa vaccine. Since maaga pa lista muna babalik kami kasi malapit lng naman. Sabay walk out hahahaha

AdditionInteresting2

This needs to be known by more people. At least in my city, we take great care in our cold chain storage for our health centers vaccines and want to inject more children for free...

umiiiiiiiiiiii

hindi po kumpleto ang vaccine sa health center, some vaccines like those for rotavirus need sa private

fuguehobbies

Unfortunately Rotavirus vaccine is recommended lang, and not covered sa EPI.

hermitina

sa lgu namin complete. tinatry pa nga kami iconvince nung nagiikot na wag na sa private kumuha. in fact inischedule na nya kami ng rota non, kaso nauna ung sa private… saka maarte pedia namin humahands off pag d sa kanya nagpaturok so sige fine inisip ko afford naman namin. but best believe pag nagkababy kami next don n kami sa center kasi free

FeistyPlainJane

Majority of the centers have what they deem essential but the fact is kulang talaga. May mga vaccines na required na by private pediatricians dahil nagiging prevalent na ang mga cases yet the centers still do not have them.

BYODhtml

chewyberries

True. Yang 20k, stroller lang mabibili. Kulang pa. You still have big-ticket items like crib, carseat (not applicable to all), playpen, sterilizer, etc. For pre-natal expenses, 25k siguro if sa public health centers. Pero if private, half lang siguro yan ng gastos sa check-up including lab and other tests. It goes significantly up pa if emergency CS. Definitely more than double that amount. So sobrang conservative na yang estimate na yan. Kaya pag hindi pa handa mag-anak financially, wag muna. Spare yourself and the child a difficult life.

BizzaroMatthews

Qwerty6789X

thats understatement. yung new 1month old baby ko CS pinanganak is atleast 150K pesos.

giulinev_1221

AFAIK di covered ng HMO ang outpatient meds, even if not pregnancy related.

Qwerty6789X

depende po yata sa coverage ng healthcard nyo if covered yung prenatal related if dependent si mommy. saking kasi walang healthcard so at our own expense yung bloodtesting device & kits (needles etc etc) at insulin monthly

galynnxy

ohhh it depends din talaga pero shems need talaga mag save more MORE if ever one's planning na magka-family dahil sa possible scenarios like this jusq 🫠

Qwerty6789X

yep yung CS delivery wag naman sana pero mas maganda paghandaan kasi kahit normal delivery kapag nag kacomplication si baby pede maging CS anytime for safety

titomoods

kevinz99

pota ang bobo ko don i work in estimation and nag taka ko anong ipapagawa sa ibang tao bakit may labor hahaha

Impossible-Past4795

Taena ginawang construction yung baby hahahaha

Lumpy-Baseball-8848

shuttacca napatawa ko nang di oras hahahah

omniverseee

napagod din po anakan yung asawa niyo

SevereButterscotch46

budoyhuehue

baka papa subcontract yung panganganak 🤣

jacoblesterandres

Ano yan, may foreman?

nyanmunchkins

Sakin lang ha, kahit gaano kalaki budget sa first birthday sure akong di Naman Yung baby mag eenjoy diyan- otits na mahilig makikaen

kuyanyan

TBF, the first birthday is rarely for the child. Pang-socialize talaga yan ng parents na halos hindi makatulog for almost a year taking care of their child, and to celebrate their own milestone kasi di naman birong magpalaki ng bata.

EmvyPH

This, it really is for the parents. My wife and I got married during covid, only around 30 people can attend. We had a pretty decent 1st birthday since it doubled as a reception for our friends and families. 1st few birthday's will mostly be for parents, knowing that you may want to spend more or spend less, just don't make the excuse na para naman yun sa baby.

BeenBees1047

1st, 7th and 18th yung pinaka pinaghahandaang birthday.

Shinobi_Saizo

Hahahaha

camonboy2

Yung bakuna 50k talaga aabutin?

titomoods

Pwede umabot. If my memory serves me right, normal price ng vax nasa 5k, mura na yung 3.5k, meron pa nga abot ng 7k-8k. Pag newborn, yung first few mos, almost monthly nasa pedia para magpacheckup kasama na yung vax

03thisishard03

So true. I think 50k is a safe amount na. Mag 3 years old na sya at so far hindi sakitin. May annual flu shots pa pala just to be safe. Around 1.5k sya.

sitah

This is so crazy to me grabe ang mahal mabuhay. I grew up in the province and our house was right next to the barangay hall so libre lahat ng bakuna ko nung baby ako. They had enough shots for everyone that time or kung limited naman, una sa pila nanay ko.

cyber_owl9427

sometimes po hindi complete yung vax sa local healthcare kaya mga ibang parents nagsheshed na lang ng malaki para macomplete yung bakuna ng bata or paminsan din po both working yung parents kaya walang time para pumila. yan po ang case sa parents ko. both are working and cannot afford a day off since madaming gastusin. tatay ko would sacrifice his lunch break para maipabakuna kame dati. they earns just enough to pay naman pero not enough na may wiggle room yung finances.

panget-at-da-discord

Penta something 6k plus na 2-3 shots ata. At least 10 vaccine minimum 3k

PotterPillar

Mas marami pa sila for sure.

imabebear

anamazingredditor

Sabay yung iba: "hoy! mag anak naman kayo!"

ImeanYouknowright

Akala mo may pang-ambag sa gatas eh no! lol

Cheese_Grater101

yssnelf_plant

Probably mga peeps na nadelulu sa concept ng "love will keep us alive"

Impossible-Past4795

Sino niloko nila?

No_Sense_3226

Mura pa yan OP! My sister gave birth sa Cardinal, normal spontaneous delivery and it costs P200k! Idk lang sa CS.

danez121

Same, my wife recently had a scheduled (CS) last April 8 sa St Lukes, thought the doc will charge us a higher PF this time but luckily it was the same with our 1st child. 100k thats for the OB, anesthesiologist charged us 50k and pedia 12k.Hospital charges are mostly the use of OR equipments which cost us 70k already deducted are the room accomodation(14.5k 3 days), philhealth around 14k for the wife and 3k for the baby. Also they have freebies like the Joie Stroller with a detachable carseat worth 13k and a basket of baby amenities. Also had a celebratory 3 course steak meal as well! Total cost is around 235k!

CLuigiDC

chanchan05

Most hospitals you can pay straight to the hospital and they will be the ones to actually pay the doctor. So if the hospital accepts credit card that's also doable.

danez121

Credit card gamit ko 🤣 sakto may promo nga bpi card if you spend 200k may 6k egc so naabot ko na un spend lol

Leading_Sector_875

Cardinal ako, scheduled repeat CS. 150K yung CS package. Plus other expenses mga 180k total bill.

sgtpeppy25

Sana pala Cardinal nalang din kami. Yung normal package kay TMC nasa 150k kaso hindi kinaya ni wife, na forfeit then CS na umabot 320K, including screening ni baby.

SheSaidSo_

Is cardinal a private place? I had an induced delivery sa public hospital and paid zero.

No_Sense_3226

Yes po. Cardinal Santos sa Greenhills. Mahal po talaga sa kanila but they deliver quality healthcare.

Frosty-Fact7682

You should try Succor in Sampaloc. I've read good reviews on them too. They have affordable maternity package. But don't expect too much on their facilities since it's cheaper lang. But they do have good doctors. Super mahal sa other private hospitals lalo St. Luke's Hospital. :'(

mmclementine

I even see babies get born at a cost of 1M if complicated cases. and some filipinos have the nerve to encourage having babies pa when hindi pa financially stable

BizzaroMatthews

Most likely premie + private hospital + OB na specialist + NICU expenses yan. May cases pa nga na professional fee pa lang yan ni OB, and yung total expenses umabot 5M na.. And that’s just for 1 baby. Eh kaso twins.. 😔

03thisishard03

SaiyajinRose11

Some babies 1M a month kapag unexpected na preterm and other emergencies.

Dear_Procedure3480

Filipinos that have the nerve to encourage having babies had their babies born in maternity clinics or at home with midwife, no vaccines, used washable "Lampin", borrowed money from friends then never pay them, or outright starved their babies with washed rice milk.

Ok-Following-1008

Even more I was a Premature cs baby. Long long way back.

chxxgsh

liit ng 80k for CS kahit may Philhealth

BizzaroMatthews

WildHealth

This is in Dumaguete. Prices in the province are way lower...

MissHopiaManiPopcorn

shltBiscuit

Opinion that will revoke your Filipino passport, connection to relatives and circle of friends. Which I fully support. In the end, it will just be a memory in a picture. Only the baby who will not remember any of these had happened. Having a baby nowadays truly takes everything from the couple.

Prior_Intention4

Bongang party? Pero when I attended a party with my baby, i know di nya maalala yun pero sobrang nagenjoy sya kakalakad, kakatawa. Im sure it that fun day has an impact to baby's development. Mahirap iexplain yung feeling as a parent na makita mo anak mo makisocialize, makakita ng mascot, makakita ng madaming balloons. I am in no way saying na gumasta ka ng malaki, a simple day out sa EK or sa Zoo or 15k celebration sa mcdo or jabi is enough for a birthday. Oo di mo yan alala as a baby, but its a bonding experience ng parents na forever etched sa utak ko as a parent.

TritiumXSF

You should have an EF *before* having a baby anyway... ..and stable income, investments, insurance, etc.

galynnxy

ayun, EXACTLY!

Thehappyrestorer

Unpopular opinion: i was telling financialy struggling former students and other folks, na 60 pesos per month lang ang pills na lady versus sa 5-8k na gastos per month sa 1st year ng baby. In short , higit na mas mura ang birth control kesa sa di planado na anak Edit: i also told them that the loss of sleep, fatigue, loss of mental health and trouble is not worth it for unplanned kids. Always, always, have a condom sa bag.

shimmerks

I told my sister the same thing. Use protection. Pauli ulit. She kept joking around na it’s not as pleasurable compared with doing it raw. Ayun nabuntis. Whats annoying is the guy doesnt even have a job and my sister has to provide them everything.

banyaga0679

In a western country, this would have been solved by abortion.

Thehappyrestorer

Yun nga sinasabi ko eh. Ipagpapalit yung sandali na pleasure sa matindi na gastos, abala, lack of sleep at sakit sa ulo

shimmerks

Sabi ko nga magpa vasectomy na si guy since they obviously cannot afford another child. Iniisip pa raw nila if want nila ng baby girl. Waw???

Phoenixforce96

This is what I don't get. Maaachieve pa rin naman Ang orgasm why take risk?

Inevitable_Bee_7495

Dapat advice din yan sa men, mag settle na sila sa less pleasure u get from the condom o kaya dont overestimate withdrawal technique nila. Imbes na gumastos ng ganyan.

Thehappyrestorer

I will welcome the less pleasure kesa sa massive sakit sa ulo at bulsa ng unwanted pregnancy

nomearodcalavera

yung iba kasi tinatakbuhan lang yung nabuntis nila kaya wala talaga balak mag-condom

madocs

Diaper cost onwards are overpriced or optional/subjective to preference

SheSaidSo_

This is true. Maybe yung very branded diapers costs that much. My kid uses EQ and I dont spend 2k.

Karenz09

As long as it does its job well + hindi nagkakarashes ang bata, goods na siya. Hiyang yung 3 kids ko sa EQ so I'm pretty happy with that

mrswhattoknowxx

Kulang pa to for 1 year HAHAHAHAHHAHA ako na nagsasabi. 🤪

Ok_Amphibian_0723

galynnxy

it will be endless... 🫠

mrswhattoknowxx

Exactly 💯

jujubearrrr_

galynnxy

HAHAHHAHAHA sampal ng realidad for sure

Busy-Feature-7541

Totoo naman na super gastos talaga magka-baby. Sguro for baptism and birthday, depende sa parents. The rest are quite accurate. And it's a lifetime commitment. Pero wala akong anak, I have nieces and nephew. Watched them grow and witnessed how expensive kids are. 😆

anonreaderrr

For prenatal check up, it depends kung saan ka magpa check. Some hospitals would only cost 150/check up. For laboratories, there are cheaper options din. So it depends. May cheaper hospitals din to choose from. Like for me, I opted a maternity hospital here in our place since the package is supeeeee cheap. 7k lang and they would tend to all your needs. AS IN NO JOKE. alagang-alaga ka talaga from check up to delivery to postpartum. Sa diaper, better hindi sensitive ang skin ng baby since there are cheaper diapers with nice quality naman like EQ. I would recommend EQ since it can last overnight, nakabili rin kami sa shopee ng 3 boxes of EQ with 2 packs inside (84 diapers in one box) for only 1.3k and good for 2-3 months na yun. Vaccination, may health center naman. For milk, you are lucky if marami kang breastmilk. For baptism, you can do intimate celebration lang. Sa birthday, mas mainam if you celebrate it na mag enjoy yung baby mo. Like for us we rented a whole place with pool and a nice view for only 6k! Budget namin sa food is 6k and 5k for other things like softdrinks, design, etc. My point here is, you can always opt for cheaper options AS LONG AS SAFE ANG BABY MO. It’s okay if you can’t but them expensive things as long as na meet naman ang needs ng baby mo. So it just really depends sa diskarte mo. If you plan on having a baby, I would say do research, ask around. Mas maigi if wais ka. And always know the difference between a NEED and a WANT. Edit: I would also like to remind that every pregnancy is different. If maselan ka mag buntis, then I would highly suggest to seek the best hospital and doctors for you and your baby’s safety.🫶🏻 Another edit: Our baby’s newborn clothes were only “hand-me-downs” from my nephew and niece. We only bought new clothes during my baby’s 3rd month and until now na susuot pa rin nya. Her panglakad clothes are gifted during her baptism and from her lolas. Bumibili kami ng clothes for her but not every month — only if we feel that she needs new ones. It’s actually a good deal.😊🙏🏻

pinkberry1213

Anxious_Product_4716

Actually parang kulang

spongefree

I’m expecting to be downvoted pero parang masarap i-cross post ito sa r/alasjuicy at r/phr4r sa dami ng nababasa kong lumalande iresponsibly..🫢

AlienGhost000

Mas pleasurable daw kasi pag risky 🥵🥵🥵🤮

ExoLeinhart

I don't remember spending that much sa vaccine during the first year. Siguro within two years oo. Pre-Natal seems right: 25k Gamit ng Bata puwede na since kasama diyan yung sterilizer ng bote but the rest if may kapatid na may anak na before or relative/friends, you can bring the cost to less than 10k Labor: depending on the hospital can be less if public hospital na well-kept pero can be as much as 150k if you go private. Diaper only expensive if you keep buying due to either ayaw mag invest in washable diapers or cloth diapers or may allergy talaga yung balat ng bata na keilangan synthetic diaper gamit. Milk is around that price. Budget Binyag and 1st Bday can be way less if di gawin sa function rooms ng mga resto. So if you really find a way: PHP 100,000 - 200,000? My daughter is 4 now and I know we didnt spend that amount nung 1st year.

cmq827

Mura yung CS. If you go for the big private hospitals, mahina 150k.

Loud-Beginning-6231

The baby's needs come first. A pricey baptism and 1st Birthday (both of which they would neither truly enjoy or remember) are not needs. Just my two cents.

galynnxy

yun nga ehh, pwede naman be practical lang without being sobrang nagtitipid 😅

Intelligent-Ad-4546

shltBiscuit

Once na mag ka anak, you're not living for yourself anynmore.

nrmnfckngrckwll_00

Yes. To be practical, what we do is sabay ang binyag and birthday para isang gastos tas konting bisita lang.

ELlunahermosa

You know what, as a first time mommy who just gave birth. This is not OA, this is KULANG! hahahahahahahahahahah

mjlrcr

I gave birth ng normal pero induced + with epidural, 90k+ ang bill namin Sa milk, if kaya magbreastfeed + pump, go do it pero kung hindi, fed is always best pero allot more budget sa milk since hiyangan ang gatas

Charming_Beach4472

Actually mababa pa yan kung dito sa manila manganganak at private hospital

rabbitization

In short, mahal magpalaki ng healthy baby.

Vivid_Platypus_4025

Currently pregnant. Prenatal vitamins pa lang, 1-1.5k per week na, the check ups and diagnostic tests vary, OB’s PF, 2-2.5k every 2 weeks, tests, 1-2k so it's definitely more than 25k for me but that rate is for a private hospital here in MM. Baka doable naman in other places outside the metro.

raju103

bless you and your baby too!

pepay199x

bluebearprince

Breastmilk is best for baby and wallet. Register at your local health center for complete vaccination, all for free. Pipila mo lang.

Substantial_Bag4611

unfortunately some moms cannot produce sufficient breastmilk, minsan mentally taxing din and would be best to just formula feed the baby. on rare cases din, babies can be lactose intolerant and would require an expensive formula alternative to breastmilk.

Frosty-Fact7682

That's true. Specially if you're here in Metro Manila. My doctor in St. Luke's also recommend us to check health center kasi pareho lang naman binibigay. Yung wala lang daw usually is yung sa rotavirus vaccine which is 3,500 per shots iirc.

Danc1ngP0ny

Understated pa nga yan. What more kung my complications pa yun pagbubuntis, panganganak hanggang sa paglaki ng bata. Speaking of, it may look OA to others pero ang ruling ko sa buhay kung gustuhin ko man magka-anak, dapat may at least 1M akong naka-abang. 😅

Count2Ten72

Astronaut-7819

Yung labor expense mura pa yan at yung literal na labor lang yan, iba pa yung bayad sa pag stay sa hospital, minsan di pa magkasama bayad para sa nanay at anak. Yung binyag at birthday, pwedeng mura jan, pero most likely mas mahal din. The rest naman mababa pa yang nasa listahan mo.

urzula69

Kulang pa nga. Ogegyne marami na test now sakin nga inabot 10k 2mos palang ako buntis. Lab check lahat.

BizzaroMatthews

Shout out sa Philhealth na kahit 10+ years ka contributor pero 30k lang yung sinagot nila sa delivery/labor expenses mo na abot ng 500k total 🫠

Mikaelstrom

icred1109

oh my lord... tapos laganap teenage pregnancy sa low-income families ://

Mediocre-Bat-7298

Negative-Driver-5363

not at all OA hahahaha pretty much how it should be. i dont get people who cheap out on their children especially if they have money laying around. Also pag walang money wag ng manganak period

Former-Cloud-802

TheDummyPhilosopher

Even if you reduce most of the “binyag” and “1st birthday” costs because honestly, most kids’ first birthday is just adults drinking and what that’s just pointless, you will still be spending way more than that 1 year approximate total. Pre-natal expenses aren’t cheap. What about travel expenses? Proper nutrition for the mother and the developing baby? Screenings? Milk isn’t that cheap, labor expenses could get complicated, baby’s things could easily double depending on their needs. No it is not OA. Think really hard if you want to have kids. It’s not just financially expensive, it’s emotionally, physically, and mentally taxing, too.

drainedandtired00

Lusog ng baby na yan pag laki

leruh_

Mababa pa po yung labor, pre-natal, gamit ng baby, and vaccinations/checkups. Speaking about rates sa private hospital in Makati.

minia14

We spent around 200k for an emergency c section cause I gave birth at 34 weeks. Separate pa another 200k for baby’s bill naman for NICU stay. 🙃konti lang bawas ng Philhealth. Where we saved naman, I exclusively breastfeed. I really did my research on how to be able to breastfeed. It’s really my goal to do it for at least a year. So that saves on expensive formula! But fed is best! And just recently started introducing elimination communication.. potty training baby now at 5 months so we are using less diapers!

Knight_Destiny

That's kinda accurate except sa binyag part, Baka gusto lang nila magarbo or something.

GinsengTea16

Garrod_Ran

Yung pagpanganak ni misis, may SSS/PhilHealth naman to augment the bills. My wife had been graced with much breastmilk, di kami gumastos sa gatas para sa dalawang anak namin. We were able to have them immunized at the city health center for free. Yung dedication and birthday naman, we kept the celebration to an intimate family affair. Our kids were born in the 2000s and 2010s respectively, so probably there has been a significant difference with how these cost at present.

aisevens

Sabay sabing "Sasagutin n'yo po ba 'to?"

dmitri_razumikhin

Another reason kung bakit di ako mag-aanak ✅

Inevitable_Bee_7495

Salute to our parents. 🫡

olibbbs

Additional 3 boosters pa yung sa anak ko within 2 years, kaya 20k na agad for one type of vaccine pa lang yun.

HonestArrogance

You can remove birthday and baptism. But expect to spend more because the rest are actually very conservative using minimum cost.

scorpionsnow

Mura yan hahahaha nanganak ate ko during pandemic and kalahating milyon binayad sa hospital. Wala pa yung mga ibang expenses.

1968_razorkingx

Napaka-OA ng budget na yan. Pang-Manila ata presyo na yan eh. Complete vaccine ng baby namin, libre, sponsored by the Municipal LGU.

Signal-Session-6637

What is wrong with breastfeeding?

galynnxy

if you mean why some mothers di nila pinipili to? kasi di naman lahat ng mothers capable mag breastmilk, yung iba konti lang nailalabas na gatas

biogesic08

omfgdontpanic

4 months baby: Prenatal ~900 per check up once a month ( or hmo) for 5 - 6 month then 2x a month 7-8 then weekly na +++ meds mga pampakapit, vitamins, calcium, malunggay tapos mother vaccine kasama si baby around ~3000 Labor 60k - 250k Emergency CS si wife nagkasepsis si baby (sa tingin ko super common nito ngayon sa mga paanakan) 1 week nicu antibiotic 250k bill with philhealth na Si baby milk lang gastos breastmilk + formula si baby kasi working mom and medyo mahina milk di nakakapag stock pero healthy. ~2100x2 si baby per month Sa NB size 240pcs 2k Medium 180 ~2k Wipes Mustela set ~5k yata pero dami talaga nito di naman mauubos agad as in mga 1yr Then mga gamit ni baby mga damit, crib depende na sa pampadali ng buhay. -Electric pump -crib -sterilizer -stroller Vaccine around 70k talaga until mga 2yrs old. After ng gastos andun pa yung pagod mo mag alaga... Pero dont get me wrong. Im so happy with my baby boy. Super worth it for me.

ImeanYouknowright

Medyo uso na ngayon yung sabay na birthday at baptismal so let’s say instead of 100K, 60K nalang. Tipid sa gatas kung magbebreastfeed si mommy, so alisin mo narin yung 5K/mo and honestly kulang yang 5K/mo mo sa gatas 🤣. Mura na yung sa labor, I was normal and I spent around 120K sa VRP Mandaluyong.

methman3000

maliit pa yan

immovablemonk

140k ung cs labor namin eh 5k per month din ung diaper namin yung checkups lam ko mas mahal jan kasi per doctor visit may bayad magiging mas frequent visit s doctor pag malapit na manganak the rest is close sa actual gastos ko

magosyourface

Libre vaccination sa brgy health centers, and yung nasa hospitals would take around 600-1000 per vaxx depende anong required ni baby na wala sa brgy health centers. Yung CS medyo mababa sa 80k, 110k yung nabayaran ko last 2020 with philhealth na. Binyag and birthday are both subjective. The rest medyo reasonable naman. Yung mga gamit namin, hand overs from friends and things like crib.

NaiveExplanation2037

i do think na it's better to be OA when it comes to having a child. Mas okay na yung sobra kesa kulang. Plus, this post needs to be published more, kala ata ng mga nagbabalak mag anak is 20,000 lang sapat na para sa bata.

Enough-Wolverine-967

Di yan OA. As a highrisk nung buntis ako, 6k a week for doppler velocimetry + utz (mura pa to), vitamins, diff meds (pampakapit, gaviscon liquid, aspirin + moriamin) tapos PF pa sa prenatal. I gave birth at exactly 38wks via CS on a Level II Hospital in my city. Prior to my delivery, tinturukan pa ko ng pampa-mature ng lungs ni baby incase lumabas prematurely. And oh, add mo pa 'yung ung unexpected Emergency runs dahil sa nausea and hyper acidity!

Standard_Patience764

For the milk, breastfeed si baby up to now 3 years na sya.

seasquall19

Every time we have a pregnancy scare and she’s like “It’s okay, we can always find money” 💀 i’m even more reluctant to have kids now hahaha. Also sa binyag/1st bday. I have seen a lot of people who will happily go into debt just to let their kids have these events. Wag tularan, keep it simple… responsible.

LonelyJL

359k for 1 year? Isn't this too good to be true? Budget ko if mag aanak ako 1M to 2M from pregnancy to 1st birthday. OA yan kasi masyadong mura yan. HAHAHAHAH

ForeverClean1346

Just gave birth. Kulang na kulang yan.

FaithlessnessFar1158

Mas makatepid Ang mga guys sa Only Fans 😂

NadieTheAviatrix

More or less, that would be considered as a 'low conservative' estimate

FleabagKahlo

Oa masyado. Daming options para mas makamura. Pang mayaman yang estimated budget na yan. May newborn ako ngayon di naman ganyan inaabot expenses namin per month. Di rin ganyan inabot ng hospitalization fees.

Sea-Lifeguard6992

Realistically? Pre natal and labor expenses should be higher. Aabot ka ng half million ka na agad with these minimum (normal delivery, no complications sa mom and baby), even with Philhealth. Most HMOs only cover ob consults nalang ngayon (well, sa plan for the employed usually ganun), hindi included ang labs and labor. Baby prep pa (getting the home ready - crib, car seat, baby needs), another 100k for the first 6 months. Remember, infant care should include mother care -- vitamins, proper nutrition, kasi nagbbreastfeed ka. Mga hindi needs: gender reveal, Binyag and 1st birthday are not for the baby. Capricho lang ng nanay yan. Kid won't even remember those. Wtf?). Wag na siya mag anak. Kawawa bata.

Professional_Way2844

Yung milk better breastmilk for health. Kaso while makakatipid ka, may isa namang di magwowork para makapagpadede, so idk if it's worse.

DragonfruitWhich6396

A lot of full time working moms are able to manage breastfeeding, depende lang talaga sa working environment. Nagawa ko din sya for a few months.

Unusual_Display2518

Labor expenses, that's the cs itself pero di pa kasama yung after care ng nanganak atbp miscellaneous ng hospital.

iratots721

Very true 🥲

0lli3boy

Hot-Percentage-5719

Depends if your pregnancy is sensitive. I have friends who spent ₱100k and ₱400k nung nanganak alone. Depends din sa hospital, at if may iba pang medical condition.

13arricade

this is a very conservative estimate

PublicAgent007

Actually mura pa yan hahaha, Labor expenses namin ng misis ko was around 200k (CS), Pre-Natal expenses depends sa situation pero more than 25k nagastos namin pampalapit alone was around 15k, OB PF pa na mas mataas haha. Tho yung diaper yung 2k per month para first 2 months lang after nun babawas na yung gamit ng diaper we use Aiwibi and ang alam ko mas mahal pa siya sa huggies, pampers and EQ and parang nasa 1.4k per month lang may excess pa. Gamit ng bata hahaha stroller and car seat palang yung 20k, marami pang ibang gastos hahaha.

Scbadiver

You actually can't put a price on having a kid like this. If you are going to do this might as well do the same for buying a car or a cellphone, laptop. Vaccination seems to be a little bit high. Breastfeed so no need to spend on milk. Diapers there are ways to get cheaper ones.

Unseecret

Either sakto or kulang pa yan.

03thisishard03

Kulang yung labor expenses. Wife ko CS, around 140k nabayaran namin.

ArkGoc

My own opinion sa mga nakasulat. **Pre-natal expenses** --- napaka importante for the mother and the baby, HUWAG TIPIRIN! 25k siguor for checkups, ultrasound, labs, vitamins. Saktuhan lang yan. **Mga Gamit sa Bata** --- 20k? Depende sayo yan. First time parents tend to overspend. That's fine. **Labor Expenses** --- I'm assuming this is the panganganak bills? 80k for CS is very cheap. **Diaper** --- 2k/month? Depende sa baby niyo yan, mamimili kasi kayo kung san siya magiging comfortable and what works. **Vaccination** --- 50k Annual? Monthly ang vaccine, if private pedia kayo, siguro more than 50k. Iba iba monthly. **Milk** --- YEP milk is expensive. Breastfeed is the way! **BINYAG** **& 1st birthday ---** 100k for both is too much. Kung hindi pagsasabayin, gagawin kong intimate yung binyagan (with ninongs & ninangs only) then splurge sa 1st birthday!

GrumpyCrab07194

Lol

doubtful-juanderer

Gonna be an endless money pit I tell yah. In this economy? Think I'll pass having a kid

rowssicheeks

We cannot say na this is OA. As a parent, we strive to give our kids the best that we can.

Calm_Bobcat5352

Para sa maralitang Pilipino, OA oo, madami naman kasi yun libre jan, like the vaccines and pre natal, Milk? breastfeeding is the best and it’s free, if you opt to bottle feeding there are cheaper alternatives. But if the parents want to splurge or let us say “the best” for their baby then why not. You do you. Some people even spent hundreds of thousands just for baby strollers so why not if you can afford it.

da_hitman

Wala akong anak that's why I'm enjoying my life to the fullest. - 6 digit earner - living in a BGC condo - have a very cute 2 year old dog - can buy whatever I want - walang responsibilidad other than my pet - more time to exercise - STRESS FUCKIN FREE!

capricornikigai

"Babies are expensive" PERIOD

iced-dickk

Mura pa yan

toyraider

Hospital bills pa lang namin from emergency CS reached 600k. Vastly understated pa yan

play_goh

Wala pa dyan yung expenses pag nagkasakit ang bata.

Peachyellowhite-8

They said, you need at least a million to have a baby.

CoffeeAngster

This would be for an UPPER CLASS FAMILY. Poor Hornypino Families don't have Family Budgeting like this only backwards Folk Catholic Methods that make the wife a baby factory while the husband make minimum wage to feed his vices and assert his ego on his wife and spawns 🤣

KlarkShark

Father of 3 kids here. Here are tips to lower the costs: 1. 9 Pre-natal check up and 1 post natal check up is free kung may HMO ka, Free din sa health center. 2. Free din sa health center and vaccinations. 3. Try to do breastfeeding (kung kaya) up until 2 y/o (eat a lot of malunggay) 4. Pwede sabay na ang birthday and Binyag.

Glum_Doughnut3283

I have twins and we spent 800k on the first year on the babies alone, kasama na lahat lahat ng nakalista dyan, iba pa ang groceries namin at food expenses. That was 2019 pa.

Secure_Big1262

Definitely more!
