Honestly, today I was thinking about how now with 4/8 siblings married, they’re going to HAVE to start giving their married couples plots. There’s no rule that the paired off ones have to do nothing- just unfortunate with Rege leaving and then Jonny was shooting Wicked so he wasn’t available much.
There is still so much up in the air, but they’re not going to just abandon their couples once they’re married. Because what will S6 look like- Franchaela and the Mondrich’s?
I think the actors just blow up and get more acting opportunities and want to leave and explore more as well. Shooting Bridgerton is A LOT. It makes sense they want t branch out .
True, but also two does not make a pattern. Really we have just seen Rege who left and Jonny who was busy (which then influenced the women). But I do believe we will see more from Kanthony in S4, since I don’t think anyone has major conflicts with filming. I think it will be up to every actor and what they want from their career/Bridgerton. For most actors, finding a secure job is rare in this day of television, so I think most will try to hold on while they can.
Yes, but filming for JP ends in September, and Simone’s role in F1 shouldn’t be more than a couple scenes. So I think both will be free to be in at least S4 more substantially.
I'm hoping that they start developing Hyacinth and Gregory soon. The scene with Gregory and Anthony was one of my favorites in the series so far. If the series is renewed that long, they need to be developed to lead their seasons anyway. They are both fun characters. I think the audience will love them when they get something to actually do. Hyacinth can find trouble anywhere, and Gregory is just loveable always trying so hard to do the right thing.
I def think they are gonna develop Hy, she was in more grown up dresses and more prominent in season 3. Can’t wait . I hope she more interactions with lady Danbury like in the books

She’s had 1? Crush. She’s scared of courting and romance . There’s no romantic development on her end whereas Ben has done nothing but explore romance and sex. This is a romance show. She can’t be next yall. Season 4 will be her build up. Ben moving to my cottage will world build for Eloise to explore live with Phillip in season 5
Sexual development or mental? Eloise had a mental and intellectual connection with Theo, Benedict had no love, only sex. and you're absolutely right - this is a show about love that you can't be prepared for. it happens suddenly, like a lightning strike, like a sharp knife from around a corner (c)

I agree with you. I think I'd really like to see Chris have a reasonably long role in this season and then have the lead couple space in their own season like Polin did.
I love the bridgerton siblings but also really love their SOs, so honestly any screentime for them as opposed to the extra not so relevant storylines is really appreciated.
Having said that at this point, I've hyped myself for the next season to be Philoise already. Lol. The dilemma.

Sometimes the show doesn't make a lot of sense to me. In S1, Anthony spent so much time with Siena. She was literally everywhere. Then at the beginning of S2, they emphasized how much work Anthony did to run the estates and family. He worked all the time. In S3, Benedict has taken over all of that work, but it seems no big deal for him. I don't think we actually saw him do anything work related. It would have been the perfect opportunity to see a different side of him. The serious responsible side that is in there, but they did decided no. I don't know where they're going.
He is just like in the book: aimless, knowing that he is not seen as Benedict the artist, the unique person, but one of the Bridgerton brothers. That is when Sophie comes and appreciates him for the person he is.
Basically I’m impatient lol, Philoise are the couple I’m most interested in seeing next, and since it takes so long for them to produce each season I’d rather see them sooner rather than later. That said, if they’re not S4 because they want to develop Eloise more but we at least get the ball rolling on their story (Eloise finding out about Marina/starting to write letters etc) I’d probably be pretty happy with that. And if that’s the case, hopefully we’d still be able to see Phillip again in some capacity to set things up.
I'm very excited to see Eloise's season, but I do agree with you that as a character she needs more time. I really felt they could have done more with Eloise's arc in S3, particularly in Part 2. I felt Part 1 was setting her up for a big side plot, but it never really went anywhere. There are so many parallels to Colin's feelings around society that they could have explored more. Eloise has realised she doesn't fit in with the Ton and the other debutantes, despite changing her social circle and outlook. However, it's like the writers haven't realised that or they just don't know where to go with her.
At this point, I think S4 is Benedict and I have various reasons why, but I do see the evidence for Eloise too. Regardless of who is next, I'd really like to see them use S4 much like S3 and have a focus on the main couple, but with a larger subplot for a sibling to set their groundwork for their season. It could be a great opportunity to run Eloise and Benedict in parallel and see them supoort each other.
In all honesty, I think they should have never strayed from the book order because it's caused them more of a headache than I think they ever realised.

I read that they felt like they had to make the choice to switch Colin and Pens stories happen in the ton so they didn’t have to create more sets until they absolutely needed to coz Ben and Eloise stories happen primarily outside of Mayfair and London and will require different locations and sets . It’s nuts the amount of work that goes into it ! I hope they have bigger subplots too.
What’s great about how Eloise has been written is that her character development has been striking but also steady in taking it’s time. And yet, there is still more that could develop for 2 more seasons esp if she is to travel more. I absolutely love the ending to this past season for her. Seeing her look through the window out to Pen, with her face looking so genuinely excited just warms my heart so much!

I would be completely ok if they will do romantic and sexual scenes without her being naked. It can be beautiful and still sexy, if they do it carefully. I don't know, it would be kind of unEloise to see her naked. Most of the viewers are (straight) women (I think), so Chris could be shirtless, she could have some gown and that's it.
I also don't want her to be write out, but the longer she is there, the more it will be difficult for writers to give her lines and not ruin the character.
There is possibility she can stay there after her season, if the writers will have good ideas, because she will not be like other married ladies and she definitely will do things unappropriate for her. They still didn't do anything with her show fear of birth, so this can be resolved in next seasons after her own.
And I think when Claudia as actress wants to stay here as long as possible, they could let El to have the role of Daphne or other absent sibling in future seasons (I didn't read books 6-8 yet).
If they want to do 8 seasons, they need to tangle the siblings stories witch each other somehow, because when those first 5 siblings we know from start will not be here, many fans may loose interest.

Because she's the lead, she'll only be recurring in the next season and will be gone for season 6. She has mentioned many times that she'll break down into pieces the day she stops playing Eloise, and that her friends and family will need to comfort her. That's how much she loves playing Eloise.

It's like the writers are new every season and don't read the previous seasons scripts or watched the show before. The writing is very frustrating!
