If you start counting from when you put them in the furnace then you’re gaining 7 coal per coal burned, but , if you start counting from the moment you started mining coal with silk touch then you’ve lost around 60-80% of your coal. I just did some quick math, I’m sure someone else can give you a much more accurate answer.
