When I was in the cadets an ex RAF regiment Warrant officer(or-9 equivalent fort he ground branch of the RAF), who had kept his rank after medical discharge as he became a RAFVR(t), told me;
"if its under your berret it's yours, if its out of your beret is mine, and I tell you what to do with it"
Basically if you could hide it under your berret you were free to do whatever you want so long as you had short back and sides.
I assume that whichever branch of whichever force this guy is in has a similar rule
All it says now is it can’t have “excessive bulk”, for most units though as long as it’s not touching ears or eye brows your fine. (At least in national guard)

I worked with a guy about 10 years ago who wore BCGs. I assumed he was in the Guard or something and asked him what branch he served in, he said he didn’t. My former Navy friend wouldn’t believe me that someone “out in the wild” would willingly wear them, so I had to snap a discrete pic in the lunchroom one day.
I’m assuming you are quoting the regulation from when you were serving. Because a stated length hasn’t been a thing since at least 2016. If you’re still currently serving pull the reg out and re-read. Leaders can’t keep quoting shit like gospel but never open a publication or regulation.
Up in Canada there was a news update talking about the new tighter regs on previously relaxed regs. apparently most of the negative feedback is from the army portion, navy and air were more happy to have some longer hair and facial hair aloud. They are still trying to find a happy middle ground in a changing climate, hard to get recruits if you don't move with the times a bit.

There’s no detailed length limit. As long as the hair isn’t protruding out of your headgear when worn. And the sides are not growing *past* the ears (they can still touch) then you’re good
I got out recently, but I had my hair long enough to the point that it touches my chin when it’s wet. I just slicked it back with pomade and never had an issue
There is no stated length boss. Was in 2012-2108 and had hair longer than this, had the reg memorized to tell chuds fuck off.

A buddy from HS joined and had similar hair, he said just couldnt have hair touch his ears or forehead
And no more than 2 inches in bulk up top. His hair has less than 2 inches in bulk. He’s way in reg.

The most pushups I ever got was camouflaging my BCGs. My Drill Sgt walked up and said "Just start and I'll tell you when to stop" I camo'ed them to match my face which was also camo'ed, in the same pattern.

I worked with a guy about 10 years ago who wore BCGs. I assumed he was in the Guard or something and asked him what branch he served in, he said he didn’t. My former Navy friend wouldn’t believe me that someone “out in the wild” would willingly wear them, so I had to snap a discrete pic in the lunchroom one day.

Up in Canada there was a news update talking about the new tighter regs on previously relaxed regs. apparently most of the negative feedback is from the army portion, navy and air were more happy to have some longer hair and facial hair aloud. They are still trying to find a happy middle ground in a changing climate, hard to get recruits if you don't move with the times a bit. No where does it say “two inches in length” anymore lol There’s no detailed length limit. As long as the hair isn’t protruding out of your headgear when worn. And the sides are not growing *past* the ears (they can still touch) then you’re good I got out recently, but I had my hair long enough to the point that it touches my chin when it’s wet. I just slicked it back with pomade and never had an issue

AI hmmm.... I'm more inclined that the editor maybe has something like AI generative fill thingy to replace the body with an astronaut suit (I heard it's in the latest Photoshop CC?).
