Nag bida ka lang ata OP

Educational-Tie5732

*I am in my first job as a software engineer earning P30k to P40K ang range. Is that good for an entry-level job? Or am I undervalued?* hays

AmaNaminRemix_69

Starseed-1000

HAHAHAHA

ashpaultalisay

sa tru lang

Simple-Lingonberry56

hahahaha ganyan ka pala lord sa iba

jtan80813999

30k - 40k is very high already for a fresh grad right now. Is it wfh?

kamrakboom

I graduated last year. Also with ongoing 6 months of experience as a dev. I always remind myself not to rush things. As long as i am growing and learning everyday. That's it.

IT-girl09

Samee hehe anong tech stack mo?

papsiturvy

Why? Anung mabigat na reason? 6-7 months is a bit too short. I would say stay around 1-2 years then move to a new one pag sawa ka na or kung gusto mo naman ng iba na. I understand na you want to learn something new pero mas maganda do it in your own free time or suggest ka dun sa team mo since as per your statement mababait naman sila.

idkymyaccgotbanned

Agree. And why aim for local companies, as 50-65k is small for your 2nd job anyway. If you’re great at what you do, keep it up and study on the side na lang. With your current situation, you may be able to reach your target salary by promotions/salary increase May demand yata naman ang TypeScript. Baka d m lang pa natry isearch TypeScript/JS mismo

Zurcemozz

Naol ganyan salary as a fresh

Next-Definition-5123

Bro almost all fresh graduates will do anything to be at your place right now Lol. Stay there and get more exp until you find a better one.

walangyelo

I was able to land a job before with React/NodeJs lang, although I have an experience with both Java and C#, di naman sya nagamit sa recent work ko. I'd suggest na pwede mo naman aralin if interested ka, pero mas may value kasi yung isang tech stack if ginamit mo talaga sa work mo. You can even try applying for jobs na merong Java or C#, pero you need to be honest with them na wala kang work experience pero willing ka matuto (since 4-5 months ka pa lang naman). 30-40k is a good range based sa mga nababasa ko dito sa threads. When I started coding, around 20k lang yung sweldo ko pero that's 10 years ago. It took me a long time before I was able to move sa lagpas ng 50k, and I think one of the reasons is yung hindi ko pag-job hop. However, hindi ko masabi if magiging "bad" record ba kapag lilipat agad ng trabaho kahit wala pang 6 months man lang. I think the best way to know is to try applying for those kinds of jobs. If you have the time naman, then why not. Siguro dun nila gina-gauge yung mindset mo rin as a developer. Kung paalis-alis ka lang ba talaga dahil sa pera or willing to stay ka ba kasi gusto mo rin matutunan yung pinaka-ginagawa.

Dependent-Sherbet-91

Kahit anung programming language is may demand kahit nga cobol eh, ang tanong lang is ganu ka kagaling? May kakilala ako pag may bagong framework or tech aaralin agad or kesyo I demand daw un Ayun na stuck parin sa entry level, dami ngang programming language na alam kaso lang entry level parin skillset.

RadishSinigang

At least 2 years to gain experience, para paglipat mo, junior position ka na. It will reflect sa resume mo na parang hindi ka lang na regular

Patient-Definition96

Economy_Ad_5435

Jesus I wish nakapagapply din ako diyan lol. Hanap na hanap ako ng nextjs stacks wala akong makita haha Anyway stay maybe till you get a year. Maybe two even kung di ka naman in a rush. Mukha namang wala kang clear reason like toxic management to resign so stay. If you want a higher paying job then look while your still there, not when you're out of there pero yea, make it last a year muna before looking. Also cant really judge if sakto yung 40k sa job load mo since idk kung ano yun exactly lol. Pero most starting swe jobs dito alam ko ganyan range? On the higher end nga yan afaik eh. As for in demand tech, just learn while your working. Then create projs to showcase na may alam ka sa kanila since wala ka namang "working exp" sa kanila. Kahit naman magresign ka ngayon at magaral wala ka rin namang mapapakita with those tech stacks.

kappatazPH

Stay for 2 years as long as you are learning. If you do not feel like you are learning, find a mentor in your company and upskill. After 2 years, mas malaki jump ng sahod mo kesa kung aalis ka nang mas maaga. Sulitin mo yung 2 years dyan. It seems like they have a good and in demand tech stack. Maayos pa sahod for entry level. May task management pa.

Ok-Dog-8065

bruhhh sa amin 20k lang tapos may 2 years contract bond pa. swerte mo. Btw, .net and react js stack namin so yun nlang pinaghuhugutan kong tapusing yung contract lol

Alarming-Ad-1982

Bubot ka pa OP..baka mahirapan ka lumipat at wala yatang company magpapasahod ng 65k sa kagaya mung newbie, less than 1 year experience haha

namelesspusa

ferdz20

Leave na go kung nadadalian ka at na bored ka na at kung kaya mo makahanap ng mas maganda sa sahod mo for new dev haha. pero seryoso ok na yan malaki nga bigay, in demand din yan js at typescript and reason lng kaya mas marami java at .NET Kasi mas favourable yun for enterprise softwares.

Solid-Bell-2232

30 to 40k per month sa entry lvl malaki na yan i think ung entry lvl ngaun na oks mga 20k to 30k mag 1-2yrs+ ka muna jan para maganda record ng cv/resume mo. swerte ka nga jan kasi nextjs and AWS gamit nyu , ibang devs dream tech stack nila yan.. advice ko sau sa growth mo gawin mo ung 100DaysofCode chalenge, itry mo lahat nung mga indemand na nakikita mo create mini projects, idocument mo lahat sa github or sa X if oks naman management jan at baka tumaas pa sahod mo after maregular or after 1yr , stay muna

Hour-Organization530

Adding another skill won't hurt. It will add to your value. The fact that leaving has crossed your mind, to me the situation is telling you something. Hope that helps.

jaikun12

You're at a tech stack na possible ka makapasok sa international startups that will give you $$$. Why tf would you shift to Java and target local companies na mababa ang sahod???

DaisukeAngular

Weird flex

KeyCombination0

Flex graduate* iedit mo yan

briantria

Kung gusto mo lumipat, go.

-Zeraphim-

Upskill ka pa and try to find new opportunities, im a fresh grad too earning 2x ur salary since you've mentioned it. Work ka pa for like 1-2 years in ur company para di magmukhang nag jajob hopping ka.

Pure-Bag9572

You are no longer fresh, you just gained experience. :D

franz_see

You seem to be in a good company. But if you are going to check out what’s out there, dont just ask for P65k. Whatever the offer is, it should be worth it for you to leave the good working environment, good tech, etc. Kung papasok ka sa legacy code, might as well ask P80k 😁 Will you get it? - I dont know you so hard to say. Chances are slim. But at least you know what those that can pay P80k is looking for. Pero having said that, I recommend working with your direct supervisor on your growth plan. Chances are, kaya mo mag P80k (_or at least close to it_) sa current company mo in a reasonable amount of time.
