He is stunning. Such a sweetheart.
Does he have other pets to play-fight with, or is he just over the top with you? Because a lot of the time, if you play with him with (eg) feathers on a string, or ping-pong balls, and just exercise him, it'll help get rid of his extra play energy. As he gets a bit older, he'll calm down a little (hopefully).
By the way, those ears are incredible.
He doesn’t currently have another young cat to play with, the charity we rescued him from suggested he would be better as an only pet-possibly because of his blindness. We have an array of toys (he loves his feathers) and he loves playing-however he’ll suddenly go full play attack on arms or legs. I’m putting it down to overstimulation and lack of socialisation, so we’re doing some re-direction training for it!
We didn’t realise how big his ears were until we got him, swear he can hear my thoughts
There was definitely no judgement on my part about him being an only cat, btw, just wanted to say that.
He sounds delightful! It's common for young cats to go all-claws-and-teeth when they're so young, as you know, and the reasons for it can range from "No reason at all, fuck you very much," to "Every reason in the world, so deal with it," and they make me laugh. xD
This morning, my son's cat swiped at me because I walked past his food plate and didn't feed him. But the thing is, the only time I feed him is when my son's not home. lol. Any time my son goes out of our front door, that cat is by my side two minutes later, crying because he's starving and "How can you watch me waste away?!", even though I *know* he was fed and saw him eat not 20 mins before. After the first few times, I'd take a quick pic of the cat looking at me with the big eyes and send it to my son. "Here he goes again!" haha
I'm sort of hoping your Kizad doesn't grow into those ears, so that he always has ears way too big for him! It's adorable. But then, he'd be amazing as a mind-reading huge cat, too.
Thank you so much for the very important photo of the beans 🫘
