US...some variations are available at the Google Store. My local Best Buy is still accepting pre-orders, looks like Amazon is still taking pre-orders, some carriers do not show sold out.

I'll edit the original post, but I'm in the U.S. and looking for a black 6 Pro with 256GB.
Best Buy allows pre-orders for Verizon customers, according to it's website - but I'm on T-Mobile so I need an unlocked device.
I'll check Amazon, too. I assume I just have to wait.
I just checked the Google Store and that variant Unlocked is in stock. Only the 512 GB reads Out Of Stock.
If it reads as Out Of Stock, check back. It seems to change throughout the day.
I'm wondering if retailers have a certain number of phones they make available for pre order to be shipped, and they will have a certain number available on the shelves on release day? I'm going that's the case.
I'm in Canada and all are completely sold out and the carrier's here including best buy are only taking pre-orders on just the Stormy Black model which is odd. As I am looking to get the White version. Not sure why they only offer just the black one?
I tried through Google originally and went through all the problems, couldn’t get one and then they showed sold out, and cart empty. I then ordered through Best Buy but was disappointed they only had black. I then just happened to try the Google store later on and got a white one suddenly. The whole order process was a shit show
I see people experienced so many problems yesterday and I wasn't even aware of it. I just came back home from work yesterday at 2130 here in UK, ordered my Pro/256 from Google Store, got delivery scheduled for the 26th of October and everything all together took me no more than 5 minutes. That was lucky :)
When I ordered last night at about 8pm EST in the US, almost everything was in stock on the Google store after having 'sold out' earlier in the day. Keep trying. Good luck!

That's what everyone keeps saying, but I'm seeing "Out of Stock" for all unlocked devices. Just have to keep refreshing, I suppose. Thanks!
Best Buy had unlocked versions but may be out of stock now as well. I'd keep checking as people are cancelling orders here and there.
