If the flight has Starlink should be possible but I havenāt come across it much outside North America. Flying in Europe or Asia the connectivity altough reliable is nowhere near as fast to allow streaming. Best to check before you travel. Where are you flying from and what airline?
The Emirates flights I took from Europe to Dubai to Asia a month ago had a full flight plan for a flat fee per device and you can only use one plan per email at a time. Here are the speeds I was getting and had YouTube videos buffering. During the same trip I had my Portal working on a crappy hotel wifi which was not much better than the speeds I got on the flight but since I didnāt try the Portal on the flight I donāt know.

Try it out and see how you do. Does the Beryl work on a battery pack in case your seat does not have an outlet?
Yeah it works on a battery pack, that was one of the first things I checked when I got it.. travel router should allow me to pay once and then repeat the wifi signal to my families devices š¤š½
The sharing part works fine I can confirm from multiple flights, I have an old D-link travel router that also doubles as a battery pack and can power itself. Most of the recent flights on Emirates have had a power outlet on each seat as well.
Yeah hotspots work fine on the ground I guess, just wondering if anyone had used a travel router in the sky š crazy I know lol. Either way my travel router will make life easier when I get to different places and only have to connect one family device to the internet, the rest will then just connect to the travel router.
Crazy question but do you own the jet? Just because I think this isn't permitted by FAA and some airlines might be monitoring for rogue SSIDs in flight.
I was wondering the same thing lol. I have a 12 hr flight in two weeks and wanted to know if it would even be worth it to get a travel router for the flight. Or if it was even possible to get one through TSA. I have no idea when it comes to this stuff.
You guys are crazy lol

You may get it to connect, but thats it. The latency of the airline internet connections is high and gaming is not possible with it.
Try and let us know how it goes!

The airline/flight attendants didnāt raise any questions when you started using it?
They didnāt even notice lol, it was in the seat pocket the whole time.
What is the model of the device you plan on using?
GL.MT3000 Beryl AX3000
