All I’m going to say is that I’m glad I completed this as a master set, promos included. It’s no secret this set is, in my opinion, peak art of SWSH, and I will happily sit on this set for ten years. I don’t give a fuck about high pull rates or prints. They’re dope cards that I like and will hold them for years.
Yeah I ripped a bunch of ES skies over the last month I've been finding in various sealed products. Maybe 20 packs but all I've gotten are a couple V cards and 1 Vmax.

If this trend keeps up, which it very likely will, the price tag will soon match what the art deserves. Skip eBay, skip Facebook marketplace, take up with a trusted LCS and see if you can’t cut a deal with some trades too. This is an absolutely grand set, and I hate to see some people miss out on it. I finally caved last night and grabbed a case of ETBs after watching the prices on singles moving. Loved seeing this post the next day lol. Yes, fomo and idc. I hem hawed too long and I love this set.

I dont know anything oustide of the original 151 but I got back into pokemon last year to start collecting booster boxes long term. Crown Zenith was such a fun set and the artwork is fantastic(better than 151). Huge set. I mastered it. I had a lot of fun.

Does anyone know what the master set is worth? Plus, I have so, so many of the hits multiple times over and almost have a second set of he Galarian Gallery complete as well (probably 80% of it, none of the golds, though).

I have pulled a second arceus, 2 extra mewtwo, 2 extra leafeon and an extra glaceon. Probably should just sell a few of those and there’s the money I need to buy the tina and palkia
Meh, of course prices will increase. Highly doubt explosive growth. Also heavily doubtful on the long term for this set. Will probably age like cosmic eclipse, see growth for a bit but then reach its plateau and slowly drip. For singles at the least.
Just doesn’t compare to the demand for alt arts in other sets. CZ was way too easy to pull from unlike fusion and evo which have seen the most growth
I think its still a bit early to compare the likes of CZ with FS or ES, we only have just started seeing FS price increase in the past couple months, when CZ was released like 14 months after FS.
I think we need to give it a bit more time before we can really compare how they've appreciated against each other.
You guys do realize the pull rates were really high in this set right? It's super easy to get secret rares in this.. sealed will definitely go up in value. But the "secret rares" are really common compared to other sets.
CZ is the only set where I got a lot of duplicate secret rares. It also got like 3 reprints.
So I have the Palkia raw. I’m not sure if it would get a 10. I put it in a sleeve and top loader immediately but I know that doesn’t guarantee anything. What would it be worth at like a 7,8,9?
CZ IS the best specialty set ever, even if it was mass printed. These cards were extremely undervalued for the longest time. I am sitting on THOUSANDS of CZ packs for this reason. CZ will be one of the best sets ever.
Thanks! I do respectfully disagree though. I feel like these gold cards are the best gold cards we've ever gotten, and instead of a gimmick it's adding to the art of the cards. They're absolutely gorgeous, and in the far future people will still be chasing these cards.
The rest of the art styles are a matter of taste maybe, so it is entirely possible that you don't like it. However, it's not about whether you or I like it, it's about the public opinion as a whole. And about the art in this set, the public opinion is extremely positive. As an investor, you should take note of that instead of disregarding such valuable pointers.
Lastly, I do agree wholeheartedly that the good pullrates hurt this set in terms of price height. However, that does not mean that prices can't grow. They simply won't start at a similar level to the Moonbreon, and the won't climb to the same heights as the Moonbreon. However, they are perfectly capable to grow at the same rate as the Moonbreon, and that is way more important. Double-digit growth is something you as an investor should be after, and you'll find it here.
Unless you're a collector instead of an investor of course. In that case, you make a good point. As a collector, you're allowed to yawn at this set if you don't like the art. IMO, as an investor, you can't ignore it.
