I actually wrote the word test below the video lol I just find it funny how the answer is right after the question

YourIntIsOne

This isn’t a riddle event.

PkmnTrainSlate

This one isn’t supposed to be a riddle, this is meant to just be a battle test. (also considering some people got really angry about not being able to solve the easier riddles in some of these events before, maybe they didn’t want to risk it happening again lol)

DNukem170

This isn't new. They always have the requirements at the bottom.

ShiranuiKaede

If some players still don't get these stage requirements....I'll have literally no idea on how they'll still give it more emphasis 😆

LB5VT

I didn't even realize it. If they make it lower down just don't scroll.

andres01234

I'm guessing they got feedback about it and that's why they made it even easier for those who couldn't figure it out and complained

ManufacturerNo2144

No. The other event was a riddle event. DeNA has proven over and over that they don't care about players.

As someone who’s been playing and active in the community since Day 1, my take is that DeNA has proven that they do listen to fan feedback… but it takes half a year to 1.5 year to finally implement it. Happened with Stamina, Skip Tickets, Login Tickets, candies, Coins, Lodge, Battle Villa, Variety scout, less popular character alt spam etc etc. It might be due to them already planning stuff months in advance(proven by the Year 1 several month ahead leaked server info), but regardless the wait is a pain. Not to mention DeNA’s “fix” to the complaints do not necessarily fix it in a way the fans like, so it takes *another* couple months before they fix that as well.

Pre-Stamina the game was an incredibly hours long grind per day for stuff like sync orbs which was awful, so they introduced stamina which was incredibly controversial. I don’t remember the exact timeline but there were tons of month waiting updates, such as skip tickets, the removal of coop orb grinding, the removal of sync pair orb grinding, updating that the main story didn’t cost stamina, etc etc. After a while people complained that dupes were getting hard to get. So they introduced candies, such as through Legendary Events. But Legendary events used to give 5/5 20/20, so now people complained about that and how candies were hard to get- not to mention things like Prestige being the only way to get candies. So they implemented coins. And eventually after people complained about how hard it was to get them they implemented the Battle Point system. (Also the revamp of the daily system a couple times) People wanted more interactions with characters, so Lodge was added. This was like 1-2 years worth of polls asking people what they wanted more in the game, and Lodge was their response(it still isn’t perfect imo, it’s meh) People complained that there was too much alt spam of the same popular characters. I believe Dena’s response was to have both Variety exist and Seasonal pairs be less popular characters- and as we can see the last year or so most seasonals have been less popular characters, and we haven’t had a Lillie alt in ages, and the rare Leon or N alt. Varieties I think were added to give even less popular characters alts to break their own limit of “~4 characters a month” just for those niche fans to have a unit to use. Clearly that isn’t working perfectly, and there may be another fix down the line because there are too many Varieties- although there are less released nowadays than before. Most of these are clear responses to fan feedback because they were options on the yearly/biyearly polls they ask about. There were options like, More interactions with sync pairs, More units of obscure characters, what are your opinions on Stamina, what kind of content do you want to see, etc etc. I don’t think they listen to *all* fan feedback of course, and they’re slow af + seems to always mess up in whatever their initial fix is- but I do think they’ve definitely proven over the years that they do listen to fan feedback in their implementations.

First of all, I said half a year to 1.5 years, as in multiple months is valid or 1.5 years- because like I said I don’t really remember the specific timeline of events, as I’m not a Pokémon wiki writer or anything, just a person in the fandom who noticed they take over a couple months to fix things and not immediately- but still respond. And sorry if you thought that I meant it as a “rule,” I just said it takes around that time for them to respond- just a vague estimate because again, I’m not sure of the exact timeline of events. At the beginning, people did not complain about getting dupes because there was no reason to get dupes- sync grids took a while to get introduced and once that happened was when all the problems started and the fixes happened. Stamina was introduced at the same time as Move Candies imo both as a response to sync grid complaints- the grind for sync orbs was insane. Stamina was not perfect, I agree, but I think it was a direct shift of game direction due to all the complaints(stuff like Sygna Suit lore is forgotten because they had those polls asking if we wanted more alts like Holiday Rosa and Holiday Siebold, which obviously people wanted compared to lore stuff). Obviously they’re cutting down now because they’ve realized they’re too generous, but at the start they had to develop systems to give enough coins because there wasn’t any good system in place, so the Battle Point system was created. Which it took a couple months after candies before coins were introduced. Also, in the early days remember there were no way to purchase stuff like mats or sync orbs, only gems. Adding stamina doesn’t encourage spending > grinding because there was nothing to spend on besides gems. Mats and sync orb stuff for purchase was added in like… Mid Year 2-3? It was very lately added even after the stamina system was implemented. And even disregarding that, you’re forced to grind even if you spend- remember in the early days, if I pulled Lance for instance, I would not only be stuck at like Level 20 with all my abilities locked and no access to Hyper Beam and TM because I need to grind for those materials. And remember back then it was 1-5 materials per level clear. The grind discouraged spenders who just wanted to spend and use their new units. Alt bias obviously still exists, but it still isn’t emphasized on *just* the 4 like Marnie Leon N Lillie etc. Like, would you really expect our summer alts to be Tate and Liza with Jirachi paired with Tate? And even Alola VA they could’ve easily had a Lillie alt there but they held back. Or a Marnie alt during Galar VA. (Leon made sense because he was the actual Champion of the region after all) This is personal opinion of course- and I personally do think the Variety is in response to fans wanting their units because they really are solid units and personally I’m happy with pulling them to use when I’m a fan of the character. For me personally I just assume if they’re a Variety, DeNA does not expect to make money on them on a regular alt and wouldn’t give them an alt period, so I prefer having an alt to use versus none at all(This doesn’t apply to everyone obviously, but for people like Agatha and Thorton I’m happy with their kits to use)

andres01234

so in 1.5 years they'll give us more gems 🤭

electricqueen135

I mean, whenever they have these there are always people in this subreddit asking for the solution to every question no matter how straightforward it is. Some of them also could have been interpreted in multiple ways which can be frustrating.

VampPhoenix9999

It's better than the awkward translations or vague hints with unclear answers (I think one of them in the past required Brock and a "rock-solid Pokémon" but Brock & Tyranitar didn't work, stuff like that) but now it feels like nothing. We already have much more challenging "beat this stage with these conditions" missions--I guess this is supposed to be that, but for beginning players?
