Ever since I first saw it in the first pokemon movie in 99’.
I'm not OP but I think the OG donphan is perfect, balanced design, it feels like pokemon, etc. The others are...*gulp* ok. They don't look bad but donphan is the perfect design for me
I do like the paradox forms! Caught a shiny Great Tusk in a beast ball and it’s one of my prized possessions. The OG donphan is my favorite, though. Ever since I saw it all those years ago I was in awe by it. I was like WHAT IS THAT!?!? I need it!!! Peak Pokémon design right there. The tire treads on its trunk/back, the tusks, the ears, the bands around its legs, all of it. An elephant that can roll up into a tire and proceeds to smash into things!? Uh yeah sign me up!

Love Gardevoir so much, ever since I evolved Kirlia in Ruby. She’s been my go-to for years. Especially with her signature Choice Scarf. I nickname mine Aurelia. The name befitting an angel of her grace and splendour.
I always have to have Gardevoir on my team too! I haven't always named my Pokemon, but I named her Lady in my violet playthrough and I'm keeping it for every one going forward
I’ve got a shiny lapras I caught in pogo for my daily login spawn I named Nessie. I no longer play pogo after the reddit page banned me for no reason (I rarely even posted there) and they lowered shiny rates for community day. I brought nessie to letsgo, beat the e4, then did the same through swsh then sv. Lots of memories with my purple turtle baby

Though she doesn't have a nickname (and neither does any of my Violet team), but like the rest of my Violet team (except for Torterra, which I added in place of Arboliva for the Indigo Disk) she's been through it all. From the Treasure Hunt around Paldea, the school trip to Kitakami, to visiting Blueberry Academy, exploring the deepest dephs of Area Zero, and the epilogue.
I picked fuecoco as my scarlet starter too, the reason I didn't pick sprigatito was because I took a break from my type speciality (dark). I'm back to it now but I called my fuecoco "coco pops"
Mine is my Shiny Lugia. I have a very special connection to it. When I was younger, I used to fight various ailments. So I would always Soul Silver. And as a result, Lugia got me through most of my real life troubles
My shiny, rare marked Roaring Moon in a beast ball is my new ace Pokémon for sure! It’s just too cool and rare not to have at the front of my party at all times

All of these Pokémon are my favourites, This will be my team in Pokémon world, but If I were to choose an ace would be Ursaring, Love the Pokémon.
When Ursaluna was first released, I hated it and Pokémon for ruining my favourite Pokémon, but Blood Moon Ursaluna looks amazing, which has eventually lead me to hate Ursaluna slightly less. Blood Moon Ursaluna is up there with my favourites.

Eevee is named frisk like form undertale. It’s the lets go eevee.
Mimikyu is named pikachu and he’s from swsh. I need to rename him for species clause (it was name clause right if that even exist?) though. I’ll just rename him pika or something.

Any game it's available in, I always go back to Totodile. My boy was the second pokemon I ever owned (first was an accidental Lugia keyring from a supermarket surprise capsule. I didn't know there was change in the dial, and I was given a Lugia in return.)
I love the Crocs in pokemon, and I initially hated Krokorok as a design, lol. Legit, when Fuecoco was shown, I knew it'd be some kind of reptile, so to get Skeledirge out of it just made my day. He's the perfect fire type croc to be the opposite of Feraligatr imo.

Volcarona. Thought it was cool when I faced it in White fighting Alder, used the lvl 35 one in the sequel and it’s been my favorite ever since. I named my first one Pyrax cause I thought its French name was cool at the time, and now when I get one I name it a combo of that and the regional gimmick. Terastrax is my gen 9 ground type badass and hopefully the gen 10 Pokédex has it. Yes, Iron Moth and Slither Wings existences made me happy as hell. My favorite got TWO variations on it in the same gen? Only Charizard and Mewtwo have gotten that treatment.

Totodile has been my favorite bestest boy since I can remember. Only thing stopping the Sheer Force Life Orb Train is Gen 2 character limits.
I know it might be overused one media but I choose Charizard. Charmander was my first Pokemon (card and starter). It was my first Pokemon that I bred/ev train a competitive one. I mained Mega Charizard Y and somehow managed to catch a Shiny Gigantimax Charizard during that one event who is my current go-to Charizard. I named him Ebon.
I recently was thinking of how you could change a Pokemon but its typing still makes sense. Alolan Sandshrew’s name does not make since for example. So instead of Charizard being Fire/Flying, what if it was Fire/Electric? Instead of just being “Charred Lizard” or “Charcoal Lizard”, what if it was “Charged Lizard”? I’d also make this variant look like a Chinese or Japanese dragon with wings, like the blue and red dragons from ATLA. With it being a regional starter, I’d swap its Special Attack and Speed around, so 100 SpA and 109 Spe. Still going off of my imagination, in addition to the two horns it has, I’d have a single row of identical spikes going down the length of the body. Which I think would be a nice reference to the first Charmander back sprite where it had back spikes.
Never be ashamed of your love for Charizard, my friend. Luxray may be my ace, but Charizard is right there as a *very* close second - so close that I used to prefer Charizard over Luxray, at one point in my life. Charizard may get a lot of love from Pokemon, yes, but I think you and I can both agree that it's one Pokemon that deserves it.
My Dragonite’s name is Circe! Back in ye olde Sun and Moon days I fished for her great great great etc grandmother in the fishing spot up by the Battle Tree to get an HA Dratini in my singular Moon Ball. A few chains and failed catches later I caught her and then bred for Circe using old school breeding methods to finally get my 31/31/31/30/31/31 Adamant Marvel Scale girlie. She took work and I’m so proud of her ❤️❤️❤️

Froslass is my signature Pokémon and I always nickname her Frostina.
It’s always been a Kantonian Raichu since Red Version- and later always with an adamant nature + physical moveset (Surge gave me ideas as a kid). Really rocked during the x:y days with Fake Out, Iron Tail, Volt Switch and Grass Knot.
It was never competitive, just a lot of fun. A few generations on from Alola; I’ve finally warmed up to the new form and though I don’t run with a Kantonian Raichu in my party now - he came out of Pokémon home to join the main team for the last few champion ribbons (we’ve been going since OG Ruby/Sapphire days).

I have a few but I believe the electro cat and dog combo would suit me perfectly. The duality and yet suitable similarities under lightning is great. I also love Raichu and if it’s not electric then my go to pokemon that I must recatch every game is shiny Noibat, ever since I accidentally hatched a shiny one from breeding (I was intending on just getting the perfect stats and nature) and ever since - gotta get one

My favorite Pokémon of all time, named Wolfe
I picked up scarlet so I could get Hydreigon, then never ended up getting it because I found my bestest boy larvitar like 2 hours in, I named him Lars and he carried me all the way to the bottom of area zero, then I played with a friend who had violet and found a shiny iron thorns, called him Chromo-Lars and he's been my favourite ever since
I guess mine would be either Shiny Gardevoir or Espeon.
I've used an Espeon named Vanilla since Gen 2 and so every time I'm able to get an Eevee and evolve it into Espeon I usually name it Vanilla and evolve it into Espeon XD
Unless I am planning on using a different Eeveelution for whatever reason (such as Nuzlockes or because an Espeon wouldn't be good for my team. Usually if it's not an Espeon I evolve it into a Jolteon tho)
I've had the exact same Shiny Gardevoir since Diamond originally released. Male, named it Fravardin. It was the very first pokemon I actively shiny hunted for and I have transfered it up and used it in every game since (so Fravardin has made the journey from Sinnoh to Unova to Kalos, to Alola, then Galar, and is now chilling in Paldea).
Between the two, I'm not sure which would actually be considered my 'ace' though XD
That's hard for me, I switch all the time. I think my one constant throughout all the games I've played is the Ralts line, more specifically, Gardevoir. I started playing gen 6, so psychic/fairy was pretty good and still is. I even did a dragon type only play-through of Violet and had Gardevoir tera dragon. That just what I've used most, though. If I had a youtube channel and I had to have a mascot, I think one of the Tapu's or Gardevoir, as I am currently shiny hunting Tapu Fini and am planning to hunt Alpha Gardevoir so we'll see.
My signature Pokémon is Growlithe, I always have to catch him if he's available. He's been my favorite since I was a child, and I always name him Hawkes.
I usually don’t have one Pokémon as a signature, I pick one relative to the game I’m playing. For Scarlet and Violet, I have a Sylveon named Pixie and a shiny Gyarados named Rouge (no, not “Rogue,” it’s Rouge which means red in French).
When I got into competitive while playing gen 6 ( around 2018 ) I started Pokémon breeding for perfect IVs, one of the first mons I did was garchomp, at the time a Pokémon I quite liked. Every gibble I hatched had a food related nickname so I could tell them apart, from this process I got Jelly, my first 6 perfect IV Pokémon, and one of my favourite Pokémon I own
If in game for Scarlet and Violet, it's my boy Hydreigon. If it's in general than either Garchomp, Tyranitar or Hydreigon. The only one I would name is Tyranitar as fluffy :)
My signature Pokémon has always been Garchomp, both shiny and non-shiny. I use one in almost every game, and the only time I don’t is if it’s straight up not in the dex, or I’m playing a spin-off (ranger, mystery dungeon).
That being said, my first ever Pokémon that I have to this day, and the one I consider my partner, is an Empoleon named Pippy. And as of this latest generation, my friends know me as Cetitan’s number one fan, and the only idiot dumb enough to try and make my shiny Cetitan, Bowhead, viable in competitive play.

Caught a Gible in Platinum and named him Banjo, and after he evolved into a Garchomp, he proceeded to sweep Cyrus’s entire team after I was low on all resources. Been my favorite ever since
Ive created a monotype party for my playable character and he always cycle between 3 of my favorite types; Bug, Steel, or Ghost. His ace from each type respectively are Scizor, Aegislash, and Mimikyu. Its a shame that my most absolute favorite pkmn Aegislash isnt in sc/vl
The Female Counterpart monotype consists of Ground, and i gave her Nidoking as an ace, but while in Paldea her Ace is a tie between Garchomp and Clodsire

Wes's Umbreon from Colosseum. Since you start with him you can't nickname him which is why I specify it Being Wes'. As I kid I got swindled out of my Espeon from Colosseum and got even more protective of Umbreon as a result. He was one of my first couple of pokemon to make it to nearly level 100 (nothing impressive now, but for a kid to do in gen three it was special) before losing him at level 98 to a memory card corruption. I started up a new Colosseum file this year and I get a little teary eyed any time he's the last one standing in a battle
Edit: just noticed now this was the SV subreddit and nor the main sub, so sorry if it doesn't apply. I'm aiming to bring the one from this new save all the way to modern gen if that makes a difference.

I no longer play pogo after the reddit page banned me for no reason (I rarely even posted there) and they lowered shiny rates for community day. Any game it's available in, I always go back to Totodile. My boy was the second pokemon I ever owned (first was an accidental Lugia keyring from a supermarket surprise capsule. I didn't know there was change in the dial, and I was given a Lugia in return.) I love the Crocs in pokemon, and I initially hated Krokorok as a design, lol. Legit, when Fuecoco was shown, I knew it'd be some kind of reptile, so to get Skeledirge out of it just made my day. He's the perfect fire type croc to be the opposite of Feraligatr imo.

Thought it was cool when I faced it in White fighting Alder, used the lvl 35 one in the sequel and it’s been my favorite ever since. I named my first one Pyrax cause I thought its French name was cool at the time, and now when I get one I name it a combo of that and the regional gimmick. Terastrax is my gen 9 ground type badass and hopefully the gen 10 Pokédex has it. Yes, Iron Moth and Slither Wings existences made me happy as hell. My favorite got TWO variations on it in the same gen? Only Charizard and Mewtwo have gotten that treatment.

I know it might be overused one media but I choose Charizard. Charmander was my first Pokemon (card and starter). It was my first Pokemon that I bred/ev train a competitive one. I mained Mega Charizard Y and somehow managed to catch a Shiny Gigantimax Charizard during that one event who is my current go-to Charizard. I named him Ebon. I recently was thinking of how you could change a Pokemon but its typing still makes sense. Alolan Sandshrew’s name does not make since for example. So instead of Charizard being Fire/Flying, what if it was Fire/Electric? Instead of just being “Charred Lizard” or “Charcoal Lizard”, what if it was “Charged Lizard”? I’d also make this variant look like a Chinese or Japanese dragon with wings, like the blue and red dragons from ATLA. With it being a regional starter, I’d swap its Special Attack and Speed around, so 100 SpA and 109 Spe. Still going off of my imagination, in addition to the two horns it has, I’d have a single row of identical spikes going down the length of the body. Which I think would be a nice reference to the first Charmander back sprite where it had back spikes.
Never be ashamed of your love for Charizard, my friend. Luxray may be my ace, but Charizard is right there as a *very* close second - so close that I used to prefer Charizard over Luxray, at one point in my life. Charizard may get a lot of love from Pokemon, yes, but I think you and I can both agree that it's one Pokemon that deserves it.
 My Dragonite’s name is Circe! Back in ye olde Sun and Moon days I fished for her great great great etc grandmother in the fishing spot up by the Battle Tree to get an HA Dratini in my singular Moon Ball. A few chains and failed catches later I caught her and then bred for Circe using old school breeding methods to finally get my 31/31/31/30/31/31 Adamant Marvel Scale girlie. She took work and I’m so proud of her ❤️❤️❤️ My other signature Pokemon is Ty, shiny Leafeon in a Friend Ball! 5 IVs and a good boy.

It’s always been a Kantonian Raichu since Red Version- and later always with an adamant nature + physical moveset (Surge gave me ideas as a kid). Really rocked during the x:y days with Fake Out, Iron Tail, Volt Switch and Grass Knot. It was never competitive, just a lot of fun. A few generations on from Alola; I’ve finally warmed up to the new form and though I don’t run with a Kantonian Raichu in my party now - he came out of Pokémon home to join the main team for the last few champion ribbons (we’ve been going since OG Ruby/Sapphire days).

I guess mine would be either Shiny Gardevoir or Espeon. I've used an Espeon named Vanilla since Gen 2 and so every time I'm able to get an Eevee and evolve it into Espeon I usually name it Vanilla and evolve it into Espeon XD Unless I am planning on using a different Eeveelution for whatever reason (such as Nuzlockes or because an Espeon wouldn't be good for my team. Usually if it's not an Espeon I evolve it into a Jolteon tho) I've had the exact same Shiny Gardevoir since Diamond originally released. Male, named it Fravardin. It was the very first pokemon I actively shiny hunted for and I have transfered it up and used it in every game since (so Fravardin has made the journey from Sinnoh to Unova to Kalos, to Alola, then Galar, and is now chilling in Paldea). Between the two, I'm not sure which would actually be considered my 'ace' though XD

That's hard for me, I switch all the time. I think my one constant throughout all the games I've played is the Ralts line, more specifically, Gardevoir. I started playing gen 6, so psychic/fairy was pretty good and still is. I even did a dragon type only play-through of Violet and had Gardevoir tera dragon. That just what I've used most, though. If I had a youtube channel and I had to have a mascot, I think one of the Tapu's or Gardevoir, as I am currently shiny hunting Tapu Fini and am planning to hunt Alpha Gardevoir so we'll see.

I usually don’t have one Pokémon as a signature, I pick one relative to the game I’m playing. For Scarlet and Violet, I have a Sylveon named Pixie and a shiny Gyarados named Rouge (no, not “Rogue,” it’s Rouge which means red in French).
When I got into competitive while playing gen 6 ( around 2018 ) I started Pokémon breeding for perfect IVs, one of the first mons I did was garchomp, at the time a Pokémon I quite liked. Every gibble I hatched had a food related nickname so I could tell them apart, from this process I got Jelly, my first 6 perfect IV Pokémon, and one of my favourite Pokémon I own
If in game for Scarlet and Violet, it's my boy Hydreigon. If it's in general than either Garchomp, Tyranitar or Hydreigon. The only one I would name is Tyranitar as fluffy :)

My signature Pokémon has always been Garchomp, both shiny and non-shiny. I use one in almost every game, and the only time I don’t is if it’s straight up not in the dex, or I’m playing a spin-off (ranger, mystery dungeon). That being said, my first ever Pokémon that I have to this day, and the one I consider my partner, is an Empoleon named Pippy. And as of this latest generation, my friends know me as Cetitan’s number one fan, and the only idiot dumb enough to try and make my shiny Cetitan, Bowhead, viable in competitive play.

Ive created a monotype party for my playable character and he always cycle between 3 of my favorite types; Bug, Steel, or Ghost. His ace from each type respectively are Scizor, Aegislash, and Mimikyu. Its a shame that my most absolute favorite pkmn Aegislash isnt in sc/vl The Female Counterpart monotype consists of Ground, and i gave her Nidoking as an ace, but while in Paldea her Ace is a tie between Garchomp and Clodsire

Wes's Umbreon from Colosseum. Since you start with him you can't nickname him which is why I specify it Being Wes'. As I kid I got swindled out of my Espeon from Colosseum and got even more protective of Umbreon as a result. He was one of my first couple of pokemon to make it to nearly level 100 (nothing impressive now, but for a kid to do in gen three it was special) before losing him at level 98 to a memory card corruption. I started up a new Colosseum file this year and I get a little teary eyed any time he's the last one standing in a battle Edit: just noticed now this was the SV subreddit and nor the main sub, so sorry if it doesn't apply. I'm aiming to bring the one from this new save all the way to modern gen if that makes a difference.
