I like the design of iron bundle, valiant and moth, but the rest of them are just ok. The worst part I think is how uninspired their shiny versions are. I get the point of the colors and all, but still think they are kinda lame

We didn’t know it at the time but they did the Hydreigon/Dragapult raids early on as well so you could get a 4+ IV of either from online. That was one of the best parts of the support for the game. And the unsung hero of this Gen has been the continuous support we’ve gotten (even if patches for Zoroark and Dragon Cheer were much delayed)

Agreed! I generally prefer Pokemon that look like animals over ones that look like machines. Koraidon is one of the main reasons I chose Scarlet because I knew I'd be seeing a lot of him (while I could easily trade for any Violet Pokemon I need) Miraidon and the Violet paradoxes are... fine. But Koraidon and co. are so much cuter and so much cooler in my opinion!

Love my futuristic Dragon ride. He's awesome, and I renamed him Agias in Amaryss's honor. loved that little part they added in because I had plans to rename him after the story and that sealed the deal for me. Always thought it makes a great name.

I don't know how they messed up the clothing so bad in this gen. It's not even like customizing your character is new in pokemon, and they have done it way better in multiple other previous games.

Frfr I was so drippy in SwSh and then they pulled this. It's like they meant to do it and just never got around to it in the end. They should have added it in as a dlc or a patch or something. But I think a new game has been teased or something so it probably won't happen no matter how much we beg.

I like the future paradox pokemon a lot more. They look so alien and mysterious. And they make strange sounds that fit their appearances. I also like how their lights turn on and off when they sleep, the way they move when they use an attack or when they faint (if you pay attention, those animations are actually pretty unique) and that strange glowing substance that flows through their bodies is actually pretty cool too. I also think their aesthetic makes way more thematic sense with the idea of a time machine. Also, they even made a real life Miraidon motorcycle and that's cool AF.

I own both for my Living Dex, but Scarlet is the main because I prefer the aesthetic of Koraidon.

I got Scarlet because my husband’s favorite color is Purple and he called dibs on Violet. Jokes on him though, I got dinosaurs and Professor Cave Mommy.

I chose Violet for two reasons. First, because I love the color. Second, my husband and I play Pokémon together, so when we get paired games (Ruby/Sapphire, Violet/Scarlet, Sword/Shield, etc) we choose the opposite of what the other person gets. So when Sword and Shield came out, he got Sword and I got Shield, he got Ruby and I got Sapphire, and he got Scarlet while I got Violet.

Naw, Koraidon is awesome(Miraidon has grown on me but still like the look of Koraidon more), I prefer the scarlet paradoxes(not that I dislike Violet's I just really love flutter mane and roaring moon's design) I like the overall aesthetic better in n scarlet and I just really wanted to have skrelp(scarlet exclusive) more than any other version exclusive.

It’s really ridiculous looking. I am playing Scarlet now, I just bought it so I could just get the DLC exclusives. For a living dex I had to replay the game regardless so I said eff it and bought Scarlet. The Kor animations are baaaaaaad. Mir was definitely better looking overall. I like both designs, they are both good for me. But Mir just plays so much better.

Scarlet paradox are way cooler but I have fomo from not being able to shiny hunt a full set of shiny robots, they'd stand right out and be easy to spot unlike scream tail. 

Iron Moth shiny is NOT easy to see.

Scream Tail is easy to spot if you focus on the eyes.

I picked Scarlet because my wife and I decided I get whatever is the red cover art while she gets whatever the other one is when mainline games come out. I got SH and she got SW, I got BP she got SD etc.

I was lucky enough to have a friend who had scarlet, and was able to run through the game, and when I got violet, switched all my mons over. Titans and legendaries.

I think Violet offers better raid pokemon like Iron Hands and Miraidon... but trading exists lol. I have Violet and now I think the Scarlet paradox pokemon look a lot cooler.

I've seen a theory floating around that people gravitated to Violet because we've already had Red/FireRed and Ruby. I think that did actually affect my choice, even subconsciously. I even played LeafGreen when the remakes came out.

I loved Koraidons derpiness in the trailer. And everyone I knew picked Violet for the hover bike. I ended up playing both and Koraidon just feels more animated and it feels like the plot was designed for it first. I love both though. Making them ride pokemon definitely made the player feel more attached imo. Like how SwSh felt like Zacian was designed first. If this is from a VGC perspective, then yeah Miraidon to unlock Iron Hands ability is the better pick.

The only things that makes me regret choosing Scarlet is how awful the uniform colors are. But once the DLC clothes hit it went away 😂 We stay winning!

Nope I vastly prefer Koraidon over floating robo-dick any day. Almost all paradox Mons are better in Scarlet too.

Or choosing both because there the same fucking game

Although I love dinos..the galactic aesthetic and the contrast of yellow and purple 😩

Too bad you can’t choose to ride one or the other once you’ve acquired both.

I’m a simple man. I chose Violet just because I like purple a lot more than red.

I’ll gladly take my cool dinosaur over the weener wagon every day of the week

I would’ve chosen Violet due to futuristic Pokémon hypothetically being cooler, but Koraidon is just adorable for me

I never had any interest in miraidon, I like the feathers too much

Koraidon looks so much cooler than Koraidon, but I much prefer Miraidon as a battler

My daughter has both. I've only played violet.

I picked Violet because it was on sale at GameStop.

One big opportunity I think they missed in this game was the ball throwing. To me, it's one of the more important skills in Pokemon Go.

I chose Scarlet because Koraidon has a cooler name and looks better than Miraidon and the ancient Pokemon look better than the future classic robot Pokemon

And then you miss out on all the cool dinosaurs

I picked violet cuz of the future paradoxes but I’ve been doing raids & picknicking with a level 100 hyper trained Koraidon somebody traded me on home and he’s my favorite boye now

Red and scarlet are my favourite colours but I chose violet because I love the future and miraidon looks cooler
