I collect Oranguru cause my favorite animal are Orangutans! There are only a few cards of him sadly but I still love them. My favorite is the Tranier Gallery from Brilliant Stars (TG12). I want more ape-like Pokémon!
Tbh Oranguru got mega appreciated by the Pokemon Company in SWSH. He got a baby shiny, a secret rare gold, a very playable card, a hand drawn V, a V full art, and a trainer gallery
I collect koffing, weezing, gastly, haunter, Gengar, drapion, sableye among other "self defined" sets.
I have every English artwork of koffing and weezing and most of the japanese including non tcg cards (carddass, Meiji etc), hand drawn cards, stickers, lenticulars 😂 I love my porple gang.
I've told many people, collect what you love, make up your own sets, unless of course you love having master sets of whatever then that's cool too!

I collect Larvitar and I'm planning to start a Fuecoco collection as well. Trying to collect one of every card. Mostly the English versions but if there's a card that hasn't been released in English, then the Japanese version. Besides cards, I'm also collecting plushies of both.
I honeslty love Larvitar. Tyranitar is great and all, real badass. But larvitar is such a flawless design

Currently working on my Staraptor collection, the hardest ones that I actually managed to get were the Polish Reverse (Diamond & Pearl) and the two Russian ones (BREAKthrough). However the most difficult card to find overall seems to be the unlimited version of the Staraptor from the Japanese XY8 (Red Flash) expansion for which I couldn't find a single person having it for now. I went with the best of both worlds and bought a Ditto Magikarp plush. Magikarp being my favorite Pokémon, but the Ditto eyes take it to that next level.

Jessie was one of my first crushes as a little guy, my parents still have a magnet of her on their fridge from when I was in kindergarten(1998) to this day haha. Therefore, I try to collect any Jessie stuff I can get my hands on. I got a really nice first edition Japanese card of a unnamed, red haired “team rocket,” lady at AnimeNYC, and am trying to eventually have every card with her on it.
So because of that, I too, have obtained quite a bit of Meowth and Team Rocket stuff over the years!

It's all about Raichu being graded mint for me. I totally underestimated how many there are and though I'm not that far off being done, getting the last 12 or so graded mint is becoming incredibly difficult! I collect Heracross, with my favorite being the obvious Neo Genesis one, but i also fancy the Japanese MHeracross with the BigBangHorn Text across the card.
Neo genesis has the most simple but absolutely most effective card art designs out there. Neo genesis Sudowoodo 1st edition is one of my most favourite cards I have

I collect Latias graded 9 or higher, and my most treasured card is a PSA 9 Latias gold star with 2 holo swirls. I bought it back when the set came out and graded it myself. It’s the reason that the benchmark for my collection is PSA 9+ (or equivalent from BGS and CGC).
The swirls are such a flex hahaha, do you value a certain company's grade higher than others or do you not mind; as long as the grade js high? (Like a cgc 9, psa 9 and bgs 8.5/9)
I guess I value PSA higher since it’s the one I started grading with and most of my collection is PSA. I like the BGS gold and black labels, but CGC labels are the ones I like the least. I think they’re too blue, and imo, that blue doesn’t go well with most cards. The exceptions are water Pokémon cards and the FAs/alts that have a lot of blue in the art. For those exceptions, I actually prefer CGC over the other 2.
Sudowoodo is an awesome choice, me and my wife have a Bonsly shrine 😭 I personally collect torchic line and have a dedicated binder with copies of english and japanese cards
Me and my son are Pukachu main. And I wanted to share our collection, but I always end up ordering some cards and think taht when they will arrive, I will shoot our binder and put it here. But then I end ordering more cards to make those pager more perfect. I guess I will share my favourite pages of our binder soon.
But aside from Pikachu, we started to make a side collections for Slowblro / Slowking, Psyduck and Magicarp. Those derps are so adorable in any cards.
I'm collecting every JP/EN Rowlet card, that includes cards that had Rowlets in it but not Rowlet named (ie, Pikachu in Rowlet Poncho Tohoku PC promo).
I'm pretty much done with Dartrix and Decidueye, the Rowlet cards tho... had so many Japanese promos that makes it really hard to chase down, plus there's a 2017 championship cards (the staff and participant variant) which are really expensive that I'm saving up for.
My most treasured one would be my PSA10 Munch Rowlet that my wife got for my birthday. When I finally get to finishing my display its gonna be the centerpiece.
And I'm very happy we are getting Decidueye deck soon, the art for the new Rowlet card is just 10/10.

Volcarona V is one of the prettiest cards I can think of. And I just love its design. Gen 5 is really dear to me, and seeing slither wing was a real treat

yeah unfortunately my favorite pokemon tend to be the more popular/expensive ones, but honestly it makes the collecting more fun because the end is no where close in sight - sometimes i wish kadabra or bonsly were my favorites i could fill one binder page with the whole collection 😂
I collect Nidorino! He doesnt have too many cards but hes one of my favourite gen 1 pokemon. Recently bought the legendary collection reverse holo which is beautiful

I've been thinking of starting a slowpoke collection. I just love the design of so many of its cards. I absolutely love the new full art released. I've probably got a load of them in my bulk already but will need a good sort through.
Sudowoodo is sick! All of his cards look great!! Personally I’ve been able to collect every Abra card, every weird Japanese promo and all! I’m hopefully going to do the same with Smoochum and Gothita, who are my other two favorites!!
For sure 2 of my favorites artworks, those will be next. For my collection start I went with the Totodile half deck one, with the little Totodile symbol I got 2 in 1 Card on top of the adorable art
My favorite Pokémon is Dedenne! I love him so much. I am trying to collect every english Dedenne card, and am about halfway there.
I also have 2 dedenne plushies, some keychains, and stickers of him.

I collect, houndoom, raikou, nudoking and E readers. My goal is to collect all 9 crystal pokemon. My most treasured card is a tie between my crystal lugia and crystal Nidoking. Favorite non crystal card I own would probably be Raikou Skyridge. I have recent posts on my account of the cards !

I collect all things Bulbasaur. My grails are my mint 1st edition, mint graded shadowless, and my legendary collection reverse holo. Got quite a few of the new ones too, but I need more from the early 00's, and then I need all their reverses. I know I could just snag them from TCGPlayer, but finding them in the wild makes me feel like an actual pokemon trainer. :'D

My favorite animals are pigeons and girlfriend just vibes with the uhinged Espurr stare.
I’ve been collecting Galarian Moltres, Houndoom, Silvally, and Zeraora cards. Houndoom has always been one of my favorites, and the neo revelation one is my favorite that I own. The alts for Zeraora and G. Moltres are my favorites for those. Though the Zeraora cards from the galarian gallery are amazing as well.

I started a "one of every aerodactyl art" binder page, and it's coming along!
I collect Decidueye cards, love Archery and Grass Pokémon, so instantly became my favourite Pokémon design.
I would also collect Haxorus cards but has never had anything above a rare since it's release, unbelievable.

I collect gardevoir because its my favorite pokemon , my favorite card is gardevoir GX from burning shadows, i recently added the new three evolution cards (tarsal , kirilia, gardevoir) from ev1 in my collection
I have a gastly/haunter/gengar binder but I feel like that's another common one.. so I have plans to collect every phanpy/donphan card since I've loved elephants since I was a baby. Also have loved donphan since his first appearance in the first movie. Dug up a couple donphan cards that I had laying around and just got a good deal on a psa10 aquapolis donphan (non holo). Also just pulled a great tusk ex the other day, so will probably make a post eventually.

Favorite is the OG because I got it back in 1999, but I'm also partial to Misty's Poliwhirl because it's 1st edition and just kind of unique.

Houndoom. I pulled him from aquapolis and he was one of my first actual pulls as a kid. And this piece of shit kid at school stole it from me. I remember how upset I was but ended up buying another one. I really hope they have some dope artworks of him in the newer sets.

My main man nidoking. I’m getting 1 of each printing possible. For example evolutions nidoking has a nonholo from the mewtwo deck, a holo, and reverse holo and I got all 3 different versions. Trying to see if I can track when Masakazu Fukuda is attending an event so I can get a nidoking autographed by him. And maybe a few gold stars at it too

It's all about Raichu being graded mint for me. I totally underestimated how many there are and though I'm not that far off being done, getting the last 12 or so graded mint is becoming incredibly difficult! My most valued cards is a 2008 championship silver border and signed gold star shiny mew👀
I collect Latias graded 9 or higher, and my most treasured card is a PSA 9 Latias gold star with 2 holo swirls. I bought it back when the set came out and graded it myself. It’s the reason that the benchmark for my collection is PSA 9+ (or equivalent from BGS and CGC).
The swirls are such a flex hahaha, do you value a certain company's grade higher than others or do you not mind; as long as the grade js high? (Like a cgc 9, psa 9 and bgs 8.5/9)
I guess I value PSA higher since it’s the one I started grading with and most of my collection is PSA. I like the BGS gold and black labels, but CGC labels are the ones I like the least. I think they’re too blue, and imo, that blue doesn’t go well with most cards. The exceptions are water Pokémon cards and the FAs/alts that have a lot of blue in the art. For those exceptions, I actually prefer CGC over the other 2.

Me and my son are Pukachu main. And I wanted to share our collection, but I always end up ordering some cards and think taht when they will arrive, I will shoot our binder and put it here. But then I end ordering more cards to make those pager more perfect. I guess I will share my favourite pages of our binder soon. But aside from Pikachu, we started to make a side collections for Slowblro / Slowking, Psyduck and Magicarp. Those derps are so adorable in any cards.
I'm collecting every JP/EN Rowlet card, that includes cards that had Rowlets in it but not Rowlet named (ie, Pikachu in Rowlet Poncho Tohoku PC promo). I'm pretty much done with Dartrix and Decidueye, the Rowlet cards tho... had so many Japanese promos that makes it really hard to chase down, plus there's a 2017 championship cards (the staff and participant variant) which are really expensive that I'm saving up for. My most treasured one would be my PSA10 Munch Rowlet that my wife got for my birthday. When I finally get to finishing my display its gonna be the centerpiece. And I'm very happy we are getting Decidueye deck soon, the art for the new Rowlet card is just 10/10.

Volcarona V is one of the prettiest cards I can think of. And I just love its design. Gen 5 is really dear to me, and seeing slither wing was a real treat Nice!

yeah unfortunately my favorite pokemon tend to be the more popular/expensive ones, but honestly it makes the collecting more fun because the end is no where close in sight - sometimes i wish kadabra or bonsly were my favorites i could fill one binder page with the whole collection 😂

I collect all things Bulbasaur. My grails are my mint 1st edition, mint graded shadowless, and my legendary collection reverse holo. Got quite a few of the new ones too, but I need more from the early 00's, and then I need all their reverses. I know I could just snag them from TCGPlayer, but finding them in the wild makes me feel like an actual pokemon trainer. :'D
I collect Empoleon and Dratini cards. I have managed to collect all English versions of both pokemon and my favorite is by far Empoleon 117 from Plasma Freeze.
I collect Charizard, because cliche childhood.. but the other thing I do is collect Pokémon I use in all the games. If I have used them for a full run of a game then I need to have at least one graded card for it. Onix and Steelix too with Shining Steelix being a massive outlier.

I’ve been collecting Galarian Moltres, Houndoom, Silvally, and Zeraora cards. Houndoom has always been one of my favorites, and the neo revelation one is my favorite that I own. The alts for Zeraora and G. Moltres are my favorites for those. Though the Zeraora cards from the galarian gallery are amazing as well. My husband collects Piplup cards, ever since the one in Brilliant Stars it became his favorite.
It’s not very unique but it’s my favorite Pokémon so idc, I collect any and all Lugia cards I come across (that I can afford) really my only specific collecting goals atm are Lugia cards and illustration rares

I collect Decidueye cards, love Archery and Grass Pokémon, so instantly became my favourite Pokémon design. I would also collect Haxorus cards but has never had anything above a rare since it's release, unbelievable.

Also have loved donphan since his first appearance in the first movie. Dug up a couple donphan cards that I had laying around and just got a good deal on a psa10 aquapolis donphan (non holo). Also just pulled a great tusk ex the other day, so will probably make a post eventually.
I collect Poliwhirl cards, have all of the English ones (there's not all that many). Favorite is the OG because I got it back in 1999, but I'm also partial to Misty's Poliwhirl because it's 1st edition and just kind of unique. Hoping to get more love in the 151 set
Houndoom. I pulled him from aquapolis and he was one of my first actual pulls as a kid. And this piece of shit kid at school stole it from me. I remember how upset I was but ended up buying another one. I really hope they have some dope artworks of him in the newer sets.

So for me I want cards where the Pokemon is crying (Cubone has one and wishiwashi definitely has one) and also want to collect sleeping pokemon cards. I know some people collect pokemon that are eating, or pokemon in bedrooms/houses etc
My main man nidoking. I’m getting 1 of each printing possible. For example evolutions nidoking has a nonholo from the mewtwo deck, a holo, and reverse holo and I got all 3 different versions. Trying to see if I can track when Masakazu Fukuda is attending an event so I can get a nidoking autographed by him. And maybe a few gold stars at it too
