i guess i do collect the coins for the most part but i just donāt have them on display like this - theyāre in empty pokeball tins. this is pretty neat
Its probably also something was invented in Japan first, what can be stored or collected you be rest assured they will work out some sort of containers for it haha
I hate how at regionals they donāt let you use coins and force you to roll a dice instead. I would love to be able to use some of mine.
Also, do you only collect the newer bigger coins because you like them more than the older smaller coins?
I might need to do this. I have so many of these and never had a good way to store them and display them. Thanks, OP! And lovely collection, by the by!
I donāt want to get your hopes up, itāll probably be a minute. Iām still going through all my old stuff, and while most of it is in one place, some is scattered to the winds.
Thereās two coins I know Iāve had, that I feel like youād get a real kick out of. Iāll save your name in case Iām able to track them down.
Okay, I found half of what I was looking for, plus a handful of things I forgot I had, but Iām going to keep looking a bit more.
Lots of nostalgia to be sure.
Pretty sick. Nice OC.
I have a good amount, thought I don't "collect" them..
I have to say my favrotie is probably thr bedazzled Arceus one from the soft lunch tin or whatever. That coin is awesome!
Hey OP, second comment here.
I think I have coins you don't have. Would you like me to try to get some out and get photos for you? Possibly trade for cards or something?
Ok here is what I found.
Quick note: The grookey large coin has some marks on the face/top of coin. No worries if you're not interested in it.
The one on bottom row next to the timestamp is probably the same one you have, but it looked like the pattern was *maybe* different?
Also, there is the cardboard pikachu/pokeball coin top left. No worries if that isn't your jam
Let me know if you see anything you like.
https://imgur.com/a/Vn0uScz
I figured those were the main ones.
Here is the golden goose I forgot about on the side!!
It's the chansey from a certain Japanese 25th anniversary box. I never took it out of the packaging lol
https://imgur.com/a/JdHMnB6
How do you usually value these things?! I have no idea lol.
I'm a goof and forgot arguably the rarest/most "valuable" one I have. I ran out of the house for an hour or so, will post a pic of it when I get home!
Gonna keep it a surprise, but it is not in your pictures! Lol
I don't *actively* collect them, but any time I'm placing an order somewhere that also sells the coins, I chuck a few I don't have on the end of the order. They soon mount up!
Personally it's made me appreciate the smaller coins again, they just feel nice in the collection.
This is a super neat way to store coins. Mine are all just floating around in an old tin š Iām definitely gonna have to invest in another binder and some binder pages like these sometime
Could you link the pages and those covers? Also I read somewhere on Reddit a few months ago that sometimes the coin will stick to the page and peel, have you had any issues like this? I have a huge coin collection as well and havenāt gotten around to doing it mainly because of that worry. Thanks in advance!
[Pages](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002KDNAU2?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) and [coin holders](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002BKM1RC?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share)
These coin holders arenāt sticky like Iāve seen some others. Youāre meant to staple them to hold it shut but just sliding it in the page keeps them secure enough for me, plus I think the staple would make it ugly.
I just started doing this as well!!! I knew other people had to have large coin collections but I didnt think anyone else specifically collected the coins as well as the cards
I've always wanted to get into coin collecting. I have some pretty old ones along with quite a few from the HGSS era but I already spend so much time hunting down cards.
Idk why I never thought of buying coin pages for these. I have mine individually bagged in a boxā¦so like, Iāve collected them, but I canāt really look at them and donāt even know which ones I have. I definitely need to invest in some coin pages!
Your collection is amazing, you have so many! Thanks for sharing!
Personally I donāt care much for the plastic coins because they feel so cheap and the metallic paint comes off super easy (left a rubber keychain on top of one for a couple days once at room temperature and it pulled the paint off).
The metal coins are phenomenal though. Anytime those are an option, I go for it.
Yeah, the plastic ones can get dinged and messed up pretty easily which is annoying especially when they come right out of the box already messed up. I still think theyāre fun to have though!
yo cool!!! i have a handful of them myself. im gonna need to get some coin sleeves like that cause right now theyre chilling in an old prescription bottle that weirdly perfectly fits them all lol.
Neat, thanks for sharing! Do you collect them by buying box sets specifically for the coins? Individually online? Or is it just a little side collection that coincides with collecting cards? I have a little collection of coins and I fall into the third category :)
a cardboard or plastic disk printed with a design or picture, collected or swapped by children or used in games.
a children's game in which players strike a pile of Pogs with an implement, winning any that land face upwards when they fall.
I didnāt even know that coin existed until now š so thanks for that
All the ones I have I either got from opening up product, or trading here on Reddit. And that old mawile box is amazing but too pricey for me now. I might buy the coin eventually but itās fun to hunt for them in trades
Agreed, the Mega-Mawile box is too expensive right now. I'm glad I went for it a while back when it was more accessible.
I have a spare Pin and Coin, if you happen to live in NYC or close I can donate them to you. Is not always you find another Mawile lover xD
2nd time today someone wants to meet that specific day...
I work the evening shift that day, so unless you're around between 12PM-1PM I don't think it will be possible :/
Nope! Not yet, I guess the only grail coin is one I donāt have yet and that would be the mawile one I didnāt know existed until someone commented here about it
I saw pokerev open up a Neo Destiny theme deck and had a silver Lugia coin, but even those are like $10. After browsing eBay, it appears people even grade the coins lmao
Do you have a list of all of the coins that exist and which ones you have? Iād love to know how many different ones are out there and how many youāve got
OP, you should make yourself a display like I did so your favorite ones are not hidden away in a binder. Awesome collection!
https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonTCG/comments/iofci8/coin_display_i_made/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
Great collection! I'm curious.. is there a lot of people on here that collect the coins to this extent?
I do too š it's a nice break from cards and they look nice when it's organized like this. Good job OP
I collect them, just... On a smaller scale. I don't have pokemon money all that much
nice! its a cool affordable pokemon item to collect!
I do! ā
Iād love to see yours :)
Kinky
I have a dozen or so of them, just sticking with my favourite pokemon
As I don't collect the coins, I sell them in eBay and they move fairly well, so yes, there are collectors out there
Awesome! good to know
I do! Iāve posted my coin collection here before as well. Great things to collect that I think people over look, some coins are so pretty
Not to that extent but I collect them. I've also heard that there's a market for Magic the Gathering coins.
Im a pretty big US coin collector so it's just natural for me to keep my pokemon coins like this
Makes sense! šŖ
I just found out about the American Innovation dollar coins, very neat to collect Edit: Also...to the moon GME š
i guess i do collect the coins for the most part but i just donāt have them on display like this - theyāre in empty pokeball tins. this is pretty neat
I use them and love having many for when I misplace some between games lol
Yeah, that sure can happen lol
Now i feel like a monster for chucking them in loosely in a box.
My duplicates are loosely in a box too š
I give them to my little brother, who has recently gotten Into PokƩmon (2 years ago).
As long as you donāt move them around too much or shake the box too much they should keep their mint condition.
I put them in old sleeves and into a stacking tin
I didn't know they made binders for coins, this is such a good idea and it turned out awesome!
It's probably for currency coins.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
You can pay them, but they are unionized so you might be surprised by how much they'll charge you.
surely if theyre unionised they aren't charged yet and therefore won't charge you anything, right?
Its probably also something was invented in Japan first, what can be stored or collected you be rest assured they will work out some sort of containers for it haha
Such a fun collection
Liking the base Calyrex the most here
Where did you get those little bags from?
The binder sleeves are 20 pocket pages and the cardboard around them are coin holders
Oh so like literal coin thats awesome never thought of that
I hate how at regionals they donāt let you use coins and force you to roll a dice instead. I would love to be able to use some of mine. Also, do you only collect the newer bigger coins because you like them more than the older smaller coins?
I have some smaller ones too if you swipe through all the pics!
I love your collection. Here is a full list of coins: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Coin_(TCG) to help you/drive you to madness.
Wow thanks for this, I knew something like this had to be somewhere. Thereās sooooo many jeez š
I might need to do this. I have so many of these and never had a good way to store them and display them. Thanks, OP! And lovely collection, by the by!
Thank you š„°
My favorites were probably the Totodile & Sirfetchād coins. Nice unique collection OP, thanks for sharing
I yearn for nothing more then the totodile coin at a fair price. Only can find them in US / Japan for at least 30$ + shipping.
I collect those too and have a lot. Do they have any collectible value ? Great collection by the way
I think maybe if you get them graded, Iām not sure about just on its own though
Yes grading them might be a good idea actually. Saving them for now anyways.
I like this.
Do you have a wantslist of coins youāre missing? I feel like I have some vintage stuff I donāt see here, but maybe you have more binders!
I donāt honestly know all the coins that exist but Iām always looking for ones I donāt already have! Iād be curious to see what you have :)
Okay thanks š„° Iām always trying to organize all my poke stuff better too
Okay, I found half of what I was looking for, plus a handful of things I forgot I had, but Iām going to keep looking a bit more. Lots of nostalgia to be sure.
Two I see missing are the status markers that come with the Calyrex league decks and trainer toolbox. Nice collection though!
Pretty sick. Nice OC. I have a good amount, thought I don't "collect" them.. I have to say my favrotie is probably thr bedazzled Arceus one from the soft lunch tin or whatever. That coin is awesome!

Interested in the top 2 on the right, and the ones in the middle!

Wait you guys donāt chew on them until they disintegrate??
This is sick. Love poke coins.
Sweet!
People sleeve/binder coins?! Imma have to look in this! I have loads!
It is a huge coinllection!
Wow I love this idea. Very cool!
I love it. This is a great way to store and show off. Love the rainbow š
Thank you š„°
This collection is rad. What binder are you using?
Itās just a basic black 3 ring binder, the sleeves are 20 pocket pages so you can use any binder you want!
Thanks! Your collection definitely makes me want to start collecting coins as well hahaha
Whats the rarest coin? maybe the old shaymin one?
Iām honestly not sure! Iād love to know though haha
Impressive. Very nice. Letās see Paul Allenās collection.
Nice coins š i have tons jammed into an etb box nice to see something more organized
I have all my coins just shoved in a tin, but this really inspires me to do the same! Thanks for sharing! :)
Yay! Canāt wait to see when youāre done
Did you just order special sheets online? Or did you find these elsewhere? I love this idea. Had no clue these sheets even existed
I just ordered them from Amazon! 20 pocket binder pages
Thank you so muchāŗļø
I don't *actively* collect them, but any time I'm placing an order somewhere that also sells the coins, I chuck a few I don't have on the end of the order. They soon mount up! Personally it's made me appreciate the smaller coins again, they just feel nice in the collection.
I wish they would release gym badge coins
That would be so fun!
Thatās so cool! I believe they make larger coin holders that might fit them!
I have to do something like this with mine. Theyre all in tins all over the place
Okay I like it. Picasso.
This is a super neat way to store coins. Mine are all just floating around in an old tin š Iām definitely gonna have to invest in another binder and some binder pages like these sometime
Very cool
I also have my coins in a binder. I like them!

Great! Thanks for the reply going to order the same, canāt wait to get mine organized!
I love it. Thank you for sharing
Thatās actually pretty awesome!
this is so much nicer than my coins dumped into an empty elite trainer box, well done
This is such a classy looking collection! š
Thank you š„°
How wonderful!! Thank you for sharing!!
I love the one with the babies! So cute!
I have two coins so you could say thatās a start š
Nice collection by the way
Thanks! š
I just started doing this as well!!! I knew other people had to have large coin collections but I didnt think anyone else specifically collected the coins as well as the cards
It would be fun if there were alt art type of coins too š something to chase
Ah so sickk
Thanks! š
I've always wanted to get into coin collecting. I have some pretty old ones along with quite a few from the HGSS era but I already spend so much time hunting down cards.
You can be chill about it like I am! I donāt feel the need to collect them all, just getting ones I can get and ones that come out in new products
Idk why I never thought of buying coin pages for these. I have mine individually bagged in a boxā¦so like, Iāve collected them, but I canāt really look at them and donāt even know which ones I have. I really like this :)
yo cool!!! i have a handful of them myself. im gonna need to get some coin sleeves like that cause right now theyre chilling in an old prescription bottle that weirdly perfectly fits them all lol.
Well, I now know what my next collection addiction is gonna be!
My best coin is the white and green zygard coin
Love the Eevee coins.
Neat, thanks for sharing! Do you collect them by buying box sets specifically for the coins? Individually online? Or is it just a little side collection that coincides with collecting cards? I have a little collection of coins and I fall into the third category :)
I buy some of the box sets, the rest I traded for!
This post has made me appreciate the coins more š
That pooplio one thoš„¹ whereād you get most of your coins? Thanks for the inspiration, now Iām gonna start collecting coins too!š
Most from trades and the other half from products I opened :)
Where is the Pikachu coin on the left side third one down from? That's a great coin!
Thatās from the mini PokĆ©mon go tins. I like that one a lot too!
Thank you!!!
Are they like POG?
Iām not sure, not familiar with POG
a cardboard or plastic disk printed with a design or picture, collected or swapped by children or used in games. a children's game in which players strike a pile of Pogs with an implement, winning any that land face upwards when they fall.
No they're not like pogs. They can be used when playing the card game strictly as a heads/tails coinflip or just collected for the art on them.
I donāt even look at mine before tossing them in the trash
Did you have to buy the Marnie and Juniper box sets to get their coins?
I bought the Marnie one, someone traded me the Juniper one
I guess I'm going to have to do the same. I haven't seen those before but I've got to have them now.
Bruh these are POG slammers, you ain't foolin anyone..
Did you know there are those flips but for big silver dollars and they fit these coins perfectly!
Where did you get those sleeves?! I need this in my life
I got mine from Amazon. Just search 20 pocket binder pages
0/10 No Mega-Mawile coin.
Omg are you a Mawile lover too? Thatās my favorite PokĆ©mon!
Why hello there fellow cultured being š Why are you missing the coin? You gotta represent!
I didnāt even know that coin existed until now š so thanks for that All the ones I have I either got from opening up product, or trading here on Reddit. And that old mawile box is amazing but too pricey for me now. I might buy the coin eventually but itās fun to hunt for them in trades

I live in Philly, Iāll be in NYC for the day on Nov 2 :) I have the pin already actually my friend gave it to me but Iād love a coin!
2nd time today someone wants to meet that specific day... I work the evening shift that day, so unless you're around between 12PM-1PM I don't think it will be possible :/
Oops I meant Nov 1! If that changes anything
In THAT case I'm available after 3-4PM
I can shoot you a dm on here that day if that works :)
Which one is your favourite? Mines gotta be the old energy symbol ones from the ex era
Marnie is my favorite one š„°
The ones in the little boxes, where do those come from?
Those are half dollar coin holders
Do you want the charizard upc coins?
I actually placed a pre order at Target so Iāll get it :)
Does anyone know why they increased the size of the coins?
Do you have a āchaseā or āgrailā coin?
I love the coins! I paint them and want to have a binder full of panted coins
Oh cool! Can I see some ones you painted?
Send me a message
r/coins
These are sick!
Where is that mew coin from
PokƩmon center exclusive Fusion Strike ETB
Thanks
Any idea where the mew on page 1 came from?
I think it was from the PokƩmon center exclusive fusion strike ETB
Ah one of few I missed that's why lol
Do you have a list of all of the coins that exist and which ones you have? Iād love to know how many different ones are out there and how many youāve got
Do you know what the pikachu column 1 row 3 is from?
From the mini PokƩmon Go set tins
What did Xerneus do to you? They don't deserve this š
This makes me remember of a Pikachu metal coin that I got in the store in the 2000's, it got stolen in my school...
Awwww no :( sorry to the hear that
Thanks, it was a really nice coin, I never saw that model of coin again
Anyone ever find a correct size flipper for the new bigger coins?
They kind of remind me of my old pog/slammer collection. They look rly nice! That would be cool to make a secondary game with Pokemon coins š¤š¤
OP, you should make yourself a display like I did so your favorite ones are not hidden away in a binder. Awesome collection! https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonTCG/comments/iofci8/coin_display_i_made/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
Would you sell any? Maybe some you have extras on? Specifically, the mew and the sceptile and the Shaymin.
Third picture, top row between Genesect and Steelix. What PokƩmon is that? Yveltal? Xerneas? I really can't tell.
That Starmie is 100% my favorite one
the alakazam one is old, right? it looks so familiar
I see mine š
nice, i love collecting the coins I wish they do one in real silver or gold
Like pogs lol
what are the binder sheets you use?
20 pocket pages
I just got my kid his first PokĆ©mon cards and he got the coin on the very last picture here, top right purple coin. Does anyone know what PokĆ©mon that is made after? Heās curious and my PokĆ©mon knowledge doesnāt go much past the first couple of generations.
