The colour rendition of the Instax is much more true, but the dynamic range of the Polaroid makes it the clear winner for me, I quite like the colour cast.
Polaroid is definitely more temperature sensitive as I think your picture demonstrates. But when the development is in the pocket I think the colors (at least on the recent batches) are much better.
I put it in my pocket straight away, but I don't have a frog tongue to shield it for the first seconds. This whole pack hasn't been great for colours and contrast tbf.
Of these two photos the Instax to my eye (my own personal opinion, which counts for NOTHING, and I acknowledge that) is FAR superior in every way except MAYBE for the sky.
After owning a new Polaroid for a few years and the cost of film being so absurd for film that you can't guarantee is going to be good... I'm ready to switch over to Instax, the "look" of Polaroid just doesn't justify it for me.
Pick up a cheap wide 210, use the Polaroid once in a blue moon when you're feeling fancy, be disappointed, return to Instax.
That's how I've rolled the last few years. I do love using the 660 over the Instax, it's a great feeling camera to use, but the results aren't worth the cost.
The Instax is the clear winner between these two particular photos for me, but when I get Polaroid results like on the left it's usually because something somewhere went wrong along the way, such as temperature or exposure. Polaroid film is definitely more finicky. But I've definitely gotten results that are much more true color from Polaroid, too.
I never get such blue Polaroid pictures, mine are always good in color reproduction. As good as the Instax. The Polaroid has a wider dynamic range in my experience, it isn’t as contrasty.
Were these photos taken at the same time? According to the shadows, it looks like the sun on the polaroid is lower, and on instax it was done when the sun was higher.

It's amazing how much more of the background houses the Polaroid was able to capture.

The jacket pocket never disappoints!
I didn’t even mean that literally ahah

with no frog tongue, as soon as you take the picture, turn the camera upside down…

I love the Instax shot, really nice photo! Polaroid have given me similar results in my last pack.
Thank you!

I'm considering getting an Instax Wide camera or converting an old Polaroid to Instax Wide

This is probably what I'm going to end up doing honestly.
I like the composition of the instax image more but the quality and look of the polaroid

Reasons I mostly shoot instax tbh
