We need to find a middle ground and de escalate our political climate. I have no issues with abortion, background checks, and wait periods for guns. But red flag laws go too far. I truly wish we had a moderate party that fit my beliefs better. But our media on both sides and our elderly leadership do all they can to divide and have us rally behind different groups and cliches, which furthers the divide and break down of civil communication. 90% of the people reading this are doing so with a biased mindset and simply want to argue to try and make me fall into a more aligned thought process or simply self censor. Neither of which is good for the progression of our country. I don't hate democrats or Republicans, I'm sure a large majority of both are honest, hard-working Americans trying to make an educated judgment on the state of our nation. An argument for abortion is that the fetus in the womb is not sentient yet because enough brain development has not occured and thus an abortion would not be murder, because said baby is just a clump of cells and not a full life form yet
Another argument would be that pregnancy takes a huge mental and physical toll on the mother and having to raise a child when you didn't even want to in the first place is HUGELY detrimental to both the parents and the child. How the child is raised impacts the child's development and their whole life
Even if the mother chose to give the child up for adoption, she'll still have to face 9 months of pregnancy and the baby will have to be lucky enough to find another guardian in time, ideally before 2 years of age since after that not having loving parents around hugely impacts brain development
