Hmm, that does speed up my timeline of buying a Boxster, Iāve been watching the used market for one with sports chrono and PTV, but nothing so far, so my only option is new before EoY or keep waitingā¦
You might want to look for a GTS trim if you want those options. I have been looking for a looong while and very rarely see those options in a base or S. The GTS trim will have all of those standard.
I get it. For me though, the feeling of driving a Porsche with its always amazing gearbox is not the same without the third pedal. I just enjoy the dance too much to ever give it up completely.
Me paying 4K for PDK: š¤”
They raised the price of MY25 by 4500 so if you get manual you get really hosed (but they add sports chrono)
Yes I think we still saved. I picked up a last minute MY24 with a PDK and still saved $2.5k over the MY25.
My brother in Christ the PDK is filthy above cruising. IYKYK.
Last year of production, going out with a bang
You donāt think they will keep the ICE version alongside EV 718ās?
No I donāt sadly. 2024 is last year in Europe and 2025 is last year in US and other parts of the world as far as I know.

Interesting, I didnāt consider the GTS but youāre right maybe I should do more research
Also, keep in mind thereās two different versions of the GTS. Thereās a 2.5L turbo and a 4.0L naturally aspirated engine.
Thank you, yup I just found out too. In generally Iām of the odd camp that prefers the 2.5L turbo engine so Iāll be on the lookout for GTS 2.5
You and I both! I love the low end torque of the turbo.
Itās been about a week. You can still get a manual, but now everyone pays the PDK penalty.
In 2009-10 this would be cheered, car magazines telling you it is in fact better in the track etc. Today itās this.š
First they discontinued the cognac/espresso combo, now a āno costā $4,500 manual option. The next couple of years are gonna be wild! š
Is this for a FY25?
Fiscal year 2025? Sorry what does F stand for š Iām looking at a Boxster S
Nice
I love my PDK. Coming from driving only manuals, the PDK is amazing and so responsive. No way I could switch gears as quickly and confidently.
No one will ever debate that but the driving experience differs a lot, it will be a sad few years as they are phased out
