MAN YOUR BATTLE STATIOOONS

If a favor house Atlantic doesn't get you bouncing around you have no soul.

This is not only my favorite album by my favorite band, it’s also probably my favorite album of all time. Every song from the Ring in Return all the way to 21:13 is an absolute killer for me. I’m a huge fan of so many genres from classic rock to punk to metal. Coheed and Cambria remain the kings in my eyes and In Keeping Secrets is untouched for me to this day.

This was my first, uh, "underground" record so I hold it fondly. More accurately, it was the first record I bought via word-of-mouth as opposed to catching a song on the radio or TRL. It blew me away so much that I spent a couple of years asking friends "what's good bruh" and buying on recommendation alone, just trusting that they knew the goods. As far as the actual music on the album goes, the riff on the chorus of **Cuts Marked in the March of Men** shaves the stubble off of my face, as does the conclusion to **The Crowing**. I still play The Crowing to friends who want a sample of what composes my tastes so its stood the test of time.

WE DID IT GUYS COHEED ON THE BOARD.  This is one of their best. The whole album is is catchy, ray, and a food mix of phc, pop punk, and prog the whole way through There are so many cool climactic moments like - crowd chanting on title track - pull the trigger and the nightmare stops - dear ambellina - your father's dead he past in his sleep, etc... Plus favor house might be the catchiest song in the genre. A top 3 coheed album for me woth good apollo 1 and vaxis 2

I’ll never forget the first time heard this album on the day it came out. Anticipation was high after SSTB, and this album was just on another level and you knew it from the moment it started.

I’m so glad that this 11/10 album has finally gotten this kind of recognition around here. Not a bad song on this record, and one of the goats in the scene

I gave a comment about a month ago mentioning this record in an 'albums ahead of their time' thread in this subreddit: "I think sometimes we might not realize given Coheed's level of fame and body of work [today] that this album was way ahead of the curve for a 2003 release. Many bands would try to tackle sounds and styles that Coheed played on this release, as well as being a very well constructed piece of the overall Amory Wars epic. I think The Crowing is a great example of a song that embodies choices of sound and structure that many bands would try many years later to attempt in their own way. I think a similar case for being ahead of the curve could be attributed to Second Stage Turbine Blade as well for 2002, but of them I think this is the better choice for the question." I love Coheed and I love this record. I only found them thru the A Favor House Atlantic video on MTV and I'm so glad that I did. This was one of the first post-hardcore bands I had ever heard and undoubtedly helped shape my tastes in music overall.

It was such an amazing feeling hearing Three Evils for the first time. Just so different than anything I’d heard before

Livelife_Aesthetic

While it's not my favourite coheed album, it's still top tier, the crowing is still a weekly play, the way that song flows is just incredible

Dyl_S93

The Crowing is one of the best musical journeys I've listened to. Claudio always says he views it as two songs in one, and I know exactly what he means. I love this band so much.
