In the 1900’s there was another movement to reform English spelling, and TR was a strong supporter of it (sadly the movement was only semi-successful. It did create the spelling ‘thru’ that you see in ‘drive-thru’ and also should maybe just be used in everyday life instead of ‘through’)
That was back in 1806 by Noah Webster who hated redundant letters that only created problems.

I mean, all of these are things congress constitutionally should take care of, but congress is broken, putting all the weight on the Supreme Court, making the court numbers a major political agenda, destroying the function of the court. I’m not going to try and argue that the court doesn’t have MAJOR problems both with corruption and being out of touch, but I blame congress for breaking it
Government positions should be legally limited to federal minimum wage. Then congresspeople would realize why the rest of the country hates them and why life is difficult for the majority
I think one of many parts of the solution would be extending terms in the House to four years. Reps spend half their time in office campaigning when they hail from a competitive district.
Either that or we could condense the election season and set fundraising caps.
I want to upvote this twice. Other branches of government should *occasionally* pick up the slack when a branch of government fails to do it's job, but one branch completely abdicating it's role messes up the whole process. We need to do some major work improving the functioning of the legislature.
