Ahh bugger, Business Saver has a fee and my other flights have doubled in price from when I booked it.
I'll just book the rest of the year's flights. Wouldn't have made a difference other than lifetime SC as I'll retain Platinum anyway.
>We’ve confirmed with Qantas that **Points Club members will earn double Status Credits on reward seat bookings.**

Actually I checked flights last week and the same flights today (which I’ve now booked) are the same price.
I reckon Auckland business class is about to get very full though
Would I be eligible if I book through AMEX?
edit: wth prices more than doubled since I saw this from 1.4k -> 3.1k for SF even when also checking prices on the Qantas site
If I’ve got 40k points and 70 status credits I’m assuming I’m best off doubling points ?
And if I book rewards seats would that still count towards the offer

Combined, but not stacked. You still get the 20% bonus from the base SCs, but not 20% on top of the DSCs. Confirmed from flights I took during last year’s promo. Noting I had to follow up on ALL of my DSCs in 2023 as well. I think the Premier Ti bonus SCs set-up messes with the automated crediting for DSC.
Will double points still be valid if flights are adjusted after the promotional period? I want to book a bunch of work trips but they could shift by a few days either way
My double status credits bonus was finally applied today. It displays as "TWICE AS REWARDING BONUS STATUS CREDITS OFFER" and identifies the date of the applicable flight.
My flight was on 1 and 2 March. The double status points bonus was allocated today, 21 March. So roughly takes 3 weeks for Qantas to allocate the bonus.
They're not consistent with allocating the bonus. Sometimes they apply the bonus day immediately after my flight.
I think the double points are credited to the date of allocation. Not the date of the flight. At least that's how it shows on the app. Fortunately the status points were credited this month because my membership year ends in a few days.
Anyone else had delay with their bonus points being applied?
Does anyone know if I book a flight for myself and partner, will they also get double status credits if they have already selected that benefit in the app? Or do they need to book separately?
Terms and conditions say as long as they have also selected their reward then it will work for them as well.
Just obviously make sure you like the frequent flyer number when booking.
Does anyone know if a codeshare like Emirates but a QF8 flight number qualify? I just read the t&c and it calls out Finnair as qualifying with aQF and Jetstar as not with a QF but is silent on Emirates?
Should I cancel and rebook?
I have flights booked to Asia for July, now that the double SC promo is out, should I cancel and rebook?
A couple of things to note:
1) the cancellation charge is $200 but the flight is $100 cheaper now
2) this will help me get Silver status
I have only just started accumulating points and fly once a year international and about 3-4 times a year domestic.
Is it worth it?
Personally, nothing is worth chasing for Siler status. If you can get there just on your own basis, then all good. But I would not recommend going out of your way to get to Silver. There are not real benefits other than the single lounge pass they give you when you tick over.
If I am trying to get status credits and I book a flight with economy classic reward using points plus a small fee will I be able to get status credits?
Can anyone confirm if I take a QF flight operated by Alliance Airlines if the DSC applies? From the fine print I’m thinking no…
Example flight is QF1993 BNE-ADL.
The wording seems to say it has to also be marketed AND operated by QF.
Alliance Airlines codeshares are fine, except for the FIFO type charters. Basically if it’s a QF marketed flight on Alliance that you book through the QF website, it will work. There’s been a couple of confirmations of this though the travel bloggers (like Point Hacks) who’ve checked it with Qantas
I have an an existing flexible business booking for an o/s trip that is about to be date changed - anyone know if this is considered a new booking (wasn’t covered in terms and conditions)?
Possibly an additional leg to be added to the new booking.
Question - I registered for double credits this morning and just booked a flight but after I paid, I realised it's only showing in the app as the normal 10 credits per leg. Does it automatically get doubled or should it be saying 20?
What about flights I have booked in the last week for travel between now and after Easter. I have 4 trips to Brisbane and 3 to Melbourne from Perth and Melbourne to Brisbane day trip all booked to fly between now and end of April
Announced 2 days after I booked a return direct from Perth to London, spoke to the QFF crew and they won't budge.
Surely they could make an exception, especially since they have some public image to repair and customer relations to mend.
I have booked about 30 flights today which should get me to platinum. Does anyone know if you can see a summary of the status credits on your upcoming trips somehow?
If I cancel already booked flights convert to a flight credit and re-book using the flight credit that will still count right?

Can’t find any fine print on if this works for rewards flights for a points club member? Any ideas

Works with reward flights that earn SC.
I’m keen to know this as well
It has for me in the past. It could have changed of course.
This is hilarious. It’s like Christmas Day for this subreddit. You get bonus credits! You get bonus credits!
And you get the pleasure of paying inflated fares for that privilege!
Actually I checked flights last week and the same flights today (which I’ve now booked) are the same price. I reckon Auckland business class is about to get very full though
Tried to register on the latest version of the app and it says technical difficulties :(
Delete the app and then reload it and it works :-)
Just tried didn't fix the issue.
Worked for me
That is a stupid problem if that fixes it. Like WTF is the app not auto updating
Agree
Same
Keep retrying. They’re getting slammed

Cheers mate. I checked the fare conditions and it says airline mileages counts so I'm sure it will.
This is great, 50% less effort, looks like Platinum is achievable this year!
Yeah Lifetime Gold here so never bothered with chasing Platinum anymore but this changes the equation.

Do you have points club? You don't earn status credits on rewards seats.
I only have 40k points so I don’t think so? More with the double points promo Might just spend money on it and save the 80k for an international trip
If you do have points club, does double status credits apply to classic reward bookings? I couldn’t see mentioned in T and Cs
Does anyone know if this promotion will stack with the 20% bonus status credit on premier titanium cards? Thank you!
It doesn't - people on other forums have reported that you get 2.2x as many credits, not 2.4x.

A week after booking a trip to Europe. Typical. And only a 1 week in which to book...gotta get planning!
Sameeee. I’m considering cancelling and rebooking….
Anyone else getting an error message when trying to register?
Will double points still be valid if flights are adjusted after the promotional period? I want to book a bunch of work trips but they could shift by a few days either way
As long as they retain the same PNR and you fly within the promo period you should still get them.

Time to work out where I'm going this year :)
Thanks for the heads-up!

Emirates flights don’t count, even under a QF codeshare.
Bastards! Thanks for clarifying!!
Possibly a silly question. I've already got 12 flights booked over the next few weeks. Will they automatically have this applied once I've opted in?
No, only for flights booked from when you registered to the end of the offer.
Noooooooo 😨
I'd cancel and rebook if it were me.

No. Unless you have points club.

No, you're modifying an existing booking made outside the promo period.
Thanks. That seems reasonable but was hoping …. would have been nice to get back to platinum on a single trip.
I just booked qatar business to Berlin. No doubt that will be better than Qantas but instant plat would've made me think
So I’ve registered and it says it will send an email to confirm within 15 minutes. I’ve been waiting for hours and it hasn’t come through yet?
Check on the mobile app. It should show whether you’re registered there.
Thank you! I did and it shows a green tick over the double SC option. Just booked my May-November work flights for 2k SC 🫠
Question - I registered for double credits this morning and just booked a flight but after I paid, I realised it's only showing in the app as the normal 10 credits per leg. Does it automatically get doubled or should it be saying 20?
The double status credits will appear on your account 1-3 days after you travel.
Reality says otherwise so far. Still waiting for 3 return trips in the last few weeks to show…
What about flights I have booked in the last week for travel between now and after Easter. I have 4 trips to Brisbane and 3 to Melbourne from Perth and Melbourne to Brisbane day trip all booked to fly between now and end of April
Not eligible. You need to have registered (for double stats credits) then booked your flight(s).
Well fuck
Why is the Qantas points wine calculator not working. I expect an update based on the double points now
Announced 2 days after I booked a return direct from Perth to London, spoke to the QFF crew and they won't budge. Surely they could make an exception, especially since they have some public image to repair and customer relations to mend.
Nope. They won’t. They don’t care.
I have booked about 30 flights today which should get me to platinum. Does anyone know if you can see a summary of the status credits on your upcoming trips somehow?
Go to your QFF Bookings page - SC are listed for each eligible flight.
