I haven't done a swap myself, but I read somewhere on this subreddit of someone that swapped to hall effect and it still didn't fix the issue.
would love an update from OP too!
I only made the swap due to I had some wild stick drift on the left stick only after a month. It’s very simple to swap. Just gives it a little future proofing as well
Unfortunately the input tester on MuOS sucks and I’m having issues trying to do it through my PC but if I get an answer I’ll definitely let you know cause I’m curious at this point
Edit: Though I believe it may just say you’re getting only 8 direction due to stock os only testing for that like MuOS only tests for 4 and not for 360 degrees. Any game I’ve played with free movement you get 360 movement no issues at all. But if I can test through PC I’ll make a separate post with the results.
It’s pretty straightforward you just need the right size Phillips head, Alan key, and some plastic tweezers. A basic understanding of ribbon cables and you’re all set. There’s a quick tear down video on YouTube so you can get idea if you’d be okay with doing it.
Looks great, would you provide a link to the joysticks, and give us a tour opinion on them after some use?
Did the new joysticks fix the issue with the only 8 direction joysticks?
Not sure but I can test it later and I’ll let you know on here
Thank you! I've not heard concrete answers one way or the other yet so IMO if it fixes it it's a must have upgrade.

I read the same. That's why I haven't swapped mine

Would you say after a few days it was worth changing the joysticks?
It just feels more quality there’s not much difference in performance
How hard was switching out the buttons? I’m itching to do it but if it’s a whole to-do I’d rather pass.

Smooth👌🏾
I live that! Nice work
I love the grips on the back, where did you get them? Do you have a link?
