I do agree with the sentiment that at some point Blake just became, in my opinion, barely a noticeable character within the team, though to be fair I stopped watching after volume 7 I think.
Volume 1-3 Blake actually felt like this complicated idea within the team where yes, she was a faunus, but more than that she had been part of a terrorist organization. Even though she got out there was always this mystique about what she was hiding and whether or not it could just decide to come back to bite her somehow someday, and possibly drag her new friends into it.
I do believe, and hate me if you want, I don't particularly mind the idea that Blake is the daughter of what's essentially king of the faunus. What I'm mad about in retrospect from when I first saw it is that there wasn't more tension between her and her parents, bordering on animosity for being a part of something that her father had originally created to peacefully protest for the rights of faunus, only for that to be warped and made into said terrorist organization. It felt like there was no consequence, and that played into Blake's descent into a passive shell.
But beyond all that I need to say this. As someone who's never seen Ice Queendom so maybe I'm being unfairly judgemental, but Blake's face looks a little off and it bothers me.
What was her personality during vol 1-3 and ice queendom?
I stopped watching rwby after volume 6. I wasnt intend to watch further. I heard some rumors during vol 7, 8 and 9.
I disagree. I mean from volume 1, her goal is supposed to be to discourage discrimination towards faunus, and the first thing she does is to be discriminatory herself, because instead of trusting Ruby for example with whom she had already established a connection, she decides instead to tell her story to a complete stranger, she decides to tell her story to a complete stranger of whom the only thing she saw was that he was a stowaway and a faunus (besides she makes Sun look like an idiot who doesn't even know the history of his own people) and followed by no explanation of how she could enter Beacon being a former terrorist (who apparently in her trailer didn't even bother to hide her face), and finally, unlike Weiss who at least we see how she goes from being repellent to her team to being more friendly and concerned about them, Blake instead we never see her approaching (by her own choice to her teammates) and always remaining repellent despite the fact that as I said her goal is based on equality.
Ah, back when it felt like Blake actually had a personality and character outside of her relationship with Yang. I miss those days…
Back when… any character had a personality.
Back in the days when they weren’t accidental douchebags
Back in the day when Blake's hair style was beautiful.
Now she’s got the Karen cut
She was never my favourite but she was a lot better till we found out she was basically a Faunus princess
Where it was clear Blake was starting out. [And silly cat meme energy](https://www.deviantart.com/dustiniz117/art/RWBY-I-Can-Haz-Fish-Meme-567872559)
Bring back silly cat blake
Just a friendly reminder that volume one Blake tried to play off ethnic cleansing as "misguided". The ice queendom version was pretty good though.

Yeah. I agree
Hey at least Arryn is killing it as Black Swan now.
I agree...she had a personality before the shipping rendering her into nothing character.
