When Iām playing Kapkan and the Goyo puts a barricade on the door with my traps and puts his gadget on the barricadeā¦. ugh. Now the attackers are just going to wait outside instead of rushing. If they would just put it next to the Kaplan they die in the fire if they get downed.
My friend and I combo kapkan, aruni, and goyo all the time. we call it scorched earth, it's hilarious. They spend a while trying to get rid of the gate so they ignore the kapkan trap, then it detonates the vulcan and everything burns in hellfire.
I play him a lot and I enjoy him. I use the bounce mode so you can get it around doors. Very useful. Either they reveal themselves or they wait so you have a chance to run in or rotate.
Honestly I could see a good argument for leaving those uncastled, I try not to do windows I know they can easily get to with little resistance because it's not really going to slow them down. If no one's going to watch them though he should've blocked them off.

Though I was literally against the wall leaning right next to the window. Like it couldn't have been more obvious.

Castle can be so op if used properly. I like close off doors offsite forcing the attackers to go a specific way, some easy free kills most of the time.
When I play castle I go above or below site with my friend (who normally is some sort of trap op) and then play vert on site while my friend makes I harder for them to flank us. Normally the opponents take about 1:30 to kill us. So most of the round wasted just trying to clear out 2 goofballs setting up some random room. It's even better if the enemies don't find the bomb because sometimes they'll push us thinking it's site
It's okay I had some castle on my team in ranked block me out of 3F Consulate site when after site set up I went to go do some anchored roaming around main stairs, Office, and Office stairs to look for picks, but had to rotate back to Yellow stairs since they came from basement.
Homeboy locked me out of that entrance to CEO, so I impact grenaded his AP and he immediately got on the mic to berate me about it when he himself was fucking dead.

His ability is to make it safer for his teammates to rotate while making it a lot more difficult to move in as an attacker, itās why castles a more complex op then people initially think since he requires a good game plan and good map knowledge to know good spots to block off
