I’m sorry no, this beard does NOT look good in pic 1. It is cut WAAAY too low on your face, and looks like a child wearing a fake beard. Bring the line UP.
Imagine a straight line from the corner of your mouth to the top of your ear, right where it meets your head. Do not shave off anything below this line. Trim, yes. Shave off, no.
Also punch anyone who tries to draw in your beard line like that.

Bro it’s prob just patchy above that line so he can’t get a clean line up higher up, i agree the lineup is low but it looks way better then a patchy higher up beard line up, I’d say the beard is 6/10 Atleast
We are both just trying to help, and our opinions will be different based on where we live and the people around us. But IMO, absolutely he should leave the natural cheek line where it grows. Let it be patchy/have a fade. That is a much better choice for the beard color and face shape.
Do a google image search for “nice red beard” and you will see two things:
- men with beards that are cut cleanly at or around the imaginary line I mentioned.
- men with beards that don’t grow that high up, and are left at their natural line/fade at the cheek
You will not see any with a straight line cut this low on the face, and certainly none that have a lineup drawn on (with the wrong color even 😩)
3/10 lose the heard length use sunscreen as i already see premature aging, finasteride to keep your hair switch to middle parted hair to hide recession, depending on height can ascend to 4,5 to 5

Let the beard come up a little higher and fade in the cheeks instead of threading or whatever it is you're doing to make the lines so sharp.
Got it done at a barber shop. He had said the same thing about letting it come in more around my cheeks.
