Bojack Horseman. When it came out, I watched the first episode and couldn't finish it. Then, one year after it ended I tried again and watched all seasons in a month
Stopped watching Re:Zero with my dad cuz it wasn’t as good as I remembered, and Subaru was really annoying. He kept watching it on his own and loved it, so I eventually went back, and… yeah, it’s pretty baller…
Death Note, thought the story was too complex and boring and idk why, maybe i grew smarter since then because I'm watching it now and it's easy to follow and pretty entertaining
I had Erased in my Hulu Watchlist for literally 5 years.
Watched it last Month. Instant Favorite. Not quite the question you asked but similar enough in concept I felt it was worth mentioning lol.
Morel orel. Must've seen it at first on adult swim when it came out YEARS ago but didn't really vibe with the whole mocking Christianity stuff as a kid. Hollllly shit. What an experience. Morel orel is one of the greatest things I've ever watched and I don't think I will EVER be able to talk to anyone about this show irl holy fuck it got dark.
Definitely this, the show completely changes at the end of the second season and gets really good and really dramatic and really dark. This show is the closest thing to finding out the dark family secret.
Cowboy Bebop. I first watched it in high school but couldn’t get into it. Then I tried it again during the pandemic when I got older. That anime is peak.
I was obsessed with Naruto when it first came to Cartoon Network. After a while, I just lost interest. But back in 2021, I said, "Why not," and gave it another shot. and it's now among my favorite anime, including Fullmetal Alchemist (2003) and Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's.

yugioh 5ds is so underrated.
Gurren Lagann
