I'm not at home right now, but I can post the letter if you guys are interested. It was just a brief description of how I made it, and I wouldn't be mad if they cut a shitty movie in half with it. I also wrote about how I was at the infamous Joe Pilato convention in Arizona back in 2003/2004.. I ended up getting a shitty telemarketing job with Brain Damage Films (they were a vendor there).
Absolutely.. I reached out to the original prop guy for the Exorcist III, and he told me the original shears were long gone, and that they barely worked on set. He had re-created the shears as a 3D model, and he was kind enough to give me the model. After lots of trial and error, I was able to get these CNC Machined, chrome-plated, and I was able to add the spring hardware afterwards. They don't slam shut like in the movie (or make that cool sound), but it's close enough.
Exactly.. I reached out to the original prop guy from Exorcist III and he was kind enough to give me a 3D model he made (years after the film).. I was able to get that file machined in steel, chrome plated, and then I added the spring hardware afterwards.

Thank you! I'd never seen it done before, and now I understand why. They were a pain in the ass to make, and they weigh about 10-ish lbs. But I'm happy with the final result!
Props!
Hopefully we can expect a Baby Bink to be decapitated soon!
Perfect for cutting film. That's how they edit the show, right?
I sent them a letter saying that I hope they cut a shitty movie in half. Fingers crossed for the Halloween episode!
Mike wrote on Patreon that Rich lost the letter…

Sure. Maybe post it on Patreon. Maybe they see it.

Hell yeah man that is awesome! RIP Rich Evans!
Thank you! All I want to see is Mike Stoklasa in the white town chasing Rich Evans with these (not in a weird way)
Care to share how they were made?

That's pretty awesome. Thanks for being the kind of weirdo to follow through with that.
I think you will find to your horror that Rich Evans cannot die....
Oh my gaaaaaaaawd!
I hope they use it on a marble jesus!
The killer from Clock Tower uses these too. It's an obvious reference, but a good one.
That's exactly what I thought of when I first saw Exorcist III.
Rick Evans is rolling in his graaaaave
Great work man, they look awesome. Congrats! I hope they do use it in one of their videos!
Thank you! Me too!
Those are cool! I always thought they were just a real medical device. So, you had to make this from scratch and couldn’t just buy one?

Did you tell them to cut Jay's hair with it?
No, but I should've. Damnit!
Can you explain how did you make this? Wonderful job, you hack!

the finish is great!
Thank you! I had them chrome plated
Absolutely insane replica. Well done! I've always loved the giant shears.

Beautiful! Great work
Thank you!
Spoopy
Amazing!
Thank you, fellow hack fraud!
